View Full Details of Rosaburn HouseMum is well cared for and is happy in her own wee world. Care staff are great with her. The care medically is well communicated to us and she seems content. The food and supplied to mum is of a high standard and the catering staff are almost like carers too. The wing is always tidy and her room is also clean and tidy.
I have two relatives in Rosaburn, both require very different care but are equally well looked after by all members of staff. Everyone is very friendly and kind. There is a lovely atmosphere about the place, plenty of activities going on and plenty of company for all residents, would and have recommended Rosaburn to anyone who asks, can't fault a thing.
My mum has been at Rosaburn for just over 2 years now, and we're so happy with how well she's settled in and been cared for. All the staff from reception onwards are so kind and helpful - we've never had a moment's doubt that Mum is in the right place to get the excellent care that she deserves. There can be a great loss of dignity with dementia, but the staff know Mum's and the other residents' personalities and quirks and show a great deal of love and respect towards them. They are always quick to let us know of any health issues and treatment that Mum has required. We have 6-monthly reviews, but there's never much to discuss because the communication is so good in the meantime. Rosaburn is very clean and comfortable, much cosier than I'd expected, and Mum seems to enjoy the food. There are plenty of activities, and the onsite hairdressers do her hair beautifully. The Northcare Finance team have also been very helpful while we navigated the complexities of how Mum's care is funded.
Wow, what an amazing care home. The staff are impeccable and the member of staff from reception always makes you feel welcome. The staff go above and beyond the call of duty and always look after my gran to the highest extent. She's so happy and it's all because of the amazing staff
My father has been a resident at Rosaburn Care Home since April 2025. Making the decision to place a loved one into a care home is never easy for any family. However, the transition was made so much easier thanks to the incredible team at Rosaburn. From day one, every member of staff welcomed my father with open arms and treated him with the utmost respect and compassion. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care have provided great comfort to both him and our family.
Finding a care home is hard. It was a big shock for Mum and the whole family as she had been so independent until that point. Rosaburn was the last of six homes we looked at in East Kilbride and we knew almost immediately it was the right place for Mum. Residents are treated with respect, All the staff, whatever their role, make a real effort to get to know residents individually which is appreciated by Mum and by us. I don't live locally so cannot visit as frequently as I would like but I am always warmly welcomed and can call anytime to speak to Mum or get a full update on her condition from staff. I am confident that the team at Rosaburn give mum the care she needs and keep me in the loop when things change for her. It took time for Mum to settle in but she seems happy now. She enjoys the dancing, Zumba and singing. It is lovely they make a special effort with Mother's Day afternoon teas and a summer barbeque when residents and their guests can share food and company.
I am very satisfied with the care and attention given to my husband at Rosaburn. I find the staff very accommodating and friendly. I would be grateful if a room downstairs ever became available he may be considered as he gets confused with lift situation, although staff are very good at taking him up or down in the lift. I would highly recommend Rosaburn House to anyone who would be looking for a care home for there loved ones.
My uncle is very happy at Rosaburn. The staff are all friendly and he enjoys his banter with them. Facilities are good quality, much nicer than the other potential home we looked at in EK after a stay in hospital nesessitated a move into a care home. The staff have even responded very helpfully when his Sky tv connection in his room needed the communal system to be upgraded, and they kept that progressed and kept me updated which I really appreciated. I feel my uncle is safe and well looked after and is in the right place.
When it was decided that it was safer for my Dad to go into care we were quite overwhelmed by the whole experience. We turned up at Rosaburn Care Home without making an appointment and they made every effort to show us around the home and answer any question we had. We visited a few care homes before this one, and not all were as accommodating. My Dad has been in the care home for about 5 month now and I couldn't ask anymore from them. My dad struggled when he was first there and staff done everything they could to make him feel comfortable and at home. I've observed the staff to be attentive and engaging with all the residents and my dad has alot of fun with them. I honestly wouldn't want to single out any of the staff as they are all fantastic. The staff know each resident and what their likes and dislikes are. Whenever I have a question regarding my dad, they know him and can answer it rather than having to look up notes etc which I find very personable. Its a great place!
