View Full Details of Fulford Care and Nursing HomeMy brother has recently been admitted into Fulford Nursing Home. They are fantastic! I cannot recommend them enough, they are extremely caring, kind and excellent with residents.
Extremely poor service. My friend is sleeping in her clothes unless I give her a shower and change her bedding, she will be dirty and wearing her clothes for 7 days!! This is bordering on abuse. Social worker is useless and couldn't care less. My friend has short term memory loss, doesn't interact with people, but is left for days without adequate care and paying for this service.
I have only the best to say about Fulford. The staff have been incredible. I wouldn't of wanted my dad to have gone nowhere else. I will be very sad to say goodbye to everyone. My dad has come on so much in the six weeks that he has been there, and it's all thanks to the lovely staff. So thank you very much.
As a visitor, I like the friendly attitude and the welcome greeting I receive. The recent meeting we attended was also worthwhile, and the staff seem happy.
I have no experience of nursing homes, but from day one, the welcome my family and I get from Fulford is always very friendly and the staff remembers my name, which means so much when times are very emotional. Fulford is very comfortable and feels cosy, so clean and always kept tidy.
The initial visit and assessment of my friend's needs and abilities was carried out respectfully and in a friendly fashion. My friend makes a mess sometimes in the ensuite toilet and in his room, where he chooses to take his meals. This mess is sometimes not cleaned up by care staff immediately and is left to the cleaning team, who may not be able to do it for several hours. I think this is a health and safety issue and it is every staff member's duty of care to just clean up any mess. Despite this, the caring staff are, on the whole, caring, friendly and responsive. There is usually a staff member on reception during the week to let visitors in and out. It is very frustrating, however at weekends when one has to wait some time for a carer to let you in or out. There must be a better system for visitors to go in and out safely at weekends without having to search for a member of care staff.
My father was a resident at Fulford for over a year. He was always saying how lovely the staff were and that he was well looked after. I am so grateful for the support and kindness shown to dad right to the very end.
My mother has been in Fulford for over one year now her general well being has improved immensely, the care she receives is second to none. She has made friends and enjoys the activities. The staff are always on hand to help. She always looks very happy when we visit her.
The most amazing friendly and caring staff at this care home. Every single member of staff says hello when you walk past and you can see how much they are adored by the residents. I never once worry about my mum in their care. The home has so much light and a massive community feel. If you have the option for your loved one to stay here, grab it! I can promise you it will be the best decision you make for them! My mum is very happy here.
My mother is the happiest she has been for years and loves all the staff. We are very lucky that Fulford was chosen by the Social Worker as a home for a D2A placement. My mother is now a permanent resident, and I can relax knowing she couldn't be any happier.
The staff are incredibly kind, professional and attentive. They go above and beyond to ensure my partner is comfortable and well cared for. Communication is excellent they keep us informed and are always available to help. Its clear they genuinely care and that brings such piece of mind. We have felt as friends and family and always welcome. Thank you from the deepest of my heart.
From our first contact three weeks ago to my mother leaving today, the service given by Agincare / Fulford has been excellent. We first contacted Fulford when my mother was in hospital after a fall. We wanted a local home to provide temporary care while we sorted out her house. She lives close to Fulford so it was a natural choice so her neighbours could visit ( that said, I checked out alternatives in Littlehampton and Fulford was the best option anyway). The Portland Admin team have been very helpful throughout. The staff at Fulford itself have been very friendly and caring for my mum. She has now moved to "in home" care for a while before hopefully moving to daily visits. We have engaged Agincare for the in home care based on our experience at Fulford and will consider them for daily visits. The only negative comment relates to meals..my mother is a vegetarian but says on a number of occasions she was presented with a meal with meat. On each occasion, the meal was changed.
The staff at Fulford Care are all so wonderful and caring. The home itself is welcoming and friendly, my father is a resident on the dementia wing and receives wonderful care. Each room is well equipped with personal belongings able to be brought in. The meals are of high standard and all freshly cooked.
My mum has been at Fulford care home for 2 years suffering with Alzheimer's, recently my dad has joined her suffering with Dementia. I can honestly say Fulford care home has been amazing. I would love to name them all. Reception, office, activities, carers, nurses, cleaning, catering, maintenance etc etc. Care homes sometimes get bad reviews but I can only speak from my heart knowing that my mum and dad are safe, happy and so well looked after and also loved. It's the hardest thing you have to do and heartbreaking knowing you can't cope anymore and keep them safe but I can honestly say I have no regrets. A care home is only as good as the staff they have and they are truly amazing. My advice would be work with the staff as they are the one's who will know the issues facing your parent/brother/sister etc. Thank you Fulford for everything you have done for my mum and dad and for me to.
Fulford Care Home have been all we could have wished for looking after our mother. She is well looked after and happy and all the staff have helped to make this so. We have been kept aware of everything that is happening both with her personally and in the home generally both with individual notifications and group meetings.
Have been going there most days since 25th September 2024. Everything is so well run. Very pleased.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. My sister is very happy here.
Very attentive team, helpful, supportive, positive and engaging. Food is good, entertainment is well organised.
Very friendly (my angels) all the staff. Meals are good. I feel very relaxed. Homely.
My mother came to live at Fulford nearly two years ago, as my father had died and she was unable to live on her own due to age and mobility issues. I phoned round a few care homes in the area, none of which seemed bothered, but Fulford immediately showed interest and compassion, and I knew this was the one! She now lives in a lovely room, surrounded by her own possessions, and is very well cared for. She loves all the staff and carers, who come by for a chat when they can, and I know she is in good hands. When we came to visit recently she told us she is very happy living at Fulford, and is glad we found it for her.
