Moving a parent into residential care comes with a huge responsibility to get the best possible outcome. For us it was not about all the extras Northcare provide, and the facilities are excellent. We simply wanted the most comfortable environment for dad and the best possible care for him. We have not been disappointed. All staff have gone above and beyond to understand dad's personality, meet his care needs, work out his likes and dislikes, and just make him feel as comfortable as possible. Staff always have time to update us on how dad is and their feedback comes with genuine warmth and empathy.

I recently moved my father from a different care home to Northgate Care Home in Stirling, and can not emphasise what an amazing move it has been. All the staff from initial meeting them, reception, manager, care staff, nurses, staff nurse, hospitality have been lovely. There is a real focus on care, dignity, respect and treating the residents as guests. Due to the kindness and care my father transitioned from his old care home to this one with no difficulty and stress free. The actual decor of the home is beautiful and has been cleverly selected, much of it looks like what our loved ones or their parents would have had in their home which gives a sense of familiarity for the residents. Any issues, queries are quickly dealt with or answered. Good communication helps to ensure dad is getting the best care. There is a very good mix of activities on offer and what I like is there is a wide range of physical exercise at different times. Five stars

Very warm and professional welcome. A great treat for me. Only problem is availability and not being able to book respite. A tv in the room would have been appreciated. Buying a tv adds unnecessary cost.

Our friend has been at Northcare for 2 years come October. The home fully meets the needs of our friend with a homely atmosphere and we know she is in safe hands. Communication between the home and ourselves is very good. You are always made welcome starting from the front of the house manger. A consistent high standard is met by the managers, nursing staff, carers, hospitality and house keeping staff. Most of all our friend is happy living there. We have already recommended Northcare residences to other people.

Northcare Stirling has exceeded our expectations. The nursing staff and carers have a consistent high standard in taking the time to know my father. They also have a genuine interest in providing for his needs and make time for conversation and interaction with other residents. Northcare provides a homely atmosphere with lovely food. I know that he is in safe hands and most importantly he is settled and content and I can visit him in a relaxing and calm environment.

My Mother has settled very well in North Care. She has a lovely room and has been very well cared for by staff. My Mothers needs have changed considerably since she moved in and the staff have been excellent in adapting to her situation.

Whata relief to find a care home like Northcare - more like a hotel than a nursing home, with friendly and attentive staff, easy parking and access, brand new and modern facilities, large and spacious rooms and communal spaces, fully flexible approach to person-centred care and making my wife's room as homely as possible, and high quality food and service. Can't fault the Northcare team! Best compliment I can give is that my wife is happy, safe and stable there, and the whole family is delighted with the decision to choose Northcare.

My Aunt moved into Northcare residence in Stirling in March this year . For me and my family it's peace of mind knowing she is well looked after with compassion and respect. My aunt is happy with her room , food and facilities . The building is kept immaculate throughout and is beautifully decorated . There are 'so many different activities for residents to do. The in house services are first class from the management staff , nurses, carers , hospitality and housekeeping . Family are always made welcome when Visiting and can enjoy the Beautiful surroundings of the bistro for coffee and cakes served by the very welcoming hospitality staff. I can't praise Northcare enough and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone thinking of Northcare for a loved one .

After an initial visit, we decided that Mum would have a short respite stay in Northcare Residences. She has now had two visits, each lasting a week. She has only good things to tell us about her stay. I have also been very impressed with the facilities, and the professionalism and kindness of the staff. Mum has particularly enjoyed participating in varied activities and she has been impressed with how welcoming the staff are to all her visitors. We are pleased that we chose to go ahead with a respite stay at Northcare. It has been very straightforward to make all the arrangements from first contact to collecting Mum afterwards.

