My Dad was in the home for just under 3 years.I cannot rate highly enough, the the care, dedication and attention that was given by the staff, to my Dad.
Intially on entering the home, my Dad was was quite difficult,as with many people, he had valued his independence.Through patience and a great deal
of kindness and effort ,the staff soon won him over and he ended up having great relationships with, often with a bit of humour. The staff genuinely like their work and when I visited(about twice a week),there was always laughter and a bit of banter going on with the residents.Often they would have activities, such as a professional singers coming in,quizzes and art work. The food was great, very nutritional .The staff were always encouraging the residents to walk where possible. In the summer the staff made much effort to sit residents outside if they chose .In summary, the management team and experienced staff were warm, caring and extremely capable .My Dad could not have been in better hands.

I have been a resident at Newlañds since June 2024 when I decided to come here after almost ten years living on my own after my wife's demise.
I was doing a pretty good job of it until I was hit with a series of minor illnesses requiring hospitalisation. I decided that a care home was the answer,
and eventually decided on Newlañds after viewing several homes.
I also had the advantage of having volunteered in several care homes, hospices and University medical schools for twenty years, so I reckon I had a wealth of experience to call on.
My initial feeling about Newlañds was quickly vindicated. The work ethic there was top- drawer, and the staff from management down were of the highest calibre and truly caring.
I would have no qualms about recommending this home to anyone thinking about plaçing a loved one in a care home.

Our friend was a resident until her death in early April. During her time there she received the most wonderful, professional care that anyone could wish.
