The staff are helpful, kind, considerate and very welcoming. The home will always inform you of how your relative is doing any concerns they may have.

Always made welcome by the staff, and always offered a drink. Very good at keeping me up to date with what's going on, activities and any medical things for my aunt. They try to accommodate wherever they can. Staff all lovely.

Prestemede is a very welcoming care home. All staff are friendly and offer a drink and let you settle in. Staff are respectful to all residents. Staff can't do enough and put on lovely activities.

Brilliant as always- so understanding of my grandmothers needs. She eats so well when there and enjoys the social side as well. The carers are so kind and helpful to her every need. Couldn't recommend more highly.

My father has been a full-time resident since May this year. He had lived in Presteigne most of his adult life and wanted to remain in the town when he could no longer manage at home alone. Prestemede is lovely and homely, the staff are very kind and cheerful, and we the family are always made very
welcome with the offer of a cuppa on our visits. My father is very happy and settled and is enjoying the company of others as he's lived on his own for several years. The home is very clean and the food is great.

I helped my mum to travel to Prestemede Care Home for 2 weeks respite, the staff are so kind. We had a warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The manager had very kindly allowed a video call assessment due to long distance. The staff accommodated requests and needs and were all lovely. The food
was very good. Mum is definitely looking forward to respite there again in 2025. Kind regards to all.

Since entering this nursing home, I feel I have received the best help, care and attention at all times. I am a service user and I have no other connection. The facilities are adequate and available at all times. It is also situated in a small town where I live.

Warm welcome, treated as an individual. Pleasuring to see staff sitting down and eating with us. Food homely, good quality. Pleasant outlook on all sides.
Room well serviced, taken out in a wheelchair to get some fresh air.
Missed not having any hooks on the back of doors to hang outdoor jackets,
robe and flannels in the washroom, etc. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable, recuperative stay.

I think the place is marvellous. The staff are very good. The staff will let me go out when I want to. I like helping them. I'm very happy.

The best residential home I have ever been to, clean, wonderful staff, excellent care and care facilities outstanding, staff wonderful.

My father went for 2 weeks respite, which extended to 4 weeks, then indefinitely as he realised he wasn't able to cope on his own at home. He was welcomed both by the staff and other guests (Prestemede has the feeling of a nice small seaside hotel!) The staff are very kind and do spend time talking
to Dad about his life which I think is so important. There are activities to join in, and I feel Dad is safe, cared for and treated with respect and dignity. I cannot fault it.

Prestemede is a care home where you can enjoy splendid food and excellent care in pastoral surroundings. I am so grateful to have stayed in a care home where I found all members of the staff to be kind, thoughtful and encouraging for my recovery. I would thoroughly recommend Prestemede.

How lovely to find such a well-managed care home in close proximity to where my friend lives. From the first point of contact, when I phoned to arrange a visit, to being asked my thoughts at the conclusion of each visit, I have been extremely impressed by the pleasant, cheerful and caring staff.
The home is clean, bright and uncluttered, and does not have the unpleasant smells one so often finds in care homes.
The bedroom is tidy and comfortable, and the en-suite bathroom is very convenient.
My friend says the meals are good and she cannot find fault with anything.
I have been offered a much-appreciated hot drink on each occasion.

As always, I'm impressed by the professional, caring and friendly way my mother is taken care of.
Prestemede is always clean, tidy and well-presented.

Since moving into Prestemede for respite, my mum has seemed the happiest and most well I have seen her for years. The manager has been wonderful, prior to mum moving in, and since, caring, warm, professional, reassuring and very knowledgeable. All the staff seem committed, professional and so
engaged and caring. Thank you so much.

Mum settled really quickly into this lovely home. It is clean, friendly, comfortable and has very good facilities. The improvement in mum is massive! Her health and well-being is a joy to see, she is now back to her happy, cheerful self. The staff are so welcoming to all the families and visitors
that visit their loved ones. The knowledge and experience the staff hold is outstanding. Thank you all so much for the excellent work you all do!
