View Full Details of Home Park Nursing HomeMy late father spent four very happy years at Home Park, and the staff could not have done more for him. Home Park was unknown to us (five miles away, different local authority) but Covid meant no choice. However looking back on Dad's time at Home Park it was so the right decision. It quickly became his safe place and his bonus family cared for him in a way that we couldn't do at home. Dad was definitely safe and well looked after. He was known for his cheeky grin and for getting up to mischief! All dealt with superbly well (and sometimes encouraged) by the staff and we have some great memories in the photos, particularly of activities and events enjoyed. It was also really nice for us to be included in home life and my mother and I were always warmly welcomed when we visited. I would definitely recommend Home Park as a warm welcoming family environment where everyone is well looked after and it is certainly a home to consider. Thank you for the happy memories.
Overall experience since my mother has been in the home is good. With excellent care staff and a peaceful setting. My only concerns are a call (personal) button and a TV remote, so she can enjoy TV as and when she wants to. Neither of those she has. Also, feel her room could be redecorated, as lots of paint/scrapes are missing on the walls. It would be good to have a quarterly update on my mothers well being.
Mum has been a resident in Home Park for over one year now. We visit twice weekly and have always found all the staff/management to be friendly and cannot do enough for visitors and residents alike. Staff are always cheerful and motivated to mum, and her care is always good. Keep up the good work!
It's not the best or worst home my mum has been in Home Park for 3 years. The staff are very caring, but not enough of them. Sometimes when you go in, Mum's hearing aid has no batteries in, and they can't find her glasses. Her care most of the time is satisfactory.
Mum has been at Home Park for two years and this assessment covers the whole period not just August, 2025. The staff/carers are lovely, caring, considerate, kind, thoughtful with a lovely sense of humour. The rooms are always clean and fresh smelling. There is plenty of varied entertainment. Overall I could not be happier with the care Mum receives.
My mum has been at Home Park nursing home for almost two years now. She recieves the best care that can be given to someone bed bound with Dementia. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, in sometimes very upsetting situations. I would recommend this home to anyone.
My 95 year old mother has been a resident for over 2 years and is better now than when she arrived. She is well looked after, her physical and medical needs are well met. The staff are very caring in some difficult circumstances. The management are kind, helpful and well informed. I feel happy to leave my mum in their care as I know that any problems are quickly noted and swiftly treated, informing the local GP when necessary. My mum is very content to live at Home Park.
I've been very impressed with the care my mum has received during her 2.5 years at Home Park. The home feels 'homely' and there's a lovely big garden the residents can see and be taken out to on nice days. The staff have always been friendly and helpful and normally there's some activity for residents going on when we've visited in the afternoons. Mum's clothes and room are always clean demonstrating a good level of care. Staff have also been very good at notifying me if mum has been unwell, requires a doctor's visit or needs any change in medication. Most importantly mum is happy at the home.
Impressive levels of care to people the staff seem genuinely invested in. A large amount of extra mile activity happens which as a person with a lot of care home experience is deeply appreciated when caring for a personal relative.
What can I say Mother has been with you for a year now 1.. in that time there has been no change of staff which is so important for the care of the elderly.. all the residents are well cared for and nothing is too much trouble for the staff that includes ALL of them from nurses carers laundry cleaners ALL so polite and helpful.. my sister and I visit mother alternate days so see the running of the home on a daily basis we congratulate them all on keeping a routine which is so helpful to the residents.. the quite way in which the staff work is helpful but efficient with residents they really do get the best from them all .. activities play a huge part for all the residents there is always something for all to enjoy I would sincerely say you ALL do an amazing job and as a family we thank you for looking after Mother so well
My Mum was moved to Home Park Nursing Home for palliative care after having had a short illness in December 23. She was in the last stage of her Alzheimer's journey. From the moment my sister and I, visited the home and had an impromptu meeting with staff we were relieved and pleased that Mum was coming to such a well run, supportive and amazing facility. Although my Mum was only at the home for a short period I can't thank the manager and her team enough for the care and support they gave to Mum. They had only just met her but treated her as if they had known her for a long time, got to know about her and were constantly trying ways to make her final days as comfortable as possible. For myself and my siblings we could not be more grateful in what was a very difficult period. Home Park is an amazing facility and although we know Mum was shortly to leave us we were all greatly comforted that she could not have been in a better place. Thank you.
My late father was a resident of this amazingly wonderful nursing home for a good few years. The staff are caring fun and kind not only to the residents but family as well. My father sadly passed away but the care given to both him and myself was second to none. I feel very lucky to have found a nursing home with such high values after having had not such great experiences elsewhere. Thank you all. Cannot praise you highly enough.
Excellent nursing home, very passionate and caring staff to both residents and families when visiting. Always clean, excellent food and care.
My husband is always treated with dignity and respect.
Considering the extra pressure due to the Covid 19 virus, I feel that the staff at Home Park have coped exceptionally well and continued their kind support of my mother. I'm sure that she is as well looked after during this time as she has been since her arrival at Home Park several years ago. They've always treated her with dignity and care.
My mother moved to Home Park from a nursing home in the area. From the start, I found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and caring. My mother has dementia and is also bed-bound. The staff meet all of her needs, and someone is often popping in to talk to her and give her any assistance that she needs. As she is bed-bound, this is very important to her and the family.
I can speak extremely highly of this home. The whole staff are very friendly and extremely kind and caring to the residents. Nothing is too much trouble for them. My husband has Parkinson's Disease and Dementia and has been quite a trial for them, but they have cared for him in an extremely exemplary way.
Home Park is a great provider of nursing care. It is very clean and staff friendly. All the residents' individual needs are catered for to a high standard. The home and its setting is also kept very well. The food is excellent. My mum is very happy with her care.
My mother has bee at home Park since December 2017. During that time I have found the staff to be friendly, professional and very caring. This includes kitchen staff, office, nurses and carers (day and night) and the maintenance person and gardeners. Residents are treated with dignity. Their food is planned according to diet and their health requirements. There are regular activities including singers each month and a theatre company who do a pantomime and musical each year. The rooms are very clean and clothes laundered and care in dressing is noticeable. Regular visits by hairdresser and chiropodists too.
I am very pleased with the service provided and overall care for my husband.
