View Full Details of Elizabeth Court Rest HomeALL the staff are amazing! Our mum had her first respite care in Elizabeth Court, we were very anxious as this was going to be the first time that we left mum. On meeting the manager he was very reassuring and answered all our questions...and we asked a lot. :-) Our mum was supposed to be in respite for 2 weeks but my dad became poorly while we were away and so we asked the manager if it was possible to have mum a while longer until my dad was better. This was agreed so mum stayed there for 4 weeks in total. Our mum was well looked after and we know this will be the place if and when we need to do it again, whether short term or longer. Our mum also liked the fact that they had two resident dogs, as she has two of her own.
My father has been a resident at Elizabeth Court Rest Home for the last few years. As his daughter I have been extremely happy with the care he has received. Since moving to the care home I can tell my dad is happy, feels safe and feels cared for. I live abroad but have visited the home several times to see my dad and have found the home a clean, warm, welcoming and secure environment. The home does not have set visiting times, I was able to visit at anytime. The staff at this facility ensure it feels homey. Residents are able to keep their animals, you walk in and see a couple of dogs, cats and even chickens in the garden. There are many activities offered, weekly arts, crafts and music. Each residents birthday is celebrated with a cake and a song. The staff are amazing, treating everybody with care and compassion. The staff help me stay in touch with my dad utilizing FaceTime. I absolutely recommend this facility.
My husband is a resident of Elizabeth Court. He is 92, has dementia and he is frail. He fell at home twice. He was injured and I can't look after him at home now. The staff in the care home are lovely. This has not been a good year for us but I'm so glad my husband is in this home. Everyone is very caring. It's not good that your relatives are in a care home but I am so grateful that he is in Elizabeth Court. I can feel relaxed now because he needs more than just me at home.
We wish to express our thanks and appreciation to you and all the staff at Elizabeth Court for the care and kindness and responsibility that you have all shown towards our loved one and to us, her family. We have to express our admiration for the way that Elizabeth Court’s staff and management have supported, cared for, protected and embraced their residents, keeping them safe and clear through the darkness of the pandemic. We wish to express appreciation for your professionalism and hard work in interpreting and applying the various rules and regulations at the same time as working hard to find ways for friends and families to remain in communication with their loved ones. This has not been easy and has required a lot of understanding. Thank you for your communications which have certainly helped in understanding what and why things have to happen. She has always been so well cared for in all the years she has been with you. The team at Elizabeth Court have always been friendly and welcoming.
Having sadly lost contact with my aunt prior to her passing, it was a great comfort and relief to speak to the care home manager. He knew my aunt very well and had obviously had a special relationship with her. He talked at length with me about her time here and the lengths he and his colleagues had gone to, to make my aunt’s time here, the best it could possibly be. The way in which he and his colleagues care for and try to cater to their resident’s individual needs became obvious and is admirable. Nothing has been too much trouble, he has been in constant touch with me and played a huge part in arrangements for my aunt’s funeral service. He wrote a wonderful and personalised eulogy for her and he and his colleagues attended the service. It has been a great comfort to know that my aunt could not have been in a better place or more well-cared-for. Thank you to the manager and his colleagues for providing such empathetic and respectful care to those in need of it.
