View Full Details of Kingfishers Care HomeMy husband continues to be well cared for at Kingfishers. We recently celebrated a wedding anniversary - not easy when living apart but thanks to Kingfishers we had the most wonderful day. We had a private lunch with a beautifully laid table with red roses plus there was a banner above us and balloons. We had a lovely lunch followed by a superb cakes shared with staff and residents. There was so much love and affection shown to us. We cannot thank all the staff involved enough. Thank you Kingfishers.
I had to pick the right place for my mum to live. It was so emotional and I felt a great burden of responsibility. But the minute I stepped into Kingfishers Care home I knew! It was bright, friendly and filled with love. The carers and staff are amazing they put in 100% all the time. The food is excellent and always available! We got lucky with a room flooded with light. Mum has now found her friends and she says 'this is my home now'. What a relief ! And I only live round the corner so I can see mum most days. It's just perfect! X
I visited my mum at breakfast time at Kingfisher Care Home in Bourne End and was really touched by what I saw. The dining room was busy and full of life, but the atmosphere was warm, caring, and professional. All the staff were so kind and polite. They took the time to chat with the residents, including my mum, with real respect and genuine care. It was lovely to see. My mum looked happy and relaxed, which meant so much to me. We all enjoyed a really nice breakfast together, and I left feeling reassured and grateful for the wonderful team looking after her.
My grandad has been at this care home since the beginning of this year. He had good care when he first moved in, but it could have been better. However, in this last month or so the care has risen to the level of excellence. There have been a number of changes over the last month or so, all for the better, and you can see how much happier both the staff and residents are.
Friendly welcoming and good atmosphere . Comfortable . Rooms nice . Food good . Staff go out of their way to put people at ease . Games and activities . Trips out . Barbeque and entertainers .All ln all good experience
If anyone is looking for a care home for their loved ones, look no further than Kingfisher House in Bourne End. From the minute you walk in the door, you feel so welcome. My very special friend has been staying there now for over 6 months and I am very happy with the way he is taken care of, but over the last month the service is exceptional as are the staff. They are always there if you need them and always very supportive of his individual needs. I can't recommend them enough.
The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. They care for all their residents with a smile. The staff all always willing to answer any queries and help find a solution. They are very supportive and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The kitchen and laundry staff are very efficient and cater for individual needs. The bedroom is always clean and tidy and his personal care is carried out will a friendly attitude. Although my husband is mainly confined to bed the staff will occasionally take him downstairs for lunch and sitting in the garden. Visiting is unrestricted so I can see him to suit my schedule which is a benefit. Knowing my husband is well looked after is a blessing and I can't thank the staff enough for their care.
I have to say how happy I am with the new manager, she is helpful, polite and has some good ideas on how to take Kingfishers forward. I was very disappointed in the previous manager she was very forceful and hard on the staff which was a shame because the staff are so lovely and caring, one even left because of her and she was very kind to my mum. My mum has been at Kingfishers in Bourne End for 3 years and the atmosphere now is very special. Thank you.
Kingfisher's Nursing Home has recently changed manager and I'm happy to say that previous issues I had have been positively resolved. My husband has now been receiving the best care since that managerial change and the signs for the future remain optimistic for ongoing improvement. The staff here are all very caring and supportive of both my husband and myself and we all have a good understanding and positive relationship. I would happily recommend Kingfishers Nursing Home to any friends or family who are looking for either long term or respite care for their loved ones as kingfishers provide caregivers that genuinely do care!
Our Dad has been at Kingfishers for two years and is happy. The new Manager is very passionate about making the home special for the residents and we have already seen some positive changes. She is improving their wellbeing by arranging more outings and doing more activities with them, and is reviewing the menu to make sure they get a good, tasty balanced diet. Dad is very happy with the carers, activity staff and nurses and enjoys having banter with them! They are always very friendly and welcoming when my Sister and I visit, including the lovely receptionist.
My Dad has been at Kingfishers nearly 2 years and is generally very happy. A new manager has started recently who has made a positive change to the atmosphere in the home and all the staff seem much happier. There have also been a few trips out recently which my Dad really enjoyed.
Kingfishers staff are always friendly and genuinely caring. It's clear they really take the time to get to know each resident as an individual. The management team is approachable and supportive. They're open, communicative, and transparent - clearly committed to making the home the best it can be. Dad really enjoys the food. It is varied and tasty, and I know the chef and management are currently looking at enhancing the offerings. The carers and nurses go above and beyond every day. Nothing is ever too much trouble, whether it's helping with personal care, arranging activities, or just having a friendly chat. The zero restrictions on visiting mean I can see Dad whenever I want to. The gardens are also worth mentioning - they're beautifully kept and very tranquil and peaceful. A lovely place for residents and their families to sit, chat, or just enjoy some fresh air and nature. It's such a comfort knowing my dad is safe, and well looked after - thank you Kingfishers!
Very friendly and professional staff. The residence is all nicely presented. The home is beautifully clean with a happy atmosphere. All round excellence.
I am very pleased with the care given to my husband. He is happy at the home and the care team cope well with his disabilities. The staff are very welcoming and easy to talk to.
My dear friend and neighbour was admitted to Kingfishers after being in hospital, for respite care in December. Kingfishers helped the process go smoothly with very little warning of his arrival and we were incredibly lucky they had a room. They have looked after his complex health conditions with true dedication and as a result of the exemplary care he received after 4 months has been able to return home.
The manager is excellent, always available & happy to help. I feel my father is very well cared for. The staff are very caring.
Visited my friend. Extremely good premises and lovely staff. My friend is still getting used to her change of residence but speaks very highly of where she is now.
The staff are always helpful to my friends health.
You just know the Kingfisher Care Home in Bourne End is well run by the kind and smiley staff. Very impressed with everything. Well done staff and management.
A very pleasant home that is seems spacious enough and well cared for. The external grounds look very appealing and there appeared to be plenty of facilities on site. Staff we both friendly and vary helpful. My mother-in-law seemed vary comfortable despite her still having the mindset she what to go home which is not tenable given her condition. Both my wife and I felt very reassured when we saw the home and feel she is very safe and well looked after.
