My Mum, Joan, died yesterday morning eventually relaxed and gently passed away with us by her side, she did not know we were there, due to the severity of her pain relief she was administered, we knew this was needed as did the doctors and palliative care nurses, she was feisty and had a sharp tongue and I can only apologise to the unnerving staff that took care of her right till the end. You are special people looking after the elderly with a professionalism that we found unmatched I and my wife were always asked if we needed anything, she didn't want to be there, but could not live on her own (Falling risk) and in last 3 years of her 94 year old life needed more care as Hospital stays became more frequent 2 care homes and a flat she became to hate. she just didn't want to be anywhere. Thank you for looking after her till the end.

From the first day we met staff from Morton Close to the day my mother-in-law passed away, we found them to be very professional, extremely caring and patient, not only to our mother but also to the family who visited. The home was clean and didn't smell of anything, which wasn't always the case when we had viewed other homes. Mother also commented on how clean they kept her, which was great to hear as personal hygiene had always been important to her. Mother was encouraged to join in all of the many activities they provided as well as one to one sessions but if she didn't want to that was fine and she was never forced to do anything against her will. Her dignity was always maintained and this seemed as important to the staff as it was to her. During her last weeks and days, the staff were very attentive to her and at the first sign of any medical issues, a doctor was called. We can't thank them enough for the support given to the family at the end. These are very special people indeed.
