View Full Details of Gorseway Park Retirement VillageMum is in Gorseway Park. I cannot thank the staff enough for their hard work. Mum is so happy. Entertainment is first class. Lovely genuine people. Many thanks.
Everyone is so friendly and caring, the receptionist and staff are all so attentive. Concerns about outside door which cannot be opened and may be an evacuation reisk if there is a fire.
My dad moved to Gorseway 4 weeks ago and I'll admit I was worried as it's a big decision to make where my father should live for most probably the rest of his life but wow what an amazing time he's having, lots of activities for him which he loves and he's really enjoying the lovely food, the staff are so kind and welcoming they always have time for my dad and we get a lovely greeting when we come to visit and all in such beautiful surroundings I don't think I could have asked for more for him
The staff are friend, and helpful. They treat their clients extremely well. Mum has been here for nearly 3 years now and we wouldn't want to move her. Despite mum's inability to do much for herself she is treated with dignity and respect. The entertainments laid on are exceptional and diverse.
This is my husbands first stay. He has a lovely bright room, very clean. Staff are cheerful, always helpful and very kind. Very understanding to me. Nurses really good at looking after my husband. Lovely place.
Gorseway Nursing Home is situated in a very attractive physical setting. The building is well planned and the rooms are spacious. The building is kept clean. There are a lot of care staff who are very kind, affectionate and caring to the residents. The management staff are easily accessible at the entrance and are welcoming. All those in charge of care are accessible, welcoming and caring and make a point of speaking to residents' family members. The food is good, the residents look well dressed, and the care staff do spend time talking to them. There is a team of people planning events for the residents and their families. Car parking is a bit limited, and no dedicated disability care park facilities.
My dad went to Gorseway Park Nursing home on 23/10/25. From the first day he was made to feel so welcome and every effort was made to ensure dad settled into his new home straight away. All the staff treat Dad with respect and dignity. Dad is always happy when family and friends visit and the staff make us feel welcome and are always so happy to hep in any way they can. We feel so fortunate that Dad is in a safe and happy place.
I am pleased to see a great improvement in my nephew's health. The support he receives here is clearly far better than what he received at his previous home. He's far more engaged and alert, clearly happy and settled. Thank you to all involved in his care.
My aunt came to Gorseway Park Retirement Village after a spell in hospital. As I couldn't get down to take my aunt from the hospital to Gorseway, they arranged transport for her and her belongings. The staff have made her and us feel so welcome. The home is clean and tidy. I am kept informed with all her care needs and if anything has changed or if the doctor has called. I live just over 200 miles away, so getting to see her is difficult, and having the updates are a really nice touch. Since being at Gorseway Nursing Home, my aunt has started to join in with some of the activities and mix with other residents and enjoys the food. When my mother and myself do visit, we are made welcome by all the staff, with their warm smiles. My aunt has nothing but praise for the staff. I am so glad that my aunt has gone to Gorseway.
Dad was a resident at Gorseway Park Retirement Village and Nursing Home for nearly 2.5 years until his death at 98 years of age. The care he received, at all levels, has been amazing. All staff are totally professional in approach but have a personal, almost family angle to care. Gorseway is not just a business run to make a profit, the staff truly care about the residents and successfully do their best to provide a happy and stimulating environment, enabling the residents to flourish. At all times, we felt that Dad was given the best possible care, both physically and mentally. He was very happy here and settled well, despite leaving friendships made over his 55 years in Plymouth. The staff at Gorseway, both front of house and behind the scenes work as a team effectively creating an atmosphere which is both caring and respectful and also caters for individual needs and challenges. Thank you all so very much.
Since my husband has been in care at Gorseway it's a relief to me to see that he is being cared for in such a warm friendly environment. The staff are very organised and friendly and there is a peaceful atmosphere for everyone. Feel lucky to have found this home!
My mum sadly passed away recently having been in The Manor Gorseway for 5 years. Due to the onset of dementia, it can't really be said it was a happy time for her but she was as happy there as was possible. She was always comfortable, clean and well cared for. Her last 5 weeks were extremely hard for us but Mum always looked comfortable, warm, safe and peaceful. We can't thank all the staff enough for making her final days as comfortable as possible for us.
I was really impressed with the high level of personalised care that my father received during his stay. Every single member of staff that he and I interacted with was caring, positive and encouraging for my father. As a family member, I received an open and warm welcome as well as being clearly communicated with throughout my father's stay, I feel confident for my father to have more respite care in the future.
As soon as I stepped inside Gorseway Park Nursing Home I sensed a friendly caring atmosphere, and I knew that my husband would be well looked after and in safe hands. The staff could not be more professional and helpful to both my husband and myself and nothing too much bother for them. Every resident has their own room and is encouraged to bring personal belongings to make it their home. I can relax knowing that my husband is being cared for 14/7. Thank you Gorseway.
The staff at Gorseway Park Care Home could not be more helpful and kind. The care and attention my mother gets could not be better.
My mother was very well cared for in her last few months of life. Carers very considerate and conscientious, management always on hand to answer any questions the family had. We would highly recommend Gorseway Manor.
My wife is being cared for (vascular dementia) in a most considerate and satisfactory manner by excellent care staff who treat her in a loving and dignified manner. She enjoys a pleasant environment in most satisfactory surroundings and her quality of life is maintained as effectively as possible. I am able to visit regularly and find a welcoming situation at all times. I am content that my wife is receiving efficient and high-quality care.
My mum was a resident of Gorseway Manor Care home for 15 months before her passing, they were brilliant in helping her adjust from independent living to becoming part of their family. It was reassuring to know that Mum was well looked after as I live in Scotland and was not able to visit personally very often. The staff were professional and caring, nothing was too much trouble. Her final years were happy ones.
I feel my wife is getting the best care possible. Completely satisfied.
The staff are all very kind and friendly. There is nothing they wouldn't do to make my mother comfortable. When my mother passed away, she was treated with kindness and dignity. Her room was turned into a haven of peace with scents, music and lighting. Thank you to the team.
