View Full Details of Angel Mount Care HomeMy father suffers from Alzheimer's and Epilepsy and came to Angel Mount following one of the multiple hospitalisations during the previous 12 months in another residential care home. He has now been at Angel Mount for 12 months and has not been hospitalised once. The high staffing level at Angel Mount means residents are constantly monitored, even if, like my father, they prefer to walk than to sit still. He is never alone and is treated with compassion and respect. The staff get to know all the residents and what they enjoy, and try to support them in accessing these things - my father is given balls, the cricket is put on an interactive tablet for him, etc. He is settled and seems content, and as a family that gives us peace of mind. Very happy with the care provided by Angel Mount.
Exemplary care and concern for the residents of the care home. Staff were always welcoming, and showed genuine fondness and interest in the residents and visitors. Well appointed with kit and facilities - which the staff knew how to use. The staff were very cohesive and worked well together. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Great personalisation of the rooms, along with decor in the common areas. The security was good too, staff always alert and where possible engaged with the residents in gentle activities. The menu was wholesome and varied. The sense of relief and reassurance knowing that my pa was there in great hands was incredible. A great facility, manned by some of the most caring people I've known
Would class this care home as outstanding, the carers are absolutely brilliant with the service users, always doing lots of activities with them and the care they give is amazing, would recommend this care home to anybody looking for one.
The staff at Angel Mount have accepted my mother and her challenging behaviour with nothing but kindness. They are professional and caring and the whole ethos of the home is resident-centred. I am happy that my mother is well cared for and safe in a lovely environment.
My father who has Alzheimer’s had to go into a care home due to his needs getting worse with the disease. And he ended up in two care homes in Preston where we live but the homes could not give him the care and attention he needed so we made the decision to move him to Angel Mount care home in Accrington and I can honestly say that this was the best decision we have made! All the staff are caring and show lots of affection for all the residents and are a credit to the company. If anyone is considering this home I would highly recommend this place. To top it off last week they hired in a professional artist to do a full custom wall mural of my dad playing football when he was younger. Words cannot describe how good this looks and the fact they did this off their own back shows how much they care for their residents.
Words cannot express how much all the staff and management of Angel Mount Care Home have transformed Dad's life - and then by extension, ours. Dad had been in 2 different hospital settings and then transferred (too early) to a completely disinterested care home. Apparently, he was displaying violent behaviour so was thrown out of the care home allocated. I do question this violent behaviour as Dad is so not a violent man. However, what a brilliant home Angel Mount has proven to be. Dad was 80 on the day he was transferred. He (and we!) were greeted with birthday balloons and bunting, birthday cake (with candle) and loads of treats. The staff put on a buffet lunch for 8 of us as Dad's family - offered instantly! Right from arriving on the doorstep (earlier than advised by the previous care home!) Dad was made to feel so special and it was so heart warming to know that the staff genuinely care. Subsequent daily visits only reinforce our experience - what a wonderful team!
I’m so happy that I know my mum is being cared for by a very dedicated team, she has a very special bond with a young lady carer, who she now calls Rose (not her real name) but it’s real to mum. My mum has very complex issues and the Management and Staff are trying their hardest to make sure mum gets the right care and attention and her needs are being taken care of, they can’t do enough for her. The care home is always clean and tidy and mum is always looking smart. So far so good.
When Mum arrived at Angel Mount, she was in a very sorry state. The staff have had a lot to deal with as Mum's mood swings can be very trying. All staff have been wonderful with her, and she has begun to trust and love them as part of her new family.
Excellent staff, always on hand to help. I feel my mu is safe and looked after really well.
When I came to view Angel Mount, I was greeted with a warm smile and a welcoming reception, I was shown around and even got to choose my sister's room, nothing was too much trouble. My sister went into hospital before moving into Angel Mount, when I went to check her room, the staff had arranged it as we asked and put all her photos on the wall. I was and am impressed by the little touches and how much all staff go out of their way to make not just my sister's life easier but family's as well.
My husband has settled in well. He was quite restless initially and would get very frustrated, the staff dealt with this in a calm, caring manner, treating him with respect and dignity. He I still finding his feet but enjoys joining in with any activities, particularly the dancing. He appreciates the food and always enjoys his meals.
Resident on four-week placement being looked after very well by caring staff. Mum is very difficult due to dementia, but staff always treat her with respect and dignity.
My mother is admitted to Andgel Mount Care Home. She is very happy and she is well looked after.
My husband was accepted by Angel Mount despite his challenging behaviour. The staff are caring and thoughtful and although he has only been there for one week he is happier than I have seen him for a while. They keep him occupied and interested and do their very best to keep on top of his health requirements. I only hope he is accepted at the end of his contracted period.
My dad was placed in this home when he came out of hospital. The family have nothing but praise for the management and staff. The staff seem very experience and treat dad with dignity and care. Dad has settled in well, loves the food and always looks clean and tidy. We know he is being looked after well and this is a great comfort to the family at a very difficult time. We would recommend this home to anyone looking for the best care for their relative.
My father is very happy in Angel Mount, smiles and laughs a lot, very important to family, he is very clean and shaven and eats well. Angel Mount provide all of this to a high standard.