My mum has been in Northcare Stirling for a few weeks now. She was diagnosed with vascular dementia. The care she has received has been outstanding. I can now relax knowing my mum is receiving the best care possible. The staff are so friendly and the way they treat my mum is first class. Special mention to the managers who made the move so easy. Their attention to detail was excellent. Also the nurses, care staff, and everyone in Wallace Suite in the way they care for my mum and treat her with dignity, my mum has already said they are like her 2nd family. The facilities are tremendous, we regularly go up to the brasserie for afternoon tea as a family. The staff there are brilliant. Rooms are very clean and spacious. There are daily activities, my mum really enjoys the singers. This care home has exceeded all our expectations.

My father moved into Northcare Residences, Stirling following a terminal cancer diagnosis. The management at Northcare moved very quickly so that Dad could spend his final few weeks in a far more pleasant environment than a hospital ward. Northcare is unlike any other nursing care establishment I have ever seen. It fully justifies the word "Residences" in its title. The accommodation in both public areas and bedroom suites is first class. All the staff made Dad and the family feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble, including meeting complex dietary requirements. The quality of nursing care was exceptional in rapidly changing circumstances. It was a great comfort to see the expert palliative care given to Dad and the respect and dignity with which he was afforded at all times. I was also supported and kept informed during my visits and by telephone. I highly recommend Northcare Residences Stirling.

From the first decision to visit, where front of house and the initial move were smooth and swift, to the ongoing exceptional care for us as a family, and for Mum, we are so very pleased we found Northcare in Stirling. Mum has advanced mixed dementia and is in the specialist dementia wing. It makes an enormous difference having a team who "get" dementia. The care the team take of her is very good. The person centred care is excellent. The setting is like a hotel in quality. The brasserie to take Mum up for a coffee/ tea and cake is very useful as Mum feels she has gone out. And she loves the cakes! Mum has been in Northcare for 7 weeks and she has , at last, been putting on a little weight as she is being well looked after. Thanks to the whole team.

Northcare in Stirling is an excellent and modern home. The furnishings and surroundings are of 5 star quality. Staff are excellent and could not be more helpful. They have helped my friend settle in which took a while as he very anxious in leaving his home due to his need for 24 hour nursing care. The staff are very helpful at all times and care for all his needs. Would definitely recommend this care home and all their e collect staff.

Our Mum has been living in Northcare for a year now. After a hard few years it has been transformative for us to know she is safe, and warmly cared for, 24 hours a day. The facilities are obviously amazing but more than that I can't praise the staff enough - their kindness, patience and professionalism has been outstanding from day one, across every team. Our thanks to every single one of the individuals who make our Mum's life as easy, safe and happy as it can be.

We have just placed our mum here. We used this site to help us pick the best care home so wanted to write a review to help others. First of all you have to visit multiple care homes to make a judgement and when you do that you will see that Northcare Residences is head and shoulders above the rest. Care homes are expensive but at least here you can see and feel where the money is being spent. It's very much 5* All inclusive. Everything is to the highest standard from the furnishings and activities on offer to each member of staff. This is reflected in their Care Inspectorate reports too so not just our opinion. The welcome we received from the management, nursing staff, care assistants and hospitality team have been exemplary. They have all been friendly, professional and kind. We dreaded this time in mums dementia journey but that has been completely turned around and we are excited for her to make new friends and have new experiences that will definitely enrich her life. Brilliant x

My friend has had excellent care since moving to Northcare Residences. All the staff have been so kind and friendly. We can now be reassured that our 98 year old friend is cared for and safe and can live out her years in a stimulating environment.

Very welcoming care home, from managers, nurses, care assistants and catering staff everyone has made a positive impression. The facilities and care have been great, and they have been very accommodating of any requests during our settling-in period! Highly recommend.

My mum moved into Northcare 2 months ago and has received excellent care. All the staff without exception have been so kind and helpful. She settled in well and the staff have encouraged her to get involved in all the home has to offer which has really helped with her rehabilitation after a fall. We feel very lucky that this facility was available to her when she needed care and gives all of our family peace of mind that she is being well looked after.

My Mother has settled very well in North Care. She has a lovely room and has been very well cared for by staff. My Mothers needs have changed considerably since she moved in and the staff have been excellent in adapting to her situation.
