View Full Details of Highfield Residential HomeMy dad has been living at the home for some time now, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care he receives. It's a genuinely warm and welcoming place, and the staff are consistently kind, attentive, and professional. They go above and beyond-not only meeting his care needs, but making sure he enjoys life. He's even been on holiday with them, which speaks volumes about the personal and thoughtful approach they take. Since moving in, he's happier, healthier, and more at ease. We have real peace of mind knowing he's in such safe and compassionate hands.
Mother-in-law here 3 days, 2 nights and in an absolutely shocking condition. She has Alzheimer's, we explained she would refuse food, medication, and toileting, but when prompted she will have it, she was walking around. 2nd day, not dressed, soiled. Refused food, drink and meds so I washed, dressed gave food and meds. 3rd evening - had 2 falls, no one phoned or left a message or called other contacts. No senior or manager on site! Bruises everywhere, was soiled, hadn’t eaten or drunk anything, no medication for days as refused - again not informed! hallucinating, reaching things which weren’t there (didn’t do this before). Couldn’t walk without help as unsteady and falling again. The manager didn’t want us to take to the hospital but I explained if I left her she would break something, but didn’t seem concerned. Also didn’t seem concerned by the condition my mother-in-law was in from 3 days here. The hospital has put safeguarding on my mother-in-law and the home is under investigation.
