My late husband came back from hospital to Kingfisher's with palliative and end of life care. He had been in Kingfishers for 8 months before being admitted to hospital and all of this time he had been given excellent care delivered with compassion.
It was clear end of life was near and Roxana
went out of her way to ensure he could come back to the Home with all the extra care that was needed.
He was able to show his gratitude when he did return - he was always happy at Kingfishers-and we his family cannot fault the care he had enabling him to have a very peaceful end to his life.
Thankyou Kingfishers too for the love and compassion you showed towards me and my family. I could not have chosen a better place to care for my husband when I could no longer do it.

My mother has been a resident at Kingfishers Care Home since the end of July 2025, following a hospital stay. From the beginning, our experience has been very positive, and we feel reassured that she is receiving safe and caring support.
The carers and nursing staff are kind, patient, and
respectful, treating residents with dignity and compassion. My mother has dementia and requires a high level of support, which the carers provide with understanding and sensitivity, including help during mealtimes when needed.
Kingfishers Care Home has a lovely, warm character and feels welcoming and homely. The home is clean, calm, and well maintained, with a pleasant atmosphere, especially when residents gather together in the dining room.
The new care home manager is very supportive and attentive to my mother's healthcare needs and arranges assessments when required and communicates clearly with us, giving us great peace of mind.
Overall, we are very happy with Kingfishers Care Home.

Over the last year there have been a few issues which have taken longer than expected to resolve.
My mother's granddaughter and great granddaughter wanted to visit on the way back from an event down south early onw Sunday morning, when myself and daughter phoned the home no-one was on hand to take
the call to ensure my mother was up and ready to see them, why cant the weekend calls be put through to the staffs mobile phones.
I wish we were given information about my mother's health instead of having to ask for it.

I had to pick the right place for my mum to live. It was so emotional and I felt a great burden of responsibility. But the minute I stepped into Kingfishers Care home I knew! It was bright, friendly and filled with love. The carers and staff are amazing they put in 100% all the time. The food is
excellent and always available! We got lucky with a room flooded with light. Mum has now found her friends and she says 'this is my home now'. What a relief ! And I only live round the corner so I can see mum most days. It's just perfect! X

better, and you can see how much happier both the staff and residents are.

If anyone is looking for a care home for their loved ones, look no further than Kingfisher House in Bourne End. From the minute you walk in the door, you feel so welcome. My very special friend has been staying there now for over 6 months and I am very happy with the way he is taken care of, but
over the last month the service is exceptional as are the staff. They are always there if you need them and always very supportive of his individual needs. I can't recommend them enough.

The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. They care for all their residents with a smile. The staff all always willing to answer any queries and help find a solution. They are very supportive and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The kitchen and laundry staff are very efficient and
cater for individual needs. The bedroom is always clean and tidy and his personal care is carried out will a friendly attitude. Although my husband is mainly confined to bed the staff will occasionally take him downstairs for lunch and sitting in the garden. Visiting is unrestricted so I can see him to suit my schedule which is a benefit. Knowing my husband is well looked after is a blessing and I can't thank the staff enough for their care.
