I was devastated when I was told that my husband would need care after a severe stroke.
However, myself and our family were comforted when we secured a place at The Withins.
My mum had been looked after really well a few years ago so we knew he was in safe hands.
The home is run like a family,
many staff have worked here for many years and everyone works together
for the good of the residents and their families.
My husband receives excellent care and is treated with dignity and respect. The staff are kind and
nothing is too much trouble. Visitors are welcomed and encouraged to join the Withins family.
The home is always clean, his clothes and bedding are always freshly laundered and the chefs produce delicious meals.
The activities team work hard to bring a variety of entertainment, games, exercises etc to cater for
all the residents.
Sam, the manager, is friendly and approachable, he really cares about his residents,

In not so many words Withins Residential Care Home is just one big happy family where everyone, staff, visitors and residents, look after each other. It makes me so happy when I visit my Mum and know she is well looked after, is comfortable and happy. That's all I can ever wish for in Mum's later
years.

My dad is here and being looked after superbly. We were a bit perplexed at first when all the staff put masks and PPE on for what we thought was a flu virus. These people were right on the ball as usual! Thank God for all their professionalism. Thank you all for being there for my dad when we can't
be. We lost mum who was here a couple of years ago and the family was so grateful for the support we received. We can't thank these people enough ever!

My mother-in-law has been a resident at the Withins for two and a half years. Having experienced a series of falls and being in a general state of declining health we were grateful as a family that she was accepted here at the Withins. From then, her health has improved and she has recently
celebrated her 98th birthday. The support and care she has received from all the staff has been marvellous. It is often hard to 'let' a loved one go into a care home but we believe that the Withins has proved to be an excellent place for her and therefore afforded us peace of mind. The activities too are brilliant and we believe help residents not only to socialise but to keep active. As a family, we have experienced a challenging year and the support of the manager and his team during this time has been outstanding. We wish to thank you all. Thank you.

As a nurse for over 30 years I can attest that the care provided by this home is absolutely the gold standard. During the years my Grandmother enjoyed at the Withins she was treated with love and respect by all the staff always. Their approach to providing a quality of life with many, many
activities, trips and entertainment evenings I am sure brought extra years to my Grandma. Our family feels blessed to have found such a wonderful home for her, thank you to all the amazing staff at the Withins, we are grateful every day for all you did.
