My friend came to Aniska Lodge for her end of life care. The staff couldn't have been kinder to her and her family. Her needs were met in a caring and dignified manner and they went over and above to look after her family in a kind and respectful way.

My wife was only 58 years old and had been fighting ovarian cancer for 6 years. That awful time came when she could not cope anymore and was in such discomfort with no dignity in her life. My son and I were in pieces at home seeing our loved one in this pitiful state. We were struggling to help her
anymore. The hospices had no availability and we needed help urgently. I had a very reassuring phone call from Radhika with compassion offering us a room. We soon arrived and the moment we were there the staff set about doing their wonderful work. They made my wife very comfortable and kept checking on us with care and sympathy. The kindness and professionalism was outstanding and we are very grateful for their attention to detail and for looking after my wife in her final stages. A very professionally managed home which I cannot praise enough.

Our dad was offered a bed at Aniska lodge in April 2026 , for end of life care, his stay was short just Monday through to friday. Accepting the bed offered was both upsetting for our family but also the best decision we could have made. The transition from his home to the care home was easy thanks
to the staff there.Every staff member we came in contact with were professional ,keeping us informed at all times, friendly and approachable , introducing themselves by name and very understanding and sympathetic to our practical and emotional needs. Our father was treated with kindness ,his dignity respected. The premises was always clean or being cleaned, windows open to allow fresh air in, rooms and social areas functional and always tidy. The lovely staff were always nearby, either to ask a question of just to offer a cuppa or a bite to eat.Our heartfelt thanks to all those at Aniska lodge for helping us through .

It's one of the hardest decisions, placing your loved ones into care. When I was offered a place for my stepfather I didn't really have anything to compare Aniska Lodge to. It wasn't the area I had selected either. After viewing I stood in the carpark, confused and uncertain of the decision I needed
to make.
Fortunately I met a lady and asked her if she had family within the home. She said "yes", both her parents were at the home. Then she gave me the best advice "if you get offered a space, take it".
So, that's my advice to anyone who reads this. It was simply the best decision I have made. My stepfather, Chris spent approximately 18 months in the home before he passed. I never had any doubts to his care. The staff, in plenty of numbers were always so attentive, caring and simply went above and beyond.
To everyone at Aniska Care Home - you are amazing. The unsung heroes of the UK. Thank you so much.

For the time my mother was a resident at Aniska Lodge, which was just on 3 years, myself and family found the staff and Management very approachable and happy to help to find solutions to any problem no matter how small. Aniska always had a nice family feel about it and always smelt clean and fresh.
The food was always lovely and fresh and always happy to give residents something that was not on the menu if wanted. Lots can be said but in short if I should need to be in a care home sometime in the future I would be happy if I was a resident at Aniska Lodge.

My husband was easy going, obliged with carers & staff. Never complained. Staff very kind & helpful to me, the weekend my husband passed, anything I requested was done with respect. They gave my husband another year, which I am very grateful for.

My mother was moved to Aniska Lodge from a care home as she required more one to one care. Her main problem was dementia. She was there for approx 3 years and during that time received excellent care across the range of staff looking after her. Every effort was made to get her out of her room and
into the group lounge so she always had company and various activities were always being arranged to keep the residents as active as possible. Was very happy for my mum to end her days in that environment.

My mother in law, was a resident from 18 April 2024, she sadly passed away on the 2 March 2025.
We as a family were very pleased that mum was able to be admitted so quickly, as her care was becoming difficult at home.
Immediately the Manager, Receptionist and staff were amazing. Very attentive
and very approachable for any concerns that we had. Mum seemed to fall into a routine quite easily, although at times seemed confused. The staff were brilliant at reassuring her and including her in group activities.
The home was always clean and staff always seemed happy to help mum and us as visitors. We as a family couldn't have asked for a better Care Home for mum. I would definitely recommend Aniska Lodge, their kind and gentle care is more than you could ask for. All the staff truly show that they enjoy providing the care they do. I would personally like to say a huge Thank you for looking after the best mother in law anyone could ask for.

Our Dad spent the last few weeks of his life in Aniska Lodge, as a family, we all feel very fortunate that Dad was able to be fast-tracked into their care when he was discharged from hospital. The manager and all the staff were kind and caring. They were constantly attentive and available without
being intrusive to both the needs of Dad and his visitors. They treated Dad with respect at all times and were patient with him even when he was sometimes tricky.
The home is spotlessly clean and well-equipped and maintained. It is obvious that the whole team care about the work they do and works well together, including Mr Cat! We would highly recommend the home, their gentle and kind care is everything you could hope for. Thank you from all of us.

Aniska Lodge provided a true home for me at a time that was particularly challenging in terms of terms of my physical and mental health. I have felt both safe and secure here, demonstrated by a vast improvement in my appetite, sleep pattern and mood. The staff here are exemplary in their
person-centered delivery of care and demonstrate a high level of professionalism throughout each day. Their care, support and guidance given to my family has been very much appreciated. Thank you.

My brother spent the last 4 years of his life in Aniska Lodge, suffering from dementia and schizophrenia, he received nothing but the best care and support from all the great staff who work there and I state this without fear of contradiction. They were friendly efficient and kind, I cannot praise
them highly enough. The facilities are modern, clean and welcoming, I have no doubt that if he were able, my brother would have expressed all his gratitude for how he was treated with such respect and care.
Thank you again and good luck going forward.

My mum was a resident at Aniska Lodge for nearly 2 years. During that time the staff were kind, caring and compassionate. They ensured that my mum was comfortable and safe. They took time to get to know her and the best way to support her on a day-to-day basis. Sadly in October, she passed away
suddenly, the staff were with her to the end as I was unable to get there in time. Their love and support for not only my mum but the whole family was beyond their call of duty.

Aniska Lodge was highly recommended to us by a family friend who had been very pleased with the care his parents had received and so our dad, who had Macular Degeneration and Dementia moved in last January.
My family and I cannot praise highly enough the care and support that our dad received
during his time here.
Each and every member of the Aniska team was so patient and kind and nothing was ever too much for them - no matter how busy they were.
One of the last comprehensible things our dad said to us was that 'everybody there was very nice and they really looked after him'. We felt so reassured.
Sadly our dad recently passed away and they were so gentle and caring during this emotional and difficult time.
My family and I will always be grateful to the Aniska staff for all their care and support.
Thank you.

Our dad spent the last 10 months of his life in Aniska Lodge, suffering with Alzheimer's and was given the best care and support possible by the great staff who work there. They were so friendly and kind and would sit and talk to him, we cannot praise them highly enough. Thank you very much, you are
all fantastic. The home itself is spacious with a big lounge where they supplied entertainment now and again, kept very clean and tidy at all times. We were recommended by a friend to Aniska and we would highly recommend Aniska as well.

My husband had a bad stroke, losing his speech and loss of his right side - I was very worried about his care. Aniska Nursing Home put us at ease from day one. It has happy and caring staff, with a selection of clean, bright rooms. I am extremely grateful
for my husband to be there, knowing he is in safe hands. I highly recommend this nursing home.

Speaking for myself and the rest of the family. We couldn't be more pleased with the care that our mother has received. The rooms are very nice. The communal lounge area is a very useful space and it is used to its full potential. Everything is kept in good condition and very clean. The staff are
very friendly. There is a constant supply of food and drinks throughout the day. The staff work very hard to provide entertainment, with a variety of events and crafts. Also, a regular stream of performers are booked to entertain the residents.
The most important thing for us is that our mother is happy.
