View Full Details of Copper Beech Care HomeWas very impressed with the level of care and the attention to detail. My dad enjoyed his stay and would be happy to come back for another visit. The housekeeping staff were very helpful and the home was lovely and clean. They were happy to help in anyway that they could. Would recommend Copper Beech Care Home to anyone who asks. Many thanks.
My dad is content and happy in Copper Beech Care Home. The staff are caring and look after my dad very well, they have also looked after me when I have been upset about putting him in a care home. My dad loves the food in the care home and quite often has seconds. He also loves the singalong afternoon. Copper Beech's care of my father has taken a lot of stress away from me.
Since my mother entered Copper Beech Care Home in August 2023, I am confident that she has received the very best care possible. All the staff are compassionate and patient.
The care provided by Copper Beech Care Home is exceptional. The staff are always extremely positive, helpful and caring. They go out of their way to make the residents and visitors feel comfortable and relaxed.
My mother has had incredible care at Copper Beech Care Home over the last 8 months. The staff have been very kind and attentive throughout this time. We couldn't have asked for a more caring environment, especially bearing in mind how frail and poorly she was before admission. It was a massive comfort to know that she was safe and secure in Copper Beech.
I was looking for a care home for my father and walked into Copper Beech unannounced. The reception staff and management could not be more helpful and sympathetic and we were very happy to help. My father has settled very well and the nursing staff have been wonderful. They treat the residents with dignity and care. Overall, my family have been very happy that we chose Copper Beech for my father.
My sister entered the home in late January 2024 following an inspection by my wife and myself. We were shown round by a very charming member of staff who explained all about the care they could provide. My sister and myself cannot fault the care she has been given. I know she can be difficult at times, however, the staff just smile and cope with each situation and I am extremely pleased with their care of her.
Very friendly, helpful and attentive staff. I feel my father is in good hands. The food is excellent.
My mum was treated with the utmost care and attention. She loved all the staff and they loved her. Her bedsores were immediately dealt with from hospital stay. All staff, management, orderlies and nurses were fantastic. I could not speak more highly of this home. I would score it 10 out of 5. Thank you for your care and attention to my dear mum.
My mother received wonderful care and attention from all the staff at Copper Beech Care Home. I was made to feel very welcome on all my visits. We are all exceedingly grateful and could not have wished for better! Thank you!
Copper Beech is very welcoming and homely, with high standards of cleanliness. While the staff are caring and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The staff appear to have a good rapport with the residents and also take an interest in the residents as individuals. The residents are also well catered for, with activities and entertainment which is open to the residents' visitors to share as well. I feel that my brother-in-law, who suffers from dementia and other issues, is being well looked after and cared for.
My husband had Alzheimer's so he went into Copper Beech from hospital where he was treated for pneumonia. Initially for three weeks respite care. However, after a few days we realised I could not care for him as well as the dedicated staff at Copper Beech. He became a permanent resident in January 2023. When family and friends visited we all felt his care was excellent. The whole atmosphere of the home was caring and supportive of him and me. He was always very contented, enjoyed the food, but could not remember activities! He sadly passed away in his sleep at the age of 93 on the 15th of October 2023. We were very grateful for the excellent care he received from all the staff - he did not lose his sense of humour and he told me he was living with his family, which I think is a great compliment to everyone.
The care at Copper Beech for my mother has been excellent from the moment she arrived by ambulance to the moment she passed away. The staff were amazing throughout my mother’s ten week stay with them helping her with her feeding, with health problems related to her stay in a previous care home and ultimately with her end-of-life care. The trouble Cooper Beech took in reviewing my mother’s needs before admission was far better than any other dementia nursing home in the region that I approached. They treated her as an individual even at the later stages of her life and nothing was too much trouble. With our other parents, we have a lot of experience of dementia and nursing homes and the team at Copper Beech are the best I have come across, not just in their personalised care but also for keeping me informed on a regular basis. I felt as though I could go back to being my mother’s daughter again rather than a carer from the moment she arrived at Copper Beech - thank you.
My mother spent the last three months of her life at Copper Beech, following a hospital stay. Prior to that, she had been in a different care home where she hadn’t been given the level of care she needed. Copper Beech saved the day and took mum in when she was very poorly and gave her a calm and loving few months. She had severe dementia and pressure sores on arrival, obviously, the dementia couldn’t improve but mum seemed calmer with the lovely care she was given and her pressure sores healed up quickly. She wasn’t given calming drugs until near the end. The nurse kept us up to date with mum’s care, always popping in to have a word when we visited, which was most days. The staff were all wonderful and cared for her with respect and dignity right up to her passing away. They were always very welcoming to family and friends who visited. I highly recommend Copper Beech, thank you for giving calm and kind care at the end of my mother’s life. We will forever be grateful.
Excellent care was given to my mother. The carers were fantastic in her final days. I couldn't have asked for better care.
The care home has a very welcoming feel. The staff are very friendly and always willing to chat. The residents' welfare and needs seem to come first and thoughtful and enjoyable entertainment is provided by enthusiastic entertainment staff. The food looks delicious and appetising. Although an OAP, I am not in need of a care home yet, but I hope that if I do have to place myself in one it is a good as Copper Beech.
Perfect end of life care with total compassion.
My late mother passed away peacefully at Copper Beech in December 2022 after being a full-time resident there since 2019. We had a very smooth transition into the home as we had used Copper Beech for respite care when my mother lived with my sister and we knew it was the right place for her to go once her dementia became difficult and risky to deal with in the home environment. Mum enjoyed the really good food and afternoon tea and cake and got involved with the activities the home organised with other guests and the lovely staff. We could go in and see her anytime, and pre-Covid it was a wonderful set-up for her. During Covid of course it was very restrictive, but the home did everything they could and my sister had some access during that very difficult time. Post Covid my mother's dementia was steadily worsening and this made life more difficult for the staff looking after her, however, they did their utmost to ensure Mum was happy and comfortable before sadly she left us.
My mother died on 29th March 2023, having been a Copper Beech Care Home resident since January 2018. She suffered with extreme dementia, with limited mobility for most of her stay at the care home. My mother was treated with respect throughout her time at Copper Beech and I have nothing but praise for the staff and managers who looked after her.
My friend moved into Copper Beech Care Home in May last year and was made very welcome by all of the staff. She was not very mobile but whenever I visited she was always comfortable and the staff did their utmost to get her out of her room and join in the activities. They weren't always successful but whenever they were she enjoyed herself immensely. The patio area is very pleasant and I was able to bring my labrador to the home when it was warm enough to sit outside, which my friend loved. Thank you to everyone for making her time there as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
