Mum has only recently moved in, and from the first day we went in the home has felt warm, welcoming and professionally run.
The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Meals professionally cooked and smell lovely, it's great to know mum has her appetite coming back.
I know how hard all
the staff work but it feels very calm and relaxed and family are welcome anytime.
Highly recommend Blenheim Care Home.

My mother in law has recently moved into Blenheim Care Home. The first thing you notice is how warm, friendly and welcoming the staff are, nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere is relaxed but organised.
It's early days but she really seems to be settling in and that's down to the staff and
their care.

My mother-in-law was really struggling at home. She was not eating properly and losing weight very quickly. She didn't remember to take her medication. Her neighbours found her wandering outside on a busy main road. Her dementia meant that she was hearing voices. The social services of our local
council found her a respite care place in Blenheim Care Home. This has been a complete blessing. The manager telephoned me in advance and recorded all her details eg. Medication, likes and dislikes, how she liked to be addressed. It was very professional and very caring. She was welcomed warmly on her day of arrival and allocated a lovely room with a view of the garden. Everyone introduced themselves and gave us plenty of time to settle in. It was a very friendly atmosphere. I have visited a few times now and all the staff are approachable and knowledgeable. They come across as an exceptional and dedicated team. I feel very fortunate to have my mother-in-law here. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone.

Many, many thanks to the wonderful team at Blenheim Care Home for making my mum so welcome. Mum has only very recently moved into the home so is still settling in, but the team have made such a big effort to welcome her & assist with the big change. They are also very supportive to myself & rest
of the family too, which is so important during such a difficult time. A big thank you to everyone, I'm afraid I don't know the name of everyone, but special mention & thank you to Kerry, Charlene, Mollie & Gina.

Fantastic team with a clear love for their residents and the service they provide.
My mum had advanced dementia and was initially residing in another care home, where she would be left in bed all day and fed pureed food. When my dad was assessed no longer able to live on his own, we were able to
reunite my parents by moving them both into Blenheim Care Home.
The staff's interest in getting my mum dressed & socialising, in the communal area, with the other residents, resulted in her condition improving, within 2 months, to the point that she was once more able to feed herself & eat solids!
They often have entertainers & animals visiting to keep the residents stimulated. The home is in a beautifully picturesque area of Bournemouth and the staff are super-friendly, always looking to learn more about those in their care, to help shape and personalise the care for each resident. My parent's lives were extended 6-12 months thanks to the care they received from this fantastic team!

From the first time we visited, staff have always been very friendly and welcoming and there is a nice atmosphere in the home. Residents always look well-presented and cared for. Drinks are readily available, both hot and cold, and residents are encouraged to eat and drink. Staff interact well with
residents and families, only downside is it would be nice to have an activity during the day for residents. I think this is being addressed.

My parents came for respite in February because of a work colleague's recommendation. They were there for two weeks and were looked after very compassionately. When I wanted more respite, I didn't hesitate to go back to Blenheim Care Home.

Mum moved into Blenheim Care Home recently after a 3-month stay in 2 different hospitals following a bad fall at home. She has mixed dementia but has always been adamant she did not want to go into a care home but she is settled, happy, stimulated and safe. The staff (and management) are all
fantastic. They are all wonderful with Mum and very welcoming and friendly with us as visitors. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The food is nutritious and varied, all home cooked and there is always plenty of water, squash, cups of tea on hand. Mum's room is clean and tidy and her laundry is all done for her too. Although they don't have an activities coordinator at present there are frequent visits by various singers which is fun and it is truly heartwarming to watch some of the residents dancing and everyone thoroughly enjoys it! Blenheim has a beautiful garden and the residents enjoy afternoons in the fresh air on a warm sunny day with a cuppa! Blenheim really does feel like home.

My mum was moved to Blenheim Care Home recently after being put in end-of-life care. Since she has been here in the last four weeks, she has started to eat again, three meals a day, is gaining weight, and now is able to get out of bed and spend time in the lounge with other residents. The next plan
is to get her walking again, which looks like it won't be long as she is already trying to stand. I can't thank the staff enough as I am sure if she stayed where she was, she wouldn't be here now, so thank you, everyone.
