View Full Details of Royal WindsorIt was suggested to us as a family that perhaps respite care would help in my mums recovery following a series of major life and health events.Looking for the right care home was obviously extremely important to us and we found that in the Royal Windsor. It is a very warm, friendly place with wonderful caring staff and exceptional food. Family and friends are made to feel so welcome and it just has a very special feeling about it. In my opinion it has the whole package. Mum was in the care of the Royal Windsor team for seven months and in that time we all saw such a positive change in her - back to her former self and now she is home again. The nurturing, care and support that mum received at the Royal Windsor - by all the team, I believe helped mum achieve this goal and we are truly grateful for this. Thank you.
I was a resident at the Royal Windsor care home for seven months following a period of ill health. It is a very nice place and has such a warm atmosphere. All the staff are so lovely and very kind and the food at the home is outstanding. I was very happy there and made lots of friends. If I needed respite again in the future I wouldn't go anywhere else other than the Royal Windsor. The encouragement that I received helped me enormously in my recovery. Thank you very much.
My husband stayed for a weeks respite. The staff were caring and so very kind to him. Nothing was too much trouble. Facilities good, food good, he was treated with dignity and respect and will go again for future respite.
Mum (95) arrived at Royal Windsor in a very sad state. Confused, frail and she had just had a fall and broken her arm. It was a huge relief when we were met with such lovely staff & so much easier to leave mum. Soon there was a big change. She was less confused and was enjoying activities and meeting other residents, encouraged by staff. Despite medical problems mum has improved physically and is well settled. She loves the staff and enjoys chatting with them as they are so helpful. We are always consulted and they have gone above and beyond helping our circumstances, working with us to get the best outcome for mum. Recently they hosted my dad's 95th birthday (he's still at home) with a special celebration and a big cake, making it a very special day for us. We couldn't recommend this lovely care home more highly. From managerial to care and home staff they are all so kind, accommodating, caring and have made a huge difference to all our lives knowing mum is looked after so well.
Mum has been at Royal Windsor for over a year. One thing I notice is the caring staff seem to change a lot. I am sure if you paid a higher wage, you would retain staff and as my mum has dementia, it must be hard for her to understand. It's a very demanding role and I appreciate all the care they provide for my mum.
Royal Windsor staff, from the cleaners, carers, office staff, kitchen, and management, have gone above and beyond to support my Father. I am, for the first time in a very long time, able to relax knowing he is being cared for to a better standard than I could do myself. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found Royal Windsor.
My aunt has been a resident in the Royal Windsor for six months. When I looked for a Care Home in June last year I was very impressed with the modern spacious rooms, the wide airy corridors, the lounges, and other facilities. But most of all the promise of 24/7 care for my aunt. After six months I am even more impressed. The staff are very attentive and quick to give support, the food is excellent and the daily activities provide many opportunities for social interaction. I highly recommend the Royal Windsor.
My mom has been a resident at Royal Windsor since April 2024. Royal Windsor is not only spotlessly clean and well-appointed but operates as one big, happy family. My mom is very well cared for and treated with respect. All the staff from the management through to housekeeping operate with their resident's best interests at heart. They are kind, helpful, jolly, dedicated, and above all understanding and accommodating. The care staff are well-trained and patient and take their time. Mom is not rushed, she feels understood and has been allowed the space to build up that all-important trust. The standard of food and its service is excellent. The activities offered are second to none, with two designated activity coordinators offering inclusive, well-thought-through activities every morning and afternoon in a relaxed Bistro setting. From arts and crafts to singing and dancing it all goes on here. I happily leave my mom after a visit knowing that we are all in very safe hands.
