We continue to be pleased with the care that my mother receives at the home. Staff are always polite and helpful. Mum seems happy and healthy.
We were however, let down recently when Mum had a fall whilst being taken out by staff and fractured her spine. There was next to nothing written about her
accident which was very unhelpful at the hospital and causes concern over what actually happened. Mum also continues to get urinary infections and I am concerned that she is not drinking enough water.

He is well looked after, and has made some friends . And they do a lot of activities which he helps out also enjoys a cooked breakfast . And has family that visits as often as as they can . And a big tea drinker with a biscuit .

An exceptional home filled with care, respect, and dignity
I cannot praise Llys Gwyn Nursing Home enough for the incredible care they provide to my father, who is living with dementia. Placing a loved one into care is a deeply emotional decision, but the team here has given our family total peace
of mind.
The staff are genuinely wonderful. Every time we visit, my father is clean, well-groomed, and clearly content. What stands out most is the profound respect and dignity with which they treat him-and indeed, every other resident we see them interact with. They don't just "do a job"; they truly care.
Communication is excellent, and they always keep us closely updated on his needs. Furthermore, the home hosts lovely events that allow us to meet other residents and their families, which creates a really supportive, welcoming community feel.
Thank you, Llys Gwyn, for looking after my dad so beautifully. We are incredibly grateful.

Relative is so happy and settled, the staff are amazing and make visitors feel so welcome.
It is the best home that I have visited and such a lovely atmosphere.
The entertainment and events that are held are so good for the residents.

The staff are always very caring and helpful. They cannot do enough for either the residents or the residents' families. They always keep us updated on Dad's health and well-being. They are always contactable.

Mum has been in this home for well over 10 years and I have no issues.She is well kept , well fed and happy.
I turn up once a week to see mum at a time unannounced and she is s as always in a good state of dress very happy and content.
When I am not there I receive texts to say if anything is
wrong or needed.

Every member of staff at Llys Gwyn Residential Homes shows such a caring compassionate empathy to my mum and all the other residents . Great care and attention to detail to cleanliness and helping mum choose the clothes that she wears on a daily basis . They are all certainly earth angels .

As both the daughter and granddaughter of a resident here, I cannot speak highly enough of this care home and every member of staff we've met. From day one, their attitude has been nothing but kind, patient, and deeply caring-they treat my loved one with such dignity and warmth, and it truly feels
like they see them as an individual, not just a resident.
They have been incredibly supportive to us, not just the person in their care. When we were going through the settling-in period, we were worried about how the transition would go, but the team guided us every step of the way, offered reassurance, and helped my relative feel safe, comfortable, and at home in no time.
Communication is excellent too-they are always informative, clear, and honest, and we receive continuous, regular updates about how things are going, any small changes, or anything we might need to know. We never feel out of the loop, and that gives us such peace of mind.

My gran has only been on your home since a week before Christmas and the welcome that she has had has been amazing. When myself and my mum come to see her the staff are so welcoming its like we have known you all for a longer time. Nothing is too much trouble. As soon as we come in we are asked
if we would like a cuppa. Even getting used to some of the residents when they want a hug. I have worked in care homes and I have never been to one as amazing as yours. Me and my mum joke that we want to put our names down to stay.

The staff looking after my grandad are amazing with him. He has settled in really well. Thank you for looking after him. He eats well, sleeps well. He doesn't like leaving his room much but he has made some friends there with the other residents.

The home looks after my Mother very well. Her needs are met and the home always involves me in her care. If they need to then they will always contact me if there is a problem or a health issue.
Mum is far more relaxed at the home as opposed to when she lived on her own.
The home manages her
dementia very well.
I have no complaints.

I am very happy with my mum's care at Llys Gwyn, The staff are wonderful, very friendly and caring and the carer who organises the activities is excellent. I never worry that Mum is not being cared for properly, and feel that she is in a safe place.

Dad has been a resident for 3 years now and has received such excellent care from all staff. When I visit dad, I witness how all the staff engage with the other residents with regards to basic conversation and when they seem to be having an off day, how they get them laughing and smiling again. We
are always greeted with, how are you, would you like a drink and a little update on how dad's been.
Dad will always say, they are always looked after, and the staff do a lot for them, he loves them all.
He loves the homemade food and the choices they are offered. He gets involved with the activities and on occasions he calls the bingo and joins in with the singing.
The past few years the home have invested in new furniture, flooring and redecoration, and continue to do so.

I am very pleased with the care my mum receives at Llys-Gwyn she has settled in very well. It's a calm homely and friendly place and when visiting always offers tea/coffee. Staff chat to you and let you know how mum has been and the activities she has done.

Every time we visit Mam we experience such a great welcome from all the staff, there's never ever a nasty smell, it's like walking into your own home, the whole home is spotlessly clean, Mam in her own way is very happy, the food is always of a good quality too. Please keep up the great service,

The staff at Llys Gwyn are excellent. They are attentive and ensure that my mother is kept safe and clean at all times. They contact me immediately if there are any issues. They know her needs very well and whenever I visit I can see she has been well taken care of.

Mum is very well cared for. She is happy, has enjoyable events and is well looked after. Her personal needs and care are well looked after. This is not the same in all homes - I get to visit various others in a professional capacity often - and whilst Llys Gwyn could do with a lick of paint in
places, that's just structural. The personnel are your greatest asset. The only other 'quibble' I'd have is that the WiFi/cordless phone range to my mum's room leads to impossible calls - and her hearing negates trying to talk to her in the day room as too much noise. Sadly I'm stuck for health reasons in the midlands which can become an issue but probably more from my point of view than Mum's as she's happy.

When admitting my mother to Llys Gwyn, I was delighted with the first meeting which gave me faith and confidence at letting my mum stay there. However, the day I took her in was unnecessarily stressful. It would have been helpful to have been advised beforehand that I would need to inventory her
belongings and put labels on her clothes. Instead, after unpacking everything, I was asked to complete an inventory, which I did. On completion of that, I was then told about the labelling which I didn't have so had to go through everything a third time to add labels. So this is the one piece of advice I would offer. However since then, I am delighted with her care, the wonderful staff and management, I cannot speak highly enough of their wonderful work and it's a pleasure to deal with all of them. Recommend Llys Gwyn, if you can look past the accommodation, the care couldn't be any better.

The staff are kind and caring and the atmosphere is always relaxed. The staff work hard to provide various activities and engage with the residents. They always call if there are any health concerns and keep us very well informed. Very happy with the care provided.
