View Full Details of Invicta CourtThe team and facilities at Invicta Court have exceeded our expectations. We faced the unfortunate situation of my father being taken seriously ill and needed to arrange palliative care at short notice. Fortunately there was a space available and after a quick engagement process with Jaime and the team, we were able to move Dad from the hospital into the care home. They have liaised brilliantly with both the hospital and hospice, and the staff give Dad the comfort, care and support he needs at this difficult time. The whole family knows that he is in good hands.
What a fantastic evening the Staff gave Residents, Family & Friends on Halloween night. A great quiz, fabulous decorations & food & drink we're provided for us all. Nothing is too much trouble for this beautiful Redidential Care Home. Thank you to all concerned. xx
I like to say a big thank you to all at Invicta Court. The care, support & compassion everyone has shown my Mum during her respite stay has been wonderful. It was unfortunate my Mum wasn't well enough to embrace all the activities you had on offer, it really is an amazing place.
Everyone at Invicta Court made me feel so welcome from arrival until leaving. Having participated in the Later Life Care information hub, Jaime's attention to detail and organisation for the event meant everything went to plan. The care home is beautiful and gives a luxurious feel, which must be so reassuring for families who move their loved ones into Invicta Court
Staff members organised a hollowed quiz night What a great success it was ,food and drinks supplied The staff showed great enthusiasm for this evening giving help to residents and guests. It was light hearted and a joyful occasion I would like to thank everyone who helped make this happen also fellow guests
Putting my family member into a care home was an incredibly difficult decision, but the staff at Invicta Court were very helpful, supportive and went out of their way to accommodate us. Not once have I regretted my decision, the care and attention given is outstanding and my family member has a much better quality of life now. Communication is excellent and every member of staff I've encountered is happy, warm and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. My family member is able to take part in a variety of activities including things she always loved doing like baking. The facilities are high quality, the rooms are warm, bright and the decor throughout is lovely. The food is nice and varied. Having the downstairs cafe as a place to socialise is wonderful, it makes visiting a really pleasant experience and the cakes are pretty good too! I would highly recommend Invicta Court without hesitation.
My Father has been in residence for over 3 years now and during his stay I have been very confident that he is being cared for 24 hours a day. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and my father is very happy.
My Auntie moved to Invicta Court for respite last December and never went home she loved it so much! All the staff are kind, caring and very approachable. They made her feel so at home from the moment she arrived. She loves the huge variety of activities that are available each day. She is always so busy that I have to time my visits around her activities! The food too is delicious and she is so so happy there. You can't ask for more really. Thank you to all the incredible staff at Invicta Court.
After an operation I spent 3 weeks in Invicta Court care home and words cannot express my thanks and appreciation adequately. The nursing care was excellent and all the staff were genuinely concerned about my well being: they were so supportive. The laundry service was first class. Clothes were returned quickly + nothing went missing. The relaxing pampering sessions were great fun. My visitors were made welcome and we all enjoyed coffee + cakes in the cafe. The positive, happy atmosphere contributed to my recovery. I have no hesitation in recommending Invicta Court wholeheartedly.
Perfect place to rest and heal the mind body. The garden is restful and beautifully designed. The rooms are immaculately kept and most overlook the beautiful trees. The staff are very happy and management are a credit to any businines. Relaxed but in charge. I am 90 years old.
My mother settled into invicta Court over 3 years ago and sees it as her home. The staff attend to her personal care needs well. I am particularly impressed that they can detect when she is going downhill and react to the situation immediately, as in a recent UTI . This is a confort to me.
My Mum has now been at Invicta Court for a month, having spent all of her life in Devon. The whole experience has been exceptional from my first enquiry through to my Mum's arrival in June. The Customer Relations Manager remained in contact throughout the process of relocating Mum along with the Home Manager and Deputy Manager. Also a big thank you to the two Team Leaders and the Team for helping to settle Mum in so quickly and your support to the family. The activity programme that Invicta Court has in place definitely helps the residence to socialise and interact with each other and the Team and I'm convinced this is why there is such a community spirit throughout.
Top class care home, staff lovely nothing is too much trouble, very caring and they make time to chat to residents and their family's to enure they are happy. Lots of activities to keep resident's minds and body's active and entertained.
