View Full Details of Littleton LodgeMum has been a resident at Littleton Lodge for just over a year, so it would now seem fitting to share my thoughts on the care that she receives. After a particularly stressful time living at home, Mum is now in an environment where she is cared for with love, compassion, and dignity. I cannot speak highly enough of the fantastic team that support her in her day to day life and that have the ability to take away her anxieties by the holding of her hand, a reassuring word, or just making her favourite drink - the small things really do make a difference and knowing those things leads to exceptional care ! The Leadership Team at Littleton Lodge have always been approachable, available and responsive, but most importantly they genuinely care about their residents. I am now confident that Mum is living her best life in a place that she calls home.
I have spent quite a few hours with mum at Littleton recently. Every person involved in her care is, in my opinion, amazing. From the manager through all levels, mum is treated with patience, kindness and compassion. She is quite deaf and I have noticed everyone takes the time to ensure she knows what is going on and to communicate with her in a way she can comprehend. Living overseas it is a great comfort knowing she is in such very good hands. Hats off and huge thanks to everyone single one of you working in this, fairly challenging at times, environment. What a great team.
Having unsuccessfully tried to find a care home for a month for respite for mum, we were delighted when Littleton Lodge said they could take her. We were apprehensive but Mum had the best time with you. She enjoyed joining in the activities. The food was excellent, and the staff were all so lovely. Everyone took the time to speak to us and Mum. We had total peace of mind that mum was well cared for 24/7 whilst we were away. Thank you so much to everyone who looked after her, you are all amazing.
The staff are excellent. Soo good and helpful. The facilities are great. Sometimes seem short-staffed which made food service late, etc.
On arrival for respite we were treated well and a very lovely senior carer explained everything and settled us in. I cannot review the care of my mom as she has dementia and limited recall. However, when we were leaving no one spoke to me about Mom's stay, just handed over her tablets and left me to pack and leave. That would have been nice at the very least but clearly, no one gave that a thought. I now have no idea how my mom has been for the past 2 weeks, not the lasting impression that you would want as may have used the home again.
I was visiting a long-term friend's mum as they were away on holiday. I was greeted at the door by the deputy manager who showed me where to go, she was really helpful. I also spoke to another girl, once again just wonderful. The building is exceptional, I was totally overwhelmed, so relaxing and the main thing is my wonderful friend was relaxed, happy and said she loved it there, especially since she was near a window.
Mom has been with Littleton Lodge for just over a year now. The service she has received has been excellent. The home itself is beautiful with lovely rooms and good facilities. The team of carers are such amazing people and I couldn't recommend Littleton Lodge enough.
The staff are always friendly, the home is always clean and inviting. Service users are always clean and tidy. The staff are always on hand to help, nothing is any trouble for them.
The staff and managers at Littleton are really, really caring and helpful. It genuinely is comforting to know they are looking out for the best interests of our mother. The food also needs a mention - excellent and varied and great quality. Our mother has been at Littleton for over a year now and really enjoys the atmosphere and interacting with the staff. Activities are organised and residents can be involved or not, depending on their interest in what is happening.
My aunty is currently in Littleton Lodge due to medical needs and has been here for 9 months. We were advised by her consultant that there would be a time when she would need hospice care but at no time has it ever crossed my mind to move her from here as she is getting the best care that anyone could wish for in these difficult times. Her every wish has always been granted at meal times as she is very fussy with her food and the staff go to extremes to make sure she has something that she likes. She can sometimes be slightly demanding but the staff love her to the full. Thank you.
My nan absolutely loves it! She tells us how safe she feels, how lovely the staff are and how she has such a good laugh there and it makes me feel so much better knowing how well she settled in thanks to everyone there.
Staff very polite and helpful. Carers the best we've dealt with.
I'm very happy with the treatment I get from the care home and its staff, it's a pity that contract staff are needed to make up the numbers, as they don't have the knowledge of the residents that the paid staff has. Overall it's good to see fellow residents enjoying the experience. The care home provides a great many activities available to residents and I get involved in some of them and including trips out.
Always made welcome, really friendly staff. Pleasant atmosphere.
At first, when my mom went to Littleton Lodge she was very apprehensive and quiet which is understandable, that is until the activities coordinator broke down the barriers and has now got my mom fully incorporated into the daily activities. The staff have been and are wonderful and nothing is ever too much trouble for them! My mom has settled in really well and I can't fault the care, the friends she has made and the food they are served is nutritious and tasty. It is very much a community within Littleton Lodge!
From the moment I came to view, to mum's admission and care I cannot fault the attention and support received by Mum, our family and her friends. At Littleton Lodge you get a smile at the door, a listening ear and the care and love of a huge new family. Any concerns raised are dealt with and I can always find an understanding ear. Mum is encouraged, she is now walking, eating, drinking and socialising and it's down to the staff. The dementia journey is hard, but with the support we receive is made easier.
My mother has been resident now for 2 months. The staff are wonderful in the care they provide for her and also liaise with myself and the family when we visit. She is very happy and settled and we have peace of mind with this knowledge. I would strongly recommend Littleton Lodge to anyone looking for a care home for their loved ones.
Lovely care home. Staff are very good and attentive and good with the needs of my mom who suffers from Alzheimer’s. Can’t imagine her anywhere else now; she seems settled at Littleton Lodge. All the team have been lovely and welcoming each and every time we visit. Can highly recommend.
It is never easy to make the decision of moving into a care home. But I'm so glad we found Littleton Lodge. The home is beautiful and immaculate. There are always events taking place which are very enjoyable and fun. Every single member of staff goes above and beyond, so friendly and kind, which also extends to family and friends visiting. There can sometimes be ups and downs but there is never a problem for long as they are addressed immediately and resolved as soon as possible. I can’t thank everyone enough for the care and love they show my grandad. It is such a comfort to know he is safe, looked after and most of all loved. Thanks to everyone at Littleton Lodge.
I am very pleased with Littleton Lodge Care Home. My dad’s room is light and airy, with his own wet room, he has a shower every day. For breakfast, my dad normally orders egg and bacon, there are always several options for lunch, and a three-course evening meal. Last week he had soup, roast lamb dinner, trifle and a glass of wine! He does not have to worry about heating costs or anything. When he goes to the hospital a carer goes with him. Dad’s clothes are washed and put away for him, and the whole place is clean, with nice wide corridors, all painted and well-maintained. Dad has been on several day trips, his favourite is the garden centre. But this week (the men) voted to go to the pub for lunch. Littleton Lodge’s greatest assets are the permanent staff, who treat the residents with care, dignity and patience. So a big thank you to you. The bottom line is my dad cannot look after himself, and Littleton Lodge has taken all the worry and pressure off me.
