View Full Details of Rosalyn HouseI cannot rate this home highly enough. My dad has been in here twice once was a pure stroke of luck that he got sent to this home for respite care and the 2nd time the manager went above and beyond to enable him to come back again for respite care. The home and stafff were absolutely amazing so welcoming . The manager's knowledge is absolutely amazing on all aspects of care and the help she has given me even after my dad went back home is just beyond her role. I can honestly say without her I wouldn't have known where to start . Thank you to everyone who helped my dad enjoy his stay with you . Thanks
My step dad was only at the nursing home for 3 weeks, during this time all the staff I met were very lovely. Some of his laundry was missing but once I advised, the staff went off to find it. The food was good, considering there were so many people to cater for, not everything is to everyone's taste! I would just say that breakfast approx 9:45/10am is a bit late.
Thankyou to all the staff at Roslyn house for caring for my Dad in his last week's with dignity and compassion,as well as giving support and answering any questions we had as a family. At a very difficult time they made it the best experience that we could hope for
My sister in law was sadly diagnosed with liver cancer and was accepted at roselyn house for palliative care. I can highly recommend this home as all the staff and nurses work very hard to care for every patient that reside there. My sister-in-law was very pleased to be there and loved it as all the nurses and doctors who cared for her made her feel special, she enjoyed her time there was allowed to do as she pleased which she did. I was very grateful to everyone who helped her at her final time of life and would like to thank them all she was very happy to be there. Thankyou
After mum passed away a year and a half ago dad has never been the same, he came to live with us for 9 months and then had to go to hospital with a broken hip, he was 93. Rosalyn House was the chosen care home by the hospital for my dad, we couldn't have been happier, the home was, comfortable and caring as my dad now was unable to leave his bed, I cannot give enough praise to the wonderful staff who looked after dad, they cared for his every need and it was a comfort to me and my sister to know that he was looked after so well.
Mum was admitted to Rosalyn House in early December 2024, until Tuesday 28th January 2025. The whole team were very supportive and caring towards Mum, she felt safe and contented. The manager was extremely helpful, as were all her team. I felt that the carers genuinely did care about the people they were looking after. The manager's door was always open, and the management team always ready to help. Overall, a really positive experience.
From the first time I went to look at Rosalyn House, I got a real friendly feel to it. It wasn't the most modern of homes but that didn't matter. The rooms were ok to suffice for what was needed. The care was excellent and that was all that mattered. Everybody from the cleaning staff to the carers and management were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
I cannot recommend Rosalyn House enough. The staff have been fantastic with our mum. She was brought in from hospital for a few weeks before moving to her new home. She was very well looked after and treated with compassion and humour.
My mum was brought into Rosalyn House on Friday the 27th of September. She was treated by the staff with such loving care and compassion. Mum died peacefully on Monday 7th October, the nurse was with her. My sister and I would like to thank you.
My father was very happy living there, he loved the food and his room and the people he was with. He was always clean and dressed smart, and the nursing staff really looked after my dad very well. I would recommend Rosalyn House to anyone who wants their loved ones cared for.
My aunt is a resident at Rosalyn House and her care is absolutely first-class in every aspect.
Mum was admitted to Rosalyn House after spending 6 months in and out of hospital. The care she has received is second to none. Staff are caring and compassionate and go over and above. The home always smells fresh and clean. There’s lots of entertainment happening throughout the year as well as trips out for those who are able. If mum is unwell I am always kept informed as to how she is. Someone is always available to talk to me if necessary. Mum is the happiest she has been since Dad died 14 years ago. I couldn’t have asked for a better environment for Mum to be placed in.
Caring staff, always something going on that is of interest to the residents. Day trips organised on a regular basis my mother-in-law is very happy here. Food and catering in general are second to none well done to all concerned. Management are always available to listen to any day to day concerns which always puts our minds at rest.
The staff at Rosalyn House were not only kind and helpful to my mum but also to our family throughout the time she was there. The manager of the facility, was a constant presence and always available to assist us. Her dedication and compassion was evident in the way she managed the home and ensured that all residents received the best possible care. The staff at Rosalyn House truly went above and beyond in caring for my mother. The carers and nurses stood out for their outstanding commitment to their job. Went the extra mile to ensure that my mum's needs were met with compassion and attention to detail. This dedication made a significant difference in my mother's overall well-being during her stay. I would recommend Rosalyn House to anyone in need of a facility that provides exceptional care for their loved ones. The staff's kindness, attentiveness made a difficult time for our family much more manageable, and we will always be grateful for the care they provided.
My mother was cared for with great respect, kindness and dignity during her nearly four years at Rosalyn House. The staff work hard and diligently, over time, built their own individual relationships with my mum. They shared lovely stories, conversations and laughs together. Mum enjoyed a laugh and joke all of her life and it was so pleasing to see, and hear, the fun and banter continue during her last years and even last few days. When Mum sadly passed, the love and care received was so comforting, going beyond a 'duty' to show genuine compassion. Also, I was given great support and information at this time. I seriously cannot overstate the respect and admiration I have for everybody at Rosalyn House; professional, friendly, patient and kind. Thank you.
We arrived at Rosalyn House on a D2A placement on a very cold, snowy day. This was our first experience of a formalised nursing home following a significant change in Dad's health. Good communication from the outset (what a blessing!) advising of Dad's arrival and was ongoing during his short stay. Carers were supportive throughout our 4-5 week stay as Dad was not always the kindest due to his confusion. Food always looked good and staff observed to actively encourage. Room was okay, but difficult to personalise as Dad was not permanent. Overall, we had a good experience and are grateful for their care and support.
The care and compassion that my dad received at Rosalyn House was faultless. He was there for one week at the beginning of April before he sadly passed away. The place was immaculate and always smelled fresh and clean. The staff were informative and friendly towards my mum, they are a credit to the manager. The family would highly recommend this nursing home to others.
My husband was admitted to Rosalyn House on the 2nd of February after being in the hospital for two months and the care he was given was very good. The staff were all very good with him and myself and my son. The other residents all sounded very happy and there was a nice atmosphere. Very often they had music playing, but the care for my husband was very good and he was kept free of pain at the end.
We would like to thank everyone at Rosalyn House for the wonderful care and love given to my husband. They looked after him so well. He settled will in their care. He was kept clean and tidy, the room was clean, his nursing care was excellent. My family and myself could not ask for anything better.
My husband suffered a large stroke on 05/12/22 which left him paralysed down his left side. He had no control of his bladder or bowel and could not eat or drink. A PEG was fitted in the hospital on 16/01/23. The compassion and care he received were exemplary. From the management, and nursing staff down to the carers and further staff. He, unfortunately, died there on 03/02/23. I cannot recommend them more highly.