We had to make a quick decision following the sudden death of my father as my mum's ability to cope (with Alzheimer's) was deteriorating. We were welcomed and an assessment took place to ensure mum could be cared for in the right way. It was the toughest time for us as a family and mum took a long time to settle, constantly talking about going home with her bags packed ready to leave. The staff have been amazing at supporting and getting to know mum and taking the time to get to know and reassure us when we've found it tough. They are incredible, kind, responsive and they know mum, and spot immediately if she's not herself. From the carers to reception staff, hostess to lifestyle team, gardener, domestic staff and hairdresser. All are experienced in distraction techniques and are reassuring, always say hello and stop for a few words. A real home from home. The leadership team have been responsive and available. My family will be forever grateful for the care and kindness shown.
My husband and I joined my mother -in-law for the VE Celebrations Event at Invicta Court. The staff had really gone above and beyond in organising this event. The cafeteria and cinema room were festively decorated. Many of the staff were dressed in war time clothing which made it all feel quite authentic! They served beautifully presented delicious food and there was a lovely lady who entertained us all with some beautiful British war time songs. The atmosphere was wonderful and you could see the smiles on residents' faces, remembering this special day 80 years ago, but of course also remembering the difficult war time years. The afternoon finished with a fantastic display of military vehicles and personnel outside. Today it was again clear to see how happy the residents were and how well they are cared for by the staff, who are so respectful, attentive, kind and caring. Thank you to everyone for this special event remembering a period in history which must never be forgotten.
My relative is absolutely loving being at Invicta Court. She has really come out of herself since arriving and now takes part in so many of the wonderful activities that are offered. The staff know all the relatives when we come in to visit and they make us feel welcome and listened to, always making time to talk to us and address any queries. My relative's room is very homely and she loves the cafe and the well kept garden. The staff are very kind, positive and encouraging and my relative says she feels safe and really well looked after.
I really can't put into words the level of excellence my mum received at Invicta. From first contact at the moment we needed to seek help for her, all the team were exceptional. Caring, friendly, supportive, simply a lovely group of skilled and sensitive people giving their absolute best to care for and honour the needs of people in their older years. All through mum's time at Invicta, the standard remained the same. One of the things a family needs most at such an emotional time is to be able to trust and rely on good people who really care, and Invicta met every single need - both mum's and family's - with support and sensitivity. Thank you to everyone, we're so glad we made the decision to come to you.
My Step-Father went into Invicta Court in January 2025 and things could not have gone better. As a family we were very anxious and concerned regarding my step father settling in, but all worries were eliminated from day one. Not only is the home so new, clean and modern but the staff are second to none. They all work as a unit and familiarise themselves with residents immediately. It is so refreshing when we visit to see staff members acknowledging residents by name and actually caring. The home caters for residents as though they are 'home from home' and the variety of activities on offer every day is fantastic. As soon as you enter the home you feel the light, happy atmosphere and how alive and buzzy the place is, there isn't anything dull, dirty or depressive that you so often find in care homes to alarm you. We have nothing but praise for this fantastic home!
Since arrival to Invicta Court, Mum has been made to feel welcome and part of the Invicta Court 'family'. She has been beautifully cared for and shown dignity and respect. Staff are professional, polite and cheery. Mums individual needs have been met with care and compassion. This has been a difficult time for Mum, settling into her new surroundings and challenging due to her dementia and initial reluctance to leaving her own home. As a family, it has been an anxious time, but we feel that we have been listened to. We feel able to communicate our concerns and worries openly. The lifestyle team make an effort to encourage and include mum with the activities on offer- unfortunately she is not always receptive to joining in. However, if coaxed and persuaded, mum has enjoyed the activities she has attended so I do feel it is in her best interests to keep trying to encourage her to join in. Invicta Court is a lovely environment within which to visit mum- calm, happy and welcoming.
We are so delighted with the care our mother has received at Invicta Court, from the carers to the lifestyle team, who provide events all day every day to suit all needs, the nurses, the wider support team, management, reception and admin, the chef also does a wonderful job. The rooms and facilities are first class and I feel like I'm visiting her at home. The gardens are delightful, a lovely place to relax and spend quality time during the summer months. We especially enjoy spending time together at the Bistro, to catch up and have a coffee or a cup of tea and cake. My mother's quality of life has improved 100% since arriving last summer.
