View Full Details of Barchester Oxford Beaumont Care CommunityMy Dad's health deteriorated to the point that he needed daily care and support and so he checked in to the Oxford Beaumont for 2 weeks respite care. He settled in really quickly and decided to stay. The Beaumont provides an excellent environment. The residents are facilitated to make their own choices and supported to live their own lives. Dad has a comfortable room. The carers are considerate, supportive and compassionate and look after him well. After starting to get lonely after his mobility reach the stage where he couldn't leave his house, moving to the Beaumont has given him the chance to make new friends and get involved in the many daily activities. He is comfortable, well cared for and content.
Wonderful home, staff all friendly and approachable. Plenty of activities. Mum had covering of family for her 84th birthday. This was catered for by the Beaumont food drinks and a wonderful birthday cake. Mum was very happy. I would highly recommend.
My father initially stayed at the Barchester for a short period of respite after having had two falls at home in January. I visited the Barchester only days before my father needed to be admitted for care and I knew immediately it was the right place for him to be! The acting manager was so professional and very thorough in explaining all I needed to know about my father's stay. Respite care progressed into a permanent stay for him and he is still there, very happy and well cared for. All of the staff are absolutely amazing and the feel of the home is so friendly and inviting. The staff are always happy in their work and treat everyone with dignity and respect. There are always lots of activities on offer and my father is never in his room during the day, he enjoys trips out and spending time in the garden. The food is hotel standard and guests are always offered tea and biscuits. Staff go above and beyond their duties and I feel so reassured he has the professional care he deserves
Mum has stayed at the Beaumont on a few occasions now for respite we are always welcomed like family, she is well cared for and all the staff are really friendly which means I can go away knowing she is in the best hands Thank you
The Oxford Beaumont has a lovely homely feel as soon as you enter the home and all the residents are well cared for. All the staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The Oxford Beaumont is clean and tidy, the gardens are very pleasant to walk around with plenty of seating for residents and visitors so everyone can relax and enjoy the gardens.
The clean well decorated and nicely furnished rooms and communal areas are very nice. All staff have been very friendly, welcoming and have worked hard to assist my gramp with his specific needs. The activity schedule is varied and looks great fun! The manager ensures she allows time to speak with the residents and make them feel at home. I am also always made to feel very welcome as a visitor.
I stayed at The Barchester for four weeks respite following a hip operation. I was in a lot of pain when I arrived and quite scared of the whole situation, but the staff were very caring and kind. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I soon settled in. I particularly liked how the nurses have close communication with the local GP in the area and any medical problems can be dealt with very quickly The facilities are very good and there is entertainment provided during the day if you wish to partake. It is set in nice gardens and you can have coffee outside or have a walk if the weather is good. The room was nice and I had my own television. I altogether had a positive experience there, and the staff helped me to recover more of my mobility. I would highly recommend
I've been delighted from the beginning last April. This is real home from home. All the staff are respectful + hardworking and kind. Staff at all levels seem to do their best. The home has real character which I love. It is buzzing with activity which I like to join in with when I am well.
My mum and family were welcomed here and made to feel very comfortable from day 1. Everybody is so friendly and can't do enough for you. Lovely food, lovely people and lovely surroundings. All staff are so caring. My son got married in summer 2023 and the care home staff arranged to assist and get my mum to the event as a surprise for my son. He cried when he saw his nan as he didn't think she would be there!!!
I consider my wife's care is the best I can get for her. The staff are happy and caring, the rooms are adequate and clean, the chef is fantastic and the new manager is perfectly fit for the job. Thank you Barchester. I sleep very well at night.
I think that this is one of the best care homes I have been in the care that my mother-in-law gets is outstanding as is everything else about it.
