Unexpectedly I had to find a forever care home for my Dad, having assessed and reviewed 8 care homes in the local Northamptonshire area, I shortlisted Evergreen. Upon my first unannounced visit, I was delighted to find secure electric gates to enter the property giving me peace of mind that Dad could access the beautiful gardens but would be totally safe. I was welcomed warmly by staff who gave an excellent tour of Evergreen. The home was clean, bright and airy with a traditional, homely feel exactly what the generation of residents needs to make them feel at home in their surroundings. The coloured front doors to bedrooms along with street names were an excellent idea adding again a touch of homeliness. Staff and residents were friendly, relaxed and treated each other with care and respect. The efficiency and help to transition my Dad to his forever home has been exceptional and Dad has settled really well giving me peace of mind that I made the right decision in choosing Evergreen.
Working in the care industry I get the opportunity to visit many care homes and council run schemes so I have a marker to compare against. Not living local I took the opportunity to visit my dad ( my family live close by). I have to say the home was lovely and clean and excellently maintained. The staff were extremely friendly without being over the top. The kitchen appeared to be well stocked and spotlessly clean. My dad appeared to be settled and happy showing me around his new home. I can honestly say that I can return to the south coast knowing dad is in safe capable hands and contactable when I need to contact him.
My mother is a resident here and I can confidently say that the care provided has been exceptional. The caregivers are not only professional but very compassionate. They take the time to engage with the residents ensuring that their emotional and physical needs are met. The home itself is always clean, well maintained and has a warm homely atmosphere. The meals are nutritious and well balanced, the staff go above and beyond to ensure personal preferences are met. Making the decision to move my mother into a home was tough, but Evergreen has given me peace of mind, knowing that she is receiving the care and respect she deserves. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a supportive and well run care home for their loved one.
This is the first time I have used Evergreen Care home for respite for my husband. The staff were very attentive. He sat in the lounge and had his meals with the other residents. The atmosphere was relaxing, calm and homely. He loved the food and especially the homemade cakes. I have worked in the NHS for over 42 years in various areas, hospitals, GP surgery and district nursing. The care and attention that was given to my husband was of a very high quality. Thank you for caring for my husband so well.
We had to jump through a lot of council hoops to get our mum into Evergreen after visiting it back in October There was no other care home we saw on par with here , from the owners all the way through to managers, night and day care staff plus the in house Chef. They really are genuinely lovely, dedicated and caring individuals, making up an amazing team of people to look after our mums needs. With mum being the very first resident since the new owners have taken over and transformed the interior, we were so thankful after being invited to spend Xmas day and dinner, all 12 family members, with our mum in her new forever home. It's very early days for Evergreen but with carefully hand-picked staff over several months, make no mistake once you've visited here for your nearest and dearest big move in life, there really is no comparison anywhere local to Northamptonshire. Thank you all for your support in what was a very scary and important decision for our family.
Absolutely lovely home. My mum lives there. It is very comfortable, she is treated with kindness and respect. She loves the freshly cooked food and the staff are great. The owners and staff really went out of their way to help us all with getting to know mum before she moved, the actual move, and getting mum settled in. Definitely recommend considering this home. They give mum all the assistance, but also all the independence that she needs.
