My grandma has recently been moved to Obelisk House having now moved from being privately funded to being supported with social funding. As her power of attorney and main carer, I had taken a substantial amount of time to research her previous home, in order to find the right one. Which left me
very concerned that the home that she was moved to would not be up to the standard of the one she was in previously, as the decision was made for us, not by us. But my fears were soon allayed. The home is perfectly adequate. The staff have been extremely accommodating and more importantly care so much about her and the other residents. I have been pleasantly surprised with her new home and wanted to share my experience here so others feel more comfortable should they or a loved one be thinking of moving here.