The Barchester Oxford Beaumont Care Community took care of both of my parents, including end-of-life care. All of the staff ended up being an extended family to us, providing exceptional care throughout three years of my parents being in the home. From cleaning staff to carers, to nurses, to admin staff, to cooks, to activity staff, all went over and above to make my parents as comfortable and happy as possible in their final years. Both suffered from dementia and therefore, their care was challenging at times but the team always worked with the family, listening to our wishes and ensuring safety and dignity at all times were provided. Both my mother and father had carers and nurse who should get special mentions for their consistency of such a high standard of care throughout. We had confidence that when we weren't at the home, we could still rely on the staff to maintain their consistent standards. We would recommend this home in all areas and have reflected this in our ratings.
Both my mum and dad have been cared for at the Barchester Oxford Beaumont Care Community in the last three years. From day one, we have been made welcome. The care my parents received was amazing, every member of staff was caring, attentive, loving and friendly. The home is kept spotlessly clean and the food is excellent, with a good choice each day. They both loved the daily activities and were always encouraged to join in, if we were visiting we also joined in and loved seeing their faces light up as they remembered all the songs and dances, even learning new skills! The end-of-life care they both received was special in every way for them and us. We would thoroughly recommend the Beaumont to everyone.
My experience at the Barchester Oxford Beaumont Care Community was so very welcoming, everyone there makes you feel at home. Such a lovely place. All the staff and management do a brilliant job looking after all residents there. I would recommend the Beaumont to close friends and family.
You all look after my mum brilliantly. She is so much better than when she arrived, despite relying on the health service less. Your constant care and attention is making all the difference - from front of house to her care givers and all those who we haven't met. The food is wonderful and everything is spotless. But most of all, everyone's love and care shines through.
My mother received first-class wonderful care. All the staff are kind caring and do everything they can to make life happy for residents. I cannot recommend the Beaumont highly enough. She really enjoyed in particular the daily activities which were varied. It really was a home-from-home experience for her and we are truly grateful for the care afforded to her.
My wife has been a resident of this excellent care home for 18 months. This is an award-winning home surrounded by beautiful gardens in the heart of Boars Hill close to Oxford. Here is a well-structured, well-run and refreshing management system creating an efficient and happy environment where staff and residents work and live in a family-type atmosphere. First impressions are so important, and the reception area and reception staff do not disappoint, they are so welcoming and willing to help. The nurses are caring and are always available for advice if required. Meals are served in a nice dining room and the food is varied with a good choice of excellent food. The care home is always clean, and the rooms are kept tidy, and clothing is washed regularly. A hugely successful element of the Beaumont is the proactive activities department. There is always something going on and there are regular visits from a variety of entertainers. Trips in the minibus are frequently arranged to take residents to local places of interest. Possibly the most important element of any care home are the carers, those unheralded people who go about their daily work often unnoticed. Here at the Beaumont are the very best of carers, excellent carers where nothing is too much trouble and where there is an obvious bond between them and the residents. Sometimes a very difficult and demanding job but where, at the Beaumont, they go about their work quietly and give superb care and dignity to those they look after. I am grateful to the Beaumont for the care given to my wife.
Everything and everyone, excellent!
I think the care home is excellent in every way, all the staff are so helpful and polite. The care side is amazing, I feel my nan is being looked after at such a high standard. Area is lovely, food is always really good. So many different activities to get involved in which is amazing. Would highly recommend. The best place my nan could be.
Cannot rate this care community highly enough. The care my grandmother received during her time there was second to none. Such kindly, friendly, compassionate staff who can't do enough for residents and their families, especially during difficult times. The care my grandmother received at the end of her life was especially phenomenal and the staff made sure she was always comfortable and dignified. They also couldn't do enough for us, as a family, as we spent those last precious days with her in the comfort of her lovely room. My grandfather is now a resident here too and is also receiving the very best care possible. We've actually seen a marked improvement in his dementia in just a few months, which is testament to the care he receives. He especially loves all the music-related activities, the wonderful food and sitting in the reception area, watching all the comings and goings! Our family can't thank the team at Barchester Oxford Beaumont Care Community enough! Would not hesitate to recommend.
