View Full Details of Fairfield House Residential Care HomeDuring our visit on 6th October to visit my sister Nicola, my partner and I were very pleased with the location of the home, the condition of the premises and surrounding gardens, the views over Lyme Regis and the sea are breathtaking. The rooms and facilities within appear to be in very good condition, and the activities provided to residents are interesting and entertaining. The staff are friendly, helpful and very professional in their duties. We feel fortunate that my sister is cared for in such lovely surroundings, and by such delightful people.
My mum has been in Fairfield Residential Care Home for a year now. The care she has received has been outstanding, I cannot fault anything. The staff are amazing, so friendly and do the very best they can. When mum needed to be in the home it was quite a traumatic time at home for the family, but the management and staff at Fairfield really supported us and the help and care mum received was such a massive relief with everything else going on. Everything is so well organised and the meals mum receives are excellent. I live quite a long way from Lyme Regis but I know mum who has Alzheimer's is being very well looked after and I do not need to worry about her. Whenever I call and visit I feel so welcomed and looked after too. The house and grounds are beautiful and my mum has such a beautiful bedroom with a beautiful view of Lyme Bay. I feel so grateful she is in such a lovely caring home, I cannot thank them enough.
My mum moved into Fairfield House in January 2025 as her dementia had got to severe for me to support her at home. I can't fault their support, kindness and care of my mother since she has been living there. All the carers are calm, patient and kind, they always have a smile and good sense of humour. The home is very clean and bright, with a lovely well kept garden and spacious modern rooms. They have activities and days out supporting the many varied and different needs of the residents
Since my step-mother moved into Fairfield House in December 2024 I have felt a huge sense of relief. I am confident she has excellent care for all her needs. She is in a beautiful place and has a bright airy room with a wonderful view and a spacious ensuite shower room. The food is amazing and helping her regain some of the weight she lost during her prior hospitalisation. I cannot speak highly enough of the management. With a finger always on the pulse and a willingness to take on and deal with everything and anything thrown at them. Any matters arising are dealt with in a timely, robust but knowledgeable and intensely caring way. All the staff are also dedicated, warm and friendly and together they all run an efficient yet family-feel welcoming environment. I am always kept informed about my step-mother's progress and needs and there is great partnership between us over her care and well-being. I am delighted we found Fairfield House.
Been made to feel welcome right from the time we looked at the home to see if it was right for my brother. We have had lunch with him a few times now, which is very good and the staff are very good. I know my brother is looked after well and is safe.
I am extremely satisfied with the way my mum has been looked after. The staff are always so kind and helpful towards my mum. I would definitely recommend Fairfield.
My mum moved to Fairfield House in October 2022. Her room was fresh and newly decorated, also airy and bright with a beautiful view. She was treated like a family member and well-loved by the staff. I was also made to feel welcome on visits. Mum always looked well turned out, with regular appointments at the on-site hairdresser, and attention to detail with her choice of clothes. There was always good communication with the management at Fairfield. Mum had the opportunity to join in a varied timetable of activities during the week if she wished. I always had peace of mind that Mum was being well looked after, and am confident to recommend Fairfield House to others.
From the moment I walked into Fairfield House all the staff knew my first name which I found very welcoming and appreciated. The chef had been made aware of my dietary needs and would chat with me if they were in doubt about anything. I was very comfortable in my room which had a beautiful view.
Fairfield House is a lovely environment where all staff treat residents with respect and compassion. Deciding to move a loved one into a residential care home is never an easy one but, Fairfield made the whole experience really easy and as stress-free as possible.
I have power of attorney for a long term resident who was a neighbour. I don't visit frequently, but when I do, I always get a warm welcome. The staff are always focused on my resident friend's welfare and check she is ready to see me, offering us tea, even at busy times. Her room is always neat and clean and there is often an activity going on when I pop in. They are very good at informing me if my friend has any health or welfare issues.
My mum has been a resident of Fairfield House Residential Care Home for over three years. The current management is communicative and considerate to residents and family members and the excellent staff are empathetic to my mother's needs and provide a high standard of care.
Overall I have found the staff in the care home to be kind and courteous to my mum, who has been a resident here for nearly two years. Due to her disabilities she needs things done in certain ways to help her, which everyone has managed to accommodate. Unfortunately the outside of the property appears a bit shabby which really doesn't do the care provided within the home justice.
Over the past few months the quality of meals has improved. Care staff are always prompt in answering bells and attentive. Management have been most helpful in organising transportation for my mother to attend dentist appointments.
The family have absolute confidence in the care that Mum receives on a daily basis. Mum enjoys all aspects of the activities and the detail the staff take to ensure that body and mind is kept active. From art classes, crafting, word/number games Mum finds both fun to do and entertaining and provides conversations with other residents over the endless daily themes which overlap into the catering which too provides interesting mealtimes. There isn’t a day that goes by without treats, fun and laughter. Mum also enjoys the outings to surrounding beauty spots in the area. The family are so very happy with Fairfield House and enjoy the social media page too, we are grateful for the attention to detail with regard to the important never ending tablet runs and attention to Mum's health and well-being. The management are visible, approachable and catering, maintenance and care staff are kind with the friendly cup of tea!
Mum has been a resident at Fairfield House for 4 years and as she ages she’s become increasingly frail and her dementia has progressed. I have never doubted that she is well looked after and that everyone, in their different roles, is more than capable, and willing to meet her changing needs and personal preferences. It does feel that all the people who work there are doing it out of a real and genuine care for the wellbeing of the residents. The home is clean, the team is welcoming, and Mum is having a great time joining in all the activities as best she can. Mum is still more than capable of letting us know if she feels something is wrong so we’re confident that she is settled and happy.
The staff have been excellent and have provided wonderful care for my mother, especially as dementia decreases her mobility and awareness. They seem to treat all residents with respect and dignity. They are communicative with the family and I am always made to feel welcome whenever I visit. I would highly recommend it.
The staff are very helpful and communicative. Very pleasant environment.
Good Staff, and an excellent manager.
The staff and management are very nice. Pleasant rooms, very comfortable. The food is very good. Friendly.
My Dad was a resident of Fairfield House for the last 4 years of his life. It's hard to put into a limited number of words how much they cared for him. The staff at the house are wonderful and went beyond for him many many times over. In all the time he lived there we had no reason to find fault with any aspect of his care from the food and the cleanliness to their quick responses to his needs. In lockdown, many of the staff did not see their own families and not once did anyone complain. Sadly Dad did not recognise any of his family towards the end of his life but his carers still managed to find glimpses of the man he was and always responded to him with warmth and love. I cannot recommend Fairfield House enough. If you are thinking of placing your loved one in their care - I can assure you they will be in safe warm hands.
