My mother has been in Woodlands for 18 months, she has settled in really well, mainly due to the kind and welcoming staff at the home. The staff make a real effort to create a homely environment and put on activities and events each week. I've just been to a Christmas lunch for the residents and
their relatives which the staff organise and run for the day, a really lovely event that gives everyone a chance to have a family Christmas dinner. My mum is really happy at the home and her physical and mental health has improved massively since she arrived at Woodlands. Thanks to all the staff for looking after my mum so well.

My mum went into Woodlands Care Home April 2024 after a fall and broke her hip. Mum has Vascular Dementia and needed 24 hour care.
Yvonne the manager came to the hospital to see if Woodlands would be a place where my mum could call home and be looked after.
Yvonne was brillant, she made the
move as pleasant and stress free as it could possibly be at such a very stressful and upsetting time. Nothing is too much trouble.
All the staff are 1st class, they are caring, and pleasant. Mum is always smiling and happy.
They provide Activities through the week - Donna and Rachel. When it was my mums birthday, they went above and beyond to make it special and organised a singer to come to the home and all the residents loved it.
I would recommend Woodlands Care Home.

I really can't speak highly enough of Woodlands Rest Home.. My dad who has dementia, has recently gone in permanently. Yvonne, Kirsty, Kelly & the team have made what was such a stressful time, into a breeze. His room is excellent, warm & comfortable. Dad loves the food, he has had foot massages,
played balloon tennis in the lounge, has been dancing & singing along with the activity staff Donna & Rachel. The activities are brilliant, for example they shared an Xmas activity program with families that included local primary school children coming in to sing Xmas carols to the residents, Xmas decoration making, Xmas cake decorating, a singer coming in to sing at the residents Xmas party and much more. We are so happy that dad has settled so well & is so well cared for.

My mum went into Woodlands in 2013, she went in frail, unable to walk and full of bedsores from a local hospital, and soon after her transfer, she was up and about. All the bedsores had disappeared, and she was full of life.
The care delivered by the staff at Woodlands is of a very high standard,
they deliver individualised personal care, with care, empathy and positive regard.
The staff do activities, they have parties inviting families and carers, and even decorate the resident's bedrooms with hand painted pictures, creating a sensory environment for those affected with dementia Like my mum.
Every staff member is pleasant and has a positive, caring, patient-centred approach.
Mum has recently passed away, but only for the staff here at Woodlands in Netherley, they extended her life for another, 5 1/2 years, she passed away at 86 years of age.

The care at Woodlands is excellent. The staff genuinely seem to care about the residents and my mother has thrived in this environment.
In fact she feels so secure there she doesn't want to go out at all. I would prefer that all the chairs in the lounge weren't against the wall but appreciate the
reasons for this. Sometimes there is a strong urine smell in the lounge, but these are minor issues.
All in all - lovely, caring staff and so glad we chose it for mum.
