View Full Details of Radcliffe Manor HouseDad was in the Manor for 4 years . He was looked after extremely well . The staff were at all times very kind , caring and patient . They treated each person as an individual and realised a one size fits all approach would not work . I have nothing but praise for their professionalism and kindness .
I've realised that it's nearly seven years since my mum went into Manor House and I just want to say a few words about this care home. I am just as happy today as I was when she went in seven years ago, mum is very happy with the care and the meals she gets. Whenever I visit, I find the Manor warm and clean. The staff always greet me with a smile and answer any queries I may have. Also, the gardens are just lovely and spacious and a pleasure to sit in. I would recommend this care home for your loved ones.
The staff are outstanding. Always friendly and professional. The latest Management team are passionate about their residents and the whole team. My mother is well looked after and very happy. The food is great, varied and freshly cooked. Activities are well organised. The building is an historic listed building so there are obviously older rooms and facilities but full of character.
We are very happy with my father's care at Radcliffe Manor, where he has resided for the last twelve months. The surroundings are very pleasant, the food is appropriate to his needs and the staff are respectful, caring and attentive.
My mother moved to The Manor after her previous home. Her room now is much larger with a lovely view of the garden and space for visitors, but most of the time when well she sits in one of the pleasant sitting rooms. The food appears to be excellent and she goes to the dining room to eat and thus gets a little bit of exercise with her zimmer; whereas the previous home gave her meals in her chair, which whilst "kind" didn't encourage independence. Whilst most residents are too frail to do much more than sit in their chairs most of the time there are a small number of residents who are well enough to regularly go out to activities with friends/relatives in the village. If there were more staff there could be a bit more personal/social interaction between staff and residents but I appreciate that staffing is the major element in the costs of providing care. The Manor is a charity and the fee for self funders is significantly less than local private providers.
My Mum has enjoyed a few periods of respite care at Radcliffe Manor House over the years and now enjoys a permanent place at this lovely homely care home. She is treated with kindness and consideration at all times and is very happy there. If she is happy, then I am happy as Mum's safety, care and happiness are my main priorities in life. Her upstairs room is cosy and has lovely views over the garden to the side and the trees in front of the building. She enjoys the garden and nature especially and loves to go outside in warm sunny weather to enjoy the outside space. The staff are wonderful, kind and caring and the food is delicious as I have enjoyed sharing a meal with her in the dining room, something that is encouraged. Mum also enjoys the games and activities especially joining in with any singing, watching a film and visits from pets and animals. Mum is easy-going and I feel that she is well liked by all the staff and appreciated for her good humour. Thank you to everyone.
Radcliffe Manor House has provided a very comfortable environment for my dad. He is well looked after by the staff, who are extremely friendly, kind, caring and supportive towards him. All the family have been made to feel very welcome. Dad enjoys the excellent food here, chatting to all the staff and residents and spending time with his family in the beautiful gardens.
My mum has been at Radcliffe Manor House for almost a year now and the care she receives has always been top class and continues to be so. Relatives and friends are made welcome with an open door policy and transparency that is apparent as soon as you step inside the home. Staff go about their duties in a skilled and professional manner with a calmness that has a positive effect on the residents and has time to spend chatting with residents or leading activities. Residents are spoken to with respect and a calm, friendly approach. They use humour with my mum which she loves and although she is repetitive in what she says, staff always respond as if it is the first time they have heard what she has to say! Their patience and kindness towards her are always evident when I visit. Mum is always clean, dressed nicely and has regular access to the visiting hairdresser, chiropodist and manicurist. I hope all the staff know that what they do on a daily and nightly basis is very much appreciated.
The kindness and the caring that staff demonstrate in all their interactions with both residents and their family and friends is evident from the offset. The facilities are clean and well cared for. The gardens are particularly lovely and residents are encouraged to enjoy this special aspect (either of their own volition or with the assistance of care staff where mobility or cognisance may be impaired). Our experience was that my father was treated with the utmost respect and every effort was made to meet his increasingly diminishing needs during his residence at the Manor. This was a great comfort to us as his immediate family, knowing that he was being so well cared for. We would highly recommend the Manor House to anyone looking for the highest level of care and compassion for their loved one.
My mother was looked after at Radcliffe Manor for just over two years until she passed away mid-September. Throughout the time Mom was there, she was cared for to the highest standard, both physically and emotionally. The staff from all parts of the home know the residents really well and are always genuinely caring. As Mom's dementia advanced, the team adapted to her needs with sensitivity and dignity. Mom was at end of life for 6 days and the kindness shown to her and us, the family was exceptional and really helped make such a really difficult time more bearable. I am forever in debt to the manager and the whole team.
Radcliffe Manor is a special care home. It has many strengths. The care, kindness and compassion shown to mum during her residency at Radcliffe Manor was exemplary. This level of service is based on a clear set of lived values where the home's purpose is to meet its resident's needs. Staff are professional, endlessly kind, thoughtful, welcoming and happy in their work. Mum lived at Radcliffe Manor during covid times and after. We were reassured throughout that mum's needs were met well. The grounds are attractive and well kept. This gave mum some joy. It is challenging as a family to see your mum decline with dementia and fragility. Radcliffe Manor staff also supported the family as we struggled with mum's decline. Radcliffe Manor provided the safety, care and kindness we sought for mum. I cannot thank the trustees, managers and staff enough.
