Dad didn't want to be in a nursing home but due to his deterioration there was no other option. He was loved and well cared for. The management were brilliant.
He was in the home for 3 years before he died of Parkinsonism.I am very beholden to the staff at Honeywood for caring for my father who's
life was extended by 3 years because he was cared for at Honeywood. If he had not been at Honeywood and looked after as he was things would have been awful.
I will always be indebted to the brilliant staff who cared for my father.

This home came highly recommended to me and now I know why.
Every single member of staff was kind and understanding and they provided excellent care for my Mum, showing her respect and protecting her dignity at all times.
They helped to facilitate a peaceful death and I am very grateful.
Unlike
many nursing homes the staff are plentiful and seem happy to be at work, taking real pride in their jobs, and I gather there is a low staff turnover as a result, many of them having worked there for many years, which I see as a really good indicator of quality care.
My observations are both direct as a relative but also as a health professional who has visited many homes over the years.
The swankier-looking homes that look like fancy hotels do not necessarily offer great care like this one!

My mother lived at Honeywood House for six years, through the most difficult stage of her life with late-stage dementia, and I honestly cannot imagine a better place for her to have been cared for. From the very beginning, the standard of care was exceptional. The staff are not only highly
professional and capable, but genuinely kind. They treated my mother with dignity, warmth and patience every single day. Even as her condition progressed and her needs became more complex, she was always clean, comfortable, well-fed, and, most importantly, calm and content. That gave our family enormous peace of mind. The home itself is consistently spotless, welcoming and thoughtfully run. There is a real sense that the team cares about every resident as an individual, not just as a patient. The staff kept us informed at every stage, offering clear advice and gentle guidance as her dementia advanced. They helped us understand what to expect and supported us through each transition with compassion.

We had visited quite a few care homes in the Horsham area, for my mother, who has vascular dementia.
She had respite care at another care home, which was absolutely awful, and has given her nightmares since. My father chose this home as it had the highest rating.
Mum had another fall and had to
go to hospital, but this time she had to go into full time care.
Honeywood House did not score as highly as some of the other Homes, and after reading the reviews realised that this was down to not as many, but they were genuine, unlike some other places.
When we visited, although it was an older house, it was warmer than a lot of the care homes we had been to, and it felt very homely. It was also very good value and only had 27 residents, but far more carers and nurses than the government min, no agency staff
They have been absolutely fantastic and give her 1to1 care at night as she is has a high risk of falling. They are constantly monitoring her. Ivy and her team have been brilliant

Honeywood House is quite simply the best! They have looked after my Father impeccably. From my very first visit to gauge if the home was right for him to his final hours there, everybody is so kind, caring & considerate. Their professionalism & compassion is outstanding. Each day my father was
up, dressed & integrated within the Honeywood family & not just left in bed on his own. Honeywood made his final months enjoyable & he told me on many occasions how happy he was there which says everything I need to say about the place. Thank you Ivy, Dorothy, Ross & Darwin for your kindness & expertise & thank you to the rest of the team for everything you do to enable Honeywood to run so smoothly. Dad & I could not have done this journey without you all.

My mother has been a resident at Honeywood House for the past two years, and I can honestly say I have nothing but praise and deep gratitude for this wonderful home. The care, compassion, and dedication shown by every member of staff is truly exceptional.
Coming to terms with the decline in my
mum's condition was difficult and emotional. I visited many care homes during my search - Honeywood House was actually the last on my list, simply because it was the furthest away. But the moment I walked through the door and was warmly welcomed by the General Manager, I knew immediately this was the right place for my mum.
Since then, the team has gone above and beyond to meet her needs, always with kindness, patience, and professionalism. It brings such peace of mind to know she is in such capable and caring hands. I genuinely cannot thank the team at Honeywood House enough.

