View Full Details of Fairlight Nursing HomeI am happy with my mother's care. She is well taken care of in every way. The food is good, and the activities are exceptional. She enjoys taking part in just about anything. The staff are friendly towards us as a family, and it gives us peace of mind to know that she is safe and treated with dignity.
I find the staff very friendly and always very polite towards me, they look after my mum very well, and she always looks clean, neat and tidy. She always says how happy she is and how well she is looked after. Thank you, it makes me and my brother comfortable that we made the right decision in bringing her here.
Dad has been at Fairlight for 8 months now. It is a great comfort to know he is receiving all the time and attention he now needs to support him at the end of his life. The nursing staff are on top of all his complex medical needs, and the carers provide dignity whilst performing his personal care. The entertainment manager is wonderful, providing a full itinerary of events and live entertainment shows. She organised a summer party for residents and their families with food, drink and a singer. The staff danced individually with residents who were able, which was very touching.
The following is written with husband/user. I have been unable to put whether value for money as we have no comparison. However looking at local places it appears to be good. The staff throughout are kind, caring and support, plus patient to my husbands need. There has been the odd situation when his bell has not been answered which appears to be that it is inoperative. The kitchen staff are excellent & always very happy to discuss meal likes & dislikes etc. The food is varied & very enjoyable. My husband hasn't yet immersed himself in the activities on offer. However, we have both attended the two party events, and enjoyed both very much. The Patient Liaison staff member is very helpful & always willing to discuss any concerns.
The staff in every department are very friendly and welcoming, and the care given to my husband is extremely good and gives me no cause for concern. His room is comfortable and has a very pleasant outlook. The activities team are excellent and the activities and entertainers are enjoyed by the residents. It is also very pleasant to be able to meet and chat with the other residents' families. The gardens are pretty and easy to access, particularly with a family resident in a wheelchair.
I think my mother receives excellent care from the staff who attend her. Her needs are met by the attentive and caring staff, and overall, I feel she is happily settled as a resident here.
My Dad was a resident at Fairlight for 6 months until his passing. The care and compassion that he received from everyone at Fairlight was second to none. As someone who works for the NHS, I can honestly say, like many of those who have left a review, I wouldn't have wished for my Dad to be anywhere else during the last months of his life. The team are exceptional, especially three staff members in particular! Thank you for everything!
I would like to take this time after sadly loosing my Nan which will always leave a big hole in my heart and all of Fairlight. A big thank you to everyone at Fairlight Nan very much appreciated each and everyone of you and saw you as family . Your care is amazing and I couldn't have wished Nan to of been anywhere else . Even at Nan's darkest moments you supported her when I was not there so thank you again. It's never easy from one day to the next when you're waiting for your loved ones to come through the door to see you, but you all fill those gaps up and beyond. Big thank you once again.
Excellent Nursing Home very well managed and run, clean and tidy and welcoming. In particular, the carers were excellent, empathetic very kind to both my wife and our family. It gave us a lot of faith that my wife was being looked after so well.
My late father was placed in the care of Fairlight as initially a respite when my mother's terminal illness meant she could no longer care for him in 2021. She was too frail to return home, and the Fairlight team agreed to accept her into the home for her final months in order that they could be together. We were frequent visitors to the home, and the care provided to our parents was second to none. All staff took time to speak with and formed bonds with them. The whole team provided much support as our mother's health deteriorated until her death in January 2022, including support to us as we practically stayed at the home for her final weeks. There is a very good range of activities, and these are run by a dedicated events team; this team were instrumental in supporting my father who had advanced Alzheimer's manage his grief too. Sadly Dad also died this year. We would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely home to you.
My father was put in Fairlight in Oct 2020. He didn’t settle in straight away and if it wasn’t for a few of the staff and nurses he wouldn’t have. He didn’t like the food much because he was a fussy eater who only liked traditional English food. He went in during covid, so until the Government eased the rules of going in it was very hard for him but the event manager made it possible for a video call once a week so I could see him. My father passed away suddenly on 3rd July this year and I couldn’t fault the staff that was on duty when this happened. They were brilliant. My only disappointment with Fairlight is the owner. They did not offer any condolences to my family which I think is dreadful and then to top it all, five weeks after him passing I get sent an invoice for £5 for toiletries my dad had, bearing in mind my dad was not fully funded, he had to pay towards the home. I cannot fault the staff as I say they were brilliant but disgusted with the owner, it seems my late father was just a number!
My father-in-law was a recent resident and I and his family cannot say a big enough thank you for your excellent care and compassion you showed to both him and my mother-in-law during his short stay. You made his last few weeks as comfortable and happy as you possibly could and you made his final journey so peaceful for him. We wish to thank you all that took care of all his needs.
Excellent facility. Lovely staff, wonderful grounds and surroundings. Best nursing care home in Sussex. Very happy with care of our aunt at 96.
The staff are without exception very friendly and helpful, and some are particularly caring with my mother, and make her feel special. Food is very good. The rooms in the new wing are spacious and light, with doors onto a patio or terrace. Staff sometimes seem rather overstretched, and getting dressed or undressed can be rushed and/or late in coming. The activities programme is very well run and offers something every day.
