View Full Details of Acacia Mews Care Home - Avery HealthcareMy father-in-law moved into Acacia Mews a month ago for temporary respite care after his hip operation. From the first moment he moved in he was made to feel welcome and nothing seemed to much trouble for the team. The individual bedroom is perfect for him, it's well equipped and immaculate! Better than some hotels i have stayed in! Infact the whole home is very well presented. Every day there are activities and events on going within the home, so he is never bored. The meals are well planned and he has plenty of choices to choose what he wants, which means he is eating far better than he was at home. And finally and most importantly the staff. They are absolutely brilliant, he has had a few health issues during his settling in period but they have taken everything in their stride. They are attentive, have patients of a saint and incredibly knowledgeable. All the family hope he extends his stay because he has such a good lifestyle here.
My aunt has settled in beautifully. It's like she has lived here forever. This is thanks to the caring & warm staff who helped her to learn her new home. Thank you!
I'm very impressed with the standard of care I was given and feel that the time I spent here has helped towards recovering from my time in hospital. The staff are patient and kind and can't do enough to help.
My mother came to stay at Acacia Mews for a 2 week respite stay after admission to hospital. The staff at Acacia were all very friendly, knowledgable and efficient. Her transfer from hospital and got her settled in very well. They are all very caring. The home is warm, clean and comfortable and is well appointed. I felt very reassured knowing she was here. I would recommend Acacia Mews to others.
Staff are friendly, good facilities, lots of activities that residents are able to join in. The rooms are spacious and the home is homely and welcoming. Staff are kind and caring and take care of the patients, both physically and mentally through good sense of humours and general chit chat to ensure patients are happy. Food is great, especially cake!

My brother was admitted to Acacia Mews Care Home, Hatfield, in August 2024. His parkinsons disease was acute at this stage, no longer noble. He died in the home on 26.01.2025. The care latterly was excellent! He required nursing/hospice level attention, which he received. He died comfortably and in no pain. Such a relief to know that so well managed by the home.