Putting Mum in care is one of the hardest things we have had to do as a family as we said we never would when Dad past. It was the worst Christmas we had truly experienced as a family but I have my own health issues and my sister lives too far away. Mum had a fall and I have struggled to care for her. When we went into the Royal Windsor it was like a weight had been lifted from start to Mum moving I didn't realise it could be so easy. We looked round a few that seemed nice enough but this one had a feel I cannot explain. Everyone, even the other people that live there, are just lovely. We have been so worried how Mum would take, well, she shocked us all. She loves it and it really has taken the weight off. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
My uncle has been at Royal Windsor quite some time now he absolutely loves it there and I can see why. I've not had many dealings with care homes but this is like a hotel but with a home from home feel. My wife and I have been treated so well every time we visit. We see how well he is cared for and nothing seems to be too much trouble. If this place is still available when I am older, I would have no issues in signing myself in. I can't recommend this home enough it really changed our view on what a care home is.
My brother and sister-in-law have been residents in the Royal Windsor since March 2024. My siblings and I are grateful for the comfort and care our relatives receive and for the friendliness that we as their relatives also experience when visiting or otherwise contacting the home. I have no hesitation in recommending the Royal Windsor to anyone looking for residential care for their relatives.
My father recently had two weeks of respite and thoroughly enjoyed himself. In his words "it was like staying at a 5-star hotel!" From the beautiful welcoming environment, quality of furnishings and decor, to the attentive, kind and supportive staff, excellent meals, entertainment/ activities and other residents to spend time with. It was truly an all-inclusive stay! It was well worth the money spent to see our father leave like 'his old self' again. So much so he is looking to return again in the future.
The Royal Windsor is an outstanding residential home. It is welcoming, there is always a friendly atmosphere throughout. The rooms are light and airy and clean, feeling very luxurious. The staff demonstrate a high level of emotional warmth, care and support to the residents and meet their individual needs with understanding, compassion and dignity, going above and beyond. The activities staff promote an inclusive environment for all residents and nothing is too much trouble in catering for each person's needs, a full programme of diverse activities is always available, along with a smile and plenty of encouragement and family and friends are always welcome to join in. The administration staff are very professional and excellent in dealing with any queries, they are extremely supportive with any issues that need addressing. I highly recommend Royal Windsor Care Home as it feels 'home from home'.
I absolutely love living here, I can't fault it at all. Clean. Food is good, we always have a choice. All staff and also other residents are friendly. Happy with my decision to move here. They let me use the puzzle table as I love doing jigsaws.
Couldn’t recommend Royal Windsor highly enough - all the staff are very friendly, caring and attentive, always a friendly atmosphere. The accommodation is so clean and inviting, with a full range of activities for residents. A*.
I booked into the Royal Windsor for two weeks respite to follow a hip operation. I found the activities, bedroom, communal lounges, etc. Very well provided, with comfortable furniture etc. The staff were very kind, really helpful and would go the extra mile to please. The chef and his staff dealt with my lactose-intolerant diet very well. The activities staff were very enthusiastic. Very heartwarming to see. Management is very professional. So good all-round - I stayed another week!
My whole family cannot praise this wonderful care home enough. The love and care shown to my mother, who lives with dementia, is outstanding. We are so grateful for the peace of mind they have given us. The home itself is beautiful and everyone who works there is a credit to their profession.
First impression was the excellent car park, easily accessible with wide bays. Excellent and prompt, secure access welcome by intercom. Initial reaction was that I was in an exceptionally lovely hotel. Escorted to my sister's room by a lovely and helpful lady. My sister's room was lovely, light and airy. Best of all was my sister's happiness and contentment following her operation - you can't put a price on that! Manager was professional, helpful and approachable - even offered me tea and cake. Well done!
My mum sadly passed away in Royal Windsor; she had been a resident for just over a year during which time the staff have been absolutely phenomenal. My mum was a proud lady and she was treated with respect, dignity and friendliness by everyone. All the staff genuinely care about the residents and also family; they go beyond their duty as 'a job' and it is a 'home from home'. I thank them so much for caring for my precious mum.
I am delighted with the care my aunt received whilst living at the Royal Windsor for 5 months. It is a warm and welcoming care home. Numerous activities are available and my aunt enjoyed joining in and making new friends. Bedrooms are well appointed allowing for privacy and dignity for personal care. The care is first class. Staff are very experienced, supportive, kind and respectful. My aunt felt very safe, happy and loved. I can not praise the home highly enough.