Two of dad's grand daughters went & visited 7 care homes in the area.....a few were instantly NO, some were a MAYBE until they visited Rosaburn which was an immediate YES. Myself & wife then met with staff and had a visit to the home & totally agreed with them. Moving dad after 25yrs on his own was not going to be easy but due to the increase in his dementia it became to difficult to keep him safe on his own. The staff have been very helpful in settling dad into a completely new way of life but have also been aware of his need to go at his own pace. As all the family live a distance from the home it has been helpful to have calls regarding his settling in with really the only issue being his not sleeping at night but with their help & support they are working to resolve this. The constant worry about dad has been lifted and we know that if any further issues occur we will be contacted. In dad' own words ....this is the best hotel I've stayed in and the waitresses are all wonderful
My dad has been in the care home over 2 years now he has really settled in & gets on with all the staff well they are all fab with him as a family we are happy with his care he receives & the attention he gets .
My mum took time to adjust to care home living, staff helped us both during this adjustment period showing great patience & compassion. From walking into the welcoming reception, you are greeted with friendly helpful staff including management, nursing, catering, personal care staff & housekeeping. The daily activities timetable is well received too & it's heartwarming to see my mum & her new friends singing & dancing at exercise classes or at the in-house cinema. Staff are very astute & have acted quickly when they've noticed my mum wasn't 100%, contacting me while quickly getting her medically seen to & treated within the home. I can relax knowing that she is being looked after & staff are on hand 24 hours a day.
My wife is very well looked after and her use of the tilting wheelchair has made her day a lot more comfortable and she enjoys sitting with the other residents. The staff have built a good rapport with her and are always willing to talk about her when I visit.
Mum has now been in Rosaburn for just over a year, and at 94 I didn't expect much, but the staff have got her looking better and more aware than she was 12 months ago. All the staff are very pleasant and always listen to your requests and deal with them when time permits. Considering the other care homes available at the time Rosaburn was by far the best in the area, cost and facilities were obviously a criteria we had to take into account, but at no time were we pressured into anything and I can see how happy my Mum is , that they're obviously fulfilling her day to day help and requirements.
All Rosaburn House staff are friendly, approachable and extremely caring. There is a family-like atmosphere within Rosaburn where all staff know the residents very well and also their visitors which certainly helps to put us at ease knowing that our loved one is cared for very well. We are particularly pleased with the staff contacting us via telephone or email whenever necessary and very promptly regarding health updates etc. We definitely chose the best option for our loved one and would recommend Rosaburn to other families due to the attention given to all residents and the respectful manner always being shown towards both residents and families.
The staff are wonderful. Four members of staff in particular all feel like family. The care they show my Gran is not just surface-level care but a deep connection where my gran is treated like an individual. They get to really know the residents. When I visit I feel like I'm going into a genuinely caring world. The residents and the staff make it feel like a community.
Can't fault a thing, all areas of the Home are well cared for and every member of staff from the Receptionists to the Nursing staff are lovely, helpful, friendly, and kind, we are reassured that our Mum is in safe hands, and is well looked after and has plenty of company.
My uncle has been a resident at Rosaburn for a year and is fast approaching his 94th birthday. He arrived via a circuitous route, given that he lived in Hamilton, but was hospitalised at Hairmyres in December 2023. I took advice from one of the nurses on his ward as to the Care Homes in East Kilbride - they said that Rosaburn and its sister home were 'head and shoulders' above the others and, fortunately for my uncle, a place became available during his hospital stay. I was slightly nervous when I brought him in, especially as he had been used to living alone for the past few decades. However, once we'd negotiated the first lunch, he quickly settled down. He's always been active and this continues. Indeed, I would say, he currently seems to be doing a bit of an 'aging in reverse' and getting more sprightly. Long may it continue!
My Mum has been a resident of Rosaburn for almost 4 years. In that time the family has found that Mum has been well looked after. Staff keep the family informed if any medical issues arise. Mum is treated with respect and dignity. Staff also talk and joke with her which she loves. We the family could not be happier with Rosaburn and the staff. Would have no hesitation in recommending it.
This year My Aunt celebrated her 94th birthday, having spent approx 18 months in the care of the Staff at Rosaburn. The staff as a collective has made my Aunts stay as good as it could be. Knowing this has lifted the many years of worry on my part knowing how well she has been looked after. The smiles and laughter on her birthday said it all. Will always be grateful.