It was an absolute pleasure visiting my auntie during her final years here. The staff here are absolutely brilliant, from management to cleaners, they are all warm, friendly, respectful and professional in their approach to residents and their families. This staff-base isn't frequently changing, so
they are able to build up important relationships and understanding of every resident. Any problems encountered were quickly resolved. Not being part of a bigger chain of homes, Honeywood is a real 'home with real heart'.

Honeywood House cared for my wife from June to October as end of life care. They could not have done any better in terms of care, treatment communication and the way we were treated. The staff from cleaners to care, staff and nurses, made us all welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I feel due
to the care and attention my wife received she surpassed time limits givens for end of life care. I cannot thank Honeywood House Nursing Home enough for making the last months of our time together as a family priceless, and that little bit easier to deal with at such a difficult time.

My father has been a resident of Honeywood for the past 3.5 years. Before he spent a torrid 18 months in a very expensive London nursing home suffering UTI after UTI and receiving notably poor care. Remarkably, we shall be moving my father to be cared for at home. The SOLE reason we are able to do
this is that with the outstanding care he has received at Honeywood, his condition has improved.
We were highly recommended the home via my mother's chiropodist and we have seen why.
Honeywood has been simply outstanding in ALL regards of my father's care. From the second you come up the drive and see the well kept and beautiful surroundings, you sense that this is an excellent nursing home.
The calibre of staff and longevity of service is a stand-out reason why the level of care and affection for the residents is so exceptional. The nurses are very kind, sympathetic, friendly and highly professional.
I don't see how the CQC only give it good status. It merits outstanding...

My spouse was only at Honeywood House for a few weeks for end of life care. From the day I contacted the home asking if there were any vacancies to the day he died I found the staff extremely helpful, caring, kind and considerate. They were efficient and from the moment he arrived, he felt settled
and at home. They kept me fully informed of developments and did so with great compassion. They were proactive in his care providing one to one support at nights when he might otherwise have been distressed and were very willing to take him out in the grounds when he wanted to. The home is kept very clean and the food was varied and well cooked. I cannot praise them highly enough. They even provided me with a picture of him enjoying the gardens.

I cannot recommend Honeywood House enough. For the 5 years my mum was there, she was beautifully taken care of. The staff are very kind, thoughtful and attentive. My mum had suffered a stroke and had very high levels of confusion and anxiety, she had also lost a lot of weight. Over time, with
excellent care, my mum gained weight and confidence, she was always dressed nicely, hair done and her room was kept immaculately. I could never fault the cleanliness of the home and her room was very homely. The staff work very hard to cater for a number of residents with quite different conditions and they do it very very well. I always felt my mum was safe and nothing was too much trouble. I feel we were so lucky to have found this very special home.
The icing on the cake is Honeywood happens be in a wonderful setting with rolling countryside to take your breath away. Beautiful grounds in peaceful surroundings. If you are looking for peace and tranquillity in a beautiful setting, it doesn't come much better.

My husband has been at Honeywood for seventeen months. He has been very well cared for during that time and the staff are caring and attentive to his needs.
The care staff appear very well supported in their duties and many have been at the home for a number of years.
The grounds are beautiful and
the house is always kept in an immaculate condition. The management staff are helpful and supportive.

I have known this nursing home for nearly 2 years, first for the care of my friend an elderly lady, now my friend who suffers from Parkinson's disease and dementia. I am so impressed by the individual care of each resident, the comfortable homely clean furnishing, the standard of food and menus
provided, the pleasant rooms. I am also aware of the good care of staff, so that agency staff compare this very favouably. Growing old is scary but I would feel confident to reside at this place, where people seem genuinely valued and great care is taken with their dignity and right to choose.

Apart from periodic stays in hospital, my father spent his last year as a resident of Honeywood House Nursing Home. We could not have chosen a more loving and caring environment for hm to spend his final days. We will be forever grateful to all the staff at the home who provided substantial
kindness and support during the final hours and invaluable assistance in the aftermath of his passing.
