My mother in law has settled in really well, it was very hard for her son to have to put her into a home, but is happy with where she is, everything is really positive, she is always clean + tidy, the food is really good, all staff have always been so nice to us offering us a chair + cup of tea. Her
room is always clean. There is not 1 negative thing about Gorseway. We are happy with everything you are doing for J.

My mother moved to the home after making the difficult decision to move to residential care. She first stayed for respite which she enjoyed and this helped her in making the choice of which home she would like to live in.
My mother settled well and the staff have been very friendly and compassionate
towards her and us as a family.
The staff have also been very proactive in making referrals to the GP when needed which gives me peace of mind.

After serious illness and having Alzheimer's, Mum went into Gorseway Manor Care Home bedbound and wishing to die, she had completely given up. A year later, thanks to the care and love of the amazing staff, she gets up every day, takes part in all activities and is very happy. She eats well (says
the food is excellent), loves all the staff and is enjoying her life.
I can't praise this care home enough for what they have done for my mum. I can visit anytime, it's clean and tidy and all staff are welcoming and friendly, they keep me up to date with how mum is doing and take excellent care of her.
It was difficult and quite frightening choosing a care home for mum, but we definitely made the right choice here.

For 5 weeks I stayed at Gorseway Park as a transition from hospital to moving back home. I needed to gain strength and some changes needed to be made at home. Gorseway provided the ideal setting. The staff were professional, positive, patient, happy, encouraging, treated me as an individual and went
the extra mile. My room opened onto the garden which enabled me to watch wildlife and walk outside. Activities were available. Meals were tailored to my neds.

The staff are always friendly, and helpful. They treat their clients extremely well. My husband has only been a resident for less than 6 months and l couldn't ask for better care facilities. He is always treated with dignity and respect. He has a
lovely room overlooking the beautiful garden near the pond.

Everyone is so friendly and caring, the receptionist and staff are all so attentive. Concerns about outside door which cannot be opened and may be an evacuation reisk if there is a fire.

My dad moved to Gorseway 4 weeks ago and I'll admit I was worried as it's a big decision to make where my father should live for most probably the rest of his life but wow what an amazing time he's having, lots of activities for him which he loves and he's really enjoying the lovely food, the staff
are so kind and welcoming they always have time for my dad and we get a lovely greeting when we come to visit and all in such beautiful surroundings I don't think I could have asked for more for him

The staff are friend, and helpful. They treat their clients extremely well. Mum has been here for nearly 3 years now and we wouldn't want to move her. Despite mum's inability to do much for herself she is treated with dignity and respect. The entertainments laid on are exceptional and diverse.

Gorseway Nursing Home is situated in a very attractive physical setting. The building is well planned and the rooms are spacious. The building is kept clean. There are a lot of care staff who are very kind, affectionate and caring to the residents. The management staff are easily accessible at the
entrance and are welcoming. All those in charge of care are accessible, welcoming and caring and make a point of speaking to residents' family members. The food is good, the residents look well dressed, and the care staff do spend time talking to them. There is a team of people planning events for the residents and their families. Car parking is a bit limited, and no dedicated disability care park facilities.

My dad went to Gorseway Park Nursing home on 23/10/25. From the first day he was made to feel so welcome and every effort was made to ensure dad settled into his new home straight away. All the staff treat Dad with respect and dignity. Dad is always happy when family and friends visit and the staff
make us feel welcome and are always so happy to hep in any way they can. We feel so fortunate that Dad is in a safe and happy place.

I am pleased to see a great improvement in my nephew's health. The support he receives here is clearly far better than what he received at his previous home. He's far more engaged and alert, clearly happy and settled. Thank you to all involved in his care.

My aunt came to Gorseway Park Retirement Village after a spell in hospital. As I couldn't get down to take my aunt from the hospital to Gorseway, they arranged transport for her and her belongings. The staff have made her and us feel so welcome. The home is clean and tidy.
I am kept informed with
all her care needs and if anything has changed or if the doctor has called. I live just over 200 miles away, so getting to see her is difficult, and having the updates are a really nice touch.
Since being at Gorseway Nursing Home, my aunt has started to join in with some of the activities and mix with other residents and enjoys the food.
When my mother and myself do visit, we are made welcome by all the staff, with their warm smiles. My aunt has nothing but praise for the staff.
I am so glad that my aunt has gone to Gorseway.

Dad was a resident at Gorseway Park Retirement Village and Nursing Home for nearly 2.5 years until his death at 98 years of age. The care he received, at all levels, has been amazing. All staff are totally professional in approach but have a personal, almost family angle to care. Gorseway is not
just a business run to make a profit, the staff truly care about the residents and successfully do their best to provide a happy and stimulating environment, enabling the residents to flourish. At all times, we felt that Dad was given the best possible care, both physically and mentally. He was very happy here and settled well, despite leaving friendships made over his 55 years in Plymouth. The staff at Gorseway, both front of house and behind the scenes work as a team effectively creating an atmosphere which is both caring and respectful and also caters for individual needs and challenges. Thank you all so very much.
