I have been visiting my friend on a regular basis after she moved into Rockdale, the home is fabulous and she is very happy, moving from your own home is a hard transition and the team have made this a smooth and enjoyable process for her I highly recommend this home.

Atmosphere and positivity has improved immensely since late December 2024. The new manager seems very pleasant and is clearly full of ideas. Hopefully, Rockdale is back to the good old days! The only downside is the parking but I understand that is being addressed.

We can't thank the team at Rockdale enough for the incredible care and kindness they showed my aunt during her recent stay. From the moment she arrived, the staff made her feel welcome, supported, and genuinely cared for. After her respite stay, she returned home looking and feeling like a completely new person - truly 10 years younger! It's a testament to the exceptional environment, the attention to detail, and the warmth of everyone who works there. The staff went above and beyond every single day, not just meeting her needs but making her feel part of a real community. The quality of care, the uplifting atmosphere, and the genuine compassion shown have made such a positive impact on her wellbeing. We are incredibly grateful to Rockdale for giving her the time, care, and encouragement she needed. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding respite care.

My family and I thought the loving care given to my husband was excellent. The staff were all kind, loving and efficient not only to my husband, but to all the visiting family. Nothing was too much trouble. Care staff, cleaners, laundry people and management all deserve our grateful thanks.

I came to visit my sister and I am very happy with the support she is receiving from all. The staff helped when I went to leave I found I had lost my purse, and without the help of the senior support worker, I would not have coped with the phone call to cancel my phone card as I am very deaf. Thank you to two members of staff in particular who went beyond their duty and helped me no end. Well done Rockdale!

I visited my friend today about ten days after his admission to Rockdale House. I arrived unannounced and the reception were friendly and helpful. I was shown to my friend's room and I was impressed with the atmosphere and environment of the home. My friend said he was well settled in his new home. He praised the home's catering and the care given to him by the staff. I left the home feeling reassured that my friend is in good hands!

My relation has been a resident in Rockdale House for nearly two years. The care is excellent and nothing seems too much trouble. Recently she fell and broke her elbow so she has required more personal care which has been provided by all the members of staff so willingly.

Following a sudden but very debilitating illness, we moved my frail elderly aunt into Rockdale House, initially for respite care but became a permanent stay. The staff could not have been kinder or more caring towards her, they were so attentive, monitoring and encourging her to become well. Sadly this was not to be and their support became end-of-life care. Throughout the staff were wonderful, not just to my aunt, but to myself and my family too. We couldn't have wished for a better place for her to be.

Nan is always very well looked after. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. Rooms and corridors are always clean and tidy.

My mother has been very well looked after and has always felt welcomed. She really loves the food and enjoys the games played and doing the crafts.

Rockdale House is a warm and friendly place. My dad has been there for nearly two and a half years and is very happy. He is benefitting from the varied, freshly cooked meals and numerous cakes, biscuits and cups of tea, coffee etc. throughout each day. He is kept busy with exercises, activities, entertainment and outings offered. His room is spacious, clean and comfortable and the decor, generally, is fresh and homely. Staff are kind, friendly and supportive.

Rockdale House Care Home is a very caring and well-managed cared home. Everywhere is kept very clean. Staff are dedicated and welcoming and friendly always. The weekly quiz was a favourite for Mum, as were the poetry and music events. There are many activities, including a gardening club. The terrace on level one was a lovely place for visits. Many happy times there. Many thanks to all at Rockdale.

A pleasant atmosphere and staff are very helpful.

Mum is 101. She found the concept of a care home difficult. She could no longer manage in her bungalow and had been to hospital after a fall. She took persuading but even after two months of visits (I live over 200 miles away) her face has filled out, her hair is managed and well cared for, her legs are being looked after and her mind is mostly occupied with what's going on. She part of the community. Well done!

The staff are warm and friendly. They let me know when mum needs anything or has taken a tumble. The senior nursing staff always discuss health care issues promptly and don't mind if I bring something to their attention. Everyone is so kind even the reception and administrative staff. Mum says she feels safe and secure. Thank you for all those 'cups of tea' that you bring her.

Although my sister is new to Rockdale House the first few weeks have been so good. Staff have made her very welcome and already her health has improved. She is also much happier.

We cannot say enough about the exceptional care and kindness that our family has received from everyone at Rockdale House while our aunt has been recovering in respite care, despite the added complexities of Covid-19. We have seen the steady improvement in our aunt’s health and well being, and we are so grateful for the sensitivity to her individual needs and for the warmth and expertise of everyone at Rockdale House. Thank you all so much for your patience and compassion. You have been a Godsend to us.

Our aunt requested to be discharged from hospital to Rockdale House while she recovered and decided what to do next following her health issue. My sister and I flew over from our homes in Canada to support our aunt as soon as she was hospitalized. I’m so thankful for the excellent care, support and advice that our aunt received at Rockdale House. All the staff there were amazing starting with the manager who on our aunt's arrival immediately assessed her situation, made great decisions taking into account our family situation, referred our aunt to other excellent medical professionals and became an invaluable resource for us all. The girls on reception were fantastic always welcoming, patient and safely facilitating our visits. All the care staff we encountered were wonderful and not only made us feel that our aunt was in very capable hands but that she was one of their favourite residents!
