Was very scared when my husband needed more care than I could give while he was at home Blackrod House had been mentioned to me iam so grateful he got to live there it's a very warm and friendly home The staff go well beyond what is expected of them I have witnessed firsthand how much they love and care for their residents and also the residents families xxx

Visited mum over two days in early October. On both occasions she was comfortable, clean and well presented. She looked well and I could detect no deterioration since my last visits. Staff were helpful and friendly. We feel we have chosen the right care home for mum. She really enjoys the food !

my Dad has been in Blackrod house since March 2025, he has always had the best care given by any of the staff looking after him. he's always happy and they have brought the best out of him, he's always well clean and well fed, recently my dad suffered his second stroke, a first while being in Blackrod House, the staff recognised his small symptoms and acted very quickly to get him to hospital, without their quick reactions my dad's stroke would of been more serious! I can't thank them enough luckily he's back at Blackrod after his small stay in hospital.

Love this place blackrod house looked after my mum when family could no longer cope at home Took my mum a while to adjust to living here but staff was very patient with her so mum soon started to relax and I must say staff loved my mum to the very end Mum did love the food at blackrod house all home cooking When I use to call or visit staff couldn't do enough for me massive Pat on the back to all staff I will always be forever grateful Love Maria (sandra's daughter)

This care home is excellent. The staff are really caring, loving and patient and do a wonderful job looking after all the residents. It is well organised and has a good maintained activity structure. The meals I believe are lovely and are very tasty, with plenty of extras and drinks throughout the day. All staff are all hardworking and do a fantastic job, catering at levels for the elderly person. They go above and beyond to provide a good service. I feel at times the staff are overlooked and work too many hours. The care home requires more staff to ease workloads and pressure, making it even more exceptional place.

Both my mother and father have been residents at Blackrod House for over two years. I cannot express my gratitude enough for the level of care, love and professionalism extended to my parents by every single member of staff. The dedication to each of them addresses their social and personal welfare including medical reviews and hospital appointments. Staff, assistants and social visitors all display a genuine affection for all of the residents. I am very grateful to have my parents placed here.
