View Full Details of MeadowcroftMeadowcroft is a really lovely home to all the residents. My mother was wary of moving into a rest home permanently, undertstandably as she has alway been very independant. The Manager was and is very supportive of all the family . Mum had three respite stays and enjoyed each stay, and then the time came when she felt she could no longer be independant and was becoming lonely. She made the decision to move in permanently and is very happy. The staff are all very efficient and kind. There is always a happy atmosphere when I visit Mum. It is very clean, the food is good and the gardens are beautiful. There are lots of activities and entertainment, if you want to participate. All the family are very pleased and happy that Mum has now moved into Meadowcroft, and we all enjoy visiting her.
Grandma is happy, healthy and well cared for. It's so nice to see her socialising with the other residents and staff. There is always something going on at the home to keep residents occupied and all the staff are very welcoming.
I am really happy with the care that my mother receives from the staff. There is always someone there to help if there is a problem. It's nice to know that she's safe and that we don't have to worry
My Mother came to Meadowcroft in difficult circumstances, as my father had passed away, and she was unable to live independently. Prior to her going there sisters and I looked around the different care homes in Shoreham By Sea and Meadowcroft shone out as a nice, friendly place where my mother would feel comfortable and be safe. In making the transition to staying there, the staff were very helpful and friendly, making her feel welcome and part of the care home family. Mum moved there in April 2025 and has settled in nicely now. Mum has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and has short term memory problems. The staff at Meadowcroft are well aware of this and are able to assist with her needs. Before moving there she sometimes would not get dressed or washed, now though she has got into a nice routine takes a certain pride in her appearance, which I think is indicative of how well she has adjusted to living there.
Very friendly and approachable staff and very attentive. Nothing is too much trouble for them if my grandmother would like or needs something. I feel she is safe and being very well cared for here. They are very friendly, caring and competent staff. There is wide range of options for meals available. The building is kept very well, clean and smelling great; plus the upkeep of the beautiful gardens surrounding the home too. I feel very comforted that my grandmother is very safe and being very well looked after there.
My wife attends to her mother who is resident at your home. We have been very happy with the level of care and services provided. Your staff's attention has made a very difficult situation (which we dreaded) much easier and overall liveable. Please accept our thanks and also pass on to all your staff. We have no difficulty in recommending your care home and the facilities provided. Thank you
I find the care home to be very clean, welcoming and friendly. My grandma has settled well and seems to enjoy the surroundings and the activities on offer there. She seems comfortable and happy. I would recommend this care home.
Mum has been living at Meadowcroft for just over a year and it really is a home from home for her. She is settled and happy and it is clear that the staff team work hard to ensure all of her needs are met. The atmosphere is always welcoming and warm when we visit and mum enjoys spending time with the friends she has made since moving in.
I first visited Meadowcroft in the summer of 2024 and immediately felt it was the perfect place for my mum to move to once she was no longer able to stay at home independently. It's so friendly and homely, the staff are all really kind and thoughtful and it is managed really well. The rooms are characterful, spacious and bright. One of the most important things to me was to find a care home for mum which genuinely had a lot of activities going on for the residents, as I knew mum would not settle well otherwise. Each Sunday a new activities timetable for the week is delivered to the residents rooms so that they can choose what they would like to join in with during the week ahead. Singing sessions, exercise classes, visits from the children from the nursery next door. And much more. It's such a relief to know my mum is being so well cared for.
I cannot praise enough the management and staff at Meadowcroft. They always make us feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. They treat mum like she is one of the family. They have been so supportive and listened to the needs for my mum. The home is always clean and the atmosphere is always cheerful.
Located in an old house Meadowcroft has a homely atmosphere. Its kind and attentive staff are always ready, and have time, to assist. Home and/or hospital visits are arranged and managed for the residents as required. Visits by the local school, singers, a local dog, hairdresser, podiatrist & others along with a varied selection of activities keep everyone occupied. With friends & family encouraged to visit whenever they are able it seems more like a large family home than a residential care establishment.
Lovely team looking after the residents, organised & kind. Residents always look like they are well cared for & treated with dignity. Smells & looks clean. Outings arranged for able bodied residents & visits from local schools. Arts & crafts, baking. Visits from hairdressers & chiropodist at additional cost. Small group of residents, staff busy but not stretched between too many residents like some places & it really shows.
I love Meadowcroft, my beautiful ma died on Tuesday early morning at Meadowcroft, after the best 19 months there. I already thought they were wonderful, however the love and support all staff at Meadowcroft have shown me since Tuesday is even more wonderful. Thank you so much, with all my heart I love you all. I would absolutely recommend this beautiful vibrant and exceptionally kind home. My mother, as you well know loved you all too. There is not another place like it. I loved coming every day and will so miss you all.
Very friendly caring staff who seem dedicated to looking after mum. Comfortable well appointed bedroom and nice communal areas and garden. Very good home cooked food. Mum seems very happy living there.
Excellent all round care. Very flexible and accommodating in meeting requests to help our resident get ready for outings etc at various times. Proactive in making ongoing enhancements to increase activities and facilities for residents and also to make things easier practically for relatives (eg new onsite storage for wheelchairs and walking aids, garden development ) Very approachable management , open to suggestions and quick to respond. Good at informing us promptly about any issues and feeding back concerning our resident's wellbeing All staff friendly and helpful when we call to make arrangements or just check how things are. They clearly have a good understanding of our resident's character and needs and actively work to assist them and encourage them to take part in activities.
Early days yet but my brother-in-law was admitted after a short stay in hospital and for a temporary stay which could become permanent. The process of viewing the home and deciding on his admission was friendly and easy. On admission, the staff were welcoming and accommodating. The manager was flexible and helpful in discussing his needs.
Meadowcroft really is a wonderful home! We love the fact that it feels like an actual home rather than a generic care facility. The staff are so friendly and caring and have been really flexible with any arrangements that we need to make for Mum to ensure she feels comfortable. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they have been really supportive to us as a family.
A care home can never replace anybody's forever home, but Meadowcroft, staff, management carers etc. provide a class alternative, short-term or long, for those requiring an alternative to their home. The building is impressive, located in a lovely part of Shoreham, and its interior doesn't disappoint! Rooms are light bright airy and inviting, mirroring the atmosphere within and its residents that earn a similarly glowing description. We were unsure about placing our elderly mum into a home, whether for respite or for longer. But worries were soon dispelled as we arrived for an assessment visit and were totally alleviated after Mum was accepted into the home, settling in perfectly thanks to her staff, and the general openness of the residents. The rooms are fine rooms and the food good! There are also many activities, which one may or may not wish to join in. A wonderful place! They have helped us in making decisions, and have been brilliant for our trying, but wonderful mum.
Management and all the staff do an amazing job at Meadowcroft. The care home is accessible to visitors at all times which works well. Mum is very happy and secure in the knowledge that she is in very good and safe hands.
At Meadowcroft Care Home the care is exemplary. Each resident is valued and everyone's individual needs are met by the amazingly caring staff members. There are plenty of fun activities for residents to take part in.
