View Full Details of Beech House Care HomeThe home was friendly & welcoming. My sister felt very relaxed and comfortable during her stay. The food was excellent & the chefs very accomodating to different diets.
Beech House is like a 5 start hotel, the carers are very kind, caring and always friendly. The food is excellent and the Chef will make you something different from the menu, if there's something on the weekly menu that you cannot eat, I went in for 2 weeks respite after a total knee replacement, and came out fully rested and walking the home on my walker. I have nothing but praise for everyone in Beech House made me feel at home, and I was sorry to leave after my 2 weeks were up. Thank you Beech House.
All the team at Beech are fantastic I cannot rate them enough, my father in law had only been with them since 22nd May but what a change in him , we as a family found it hard to say we could not meet his needs at home anymore but after a few weeks in hospital we found a place at Beech House for him he has had put on weight is participating in the daily activities so lovely for us to see he also loves the food nothing is too much trouble for the team .At the same time his wife was also in hospital and at end of life again without issue they got a bed for her too this means he can see her daily before she passes and also we can see them both together and as they have been married nearly 65 Years this means so much to us all and as a family makes our journey smoother. We know soon we will loose her but we know she will be cared loved and looked with dignity till sadly she leaves us . The support the team have given us as a family is very special cannot thank them enough
Dad stayed at Beech House for 6 weeks respite following a serious fall. We felt nursing care would be beneficial for his recovery. We have been blown away by the care, love, professionalism and compassion shown by all staff. Dad said he felt he was part of a big caring family and this was just what he needed. He is now considering permanent care based on his experience and we couldn't be happier that the decision will be his.
My Mum went into Beech House with a diagnosis of frontal temporal dementia last July (2023). The manager & staff were all very kind and welcoming and Mum settled in straight away. She died in March 2025, having had a settled, calm but fun time. The staff encouraged her to join in all the activities (every day there is something if the residents wish) & showed immense care as her health declined suddenly. The staff could not have been better or more supportive to both us and my Mum.
Dad was so well cared for and all his complex needs were considered. The staff were so kind, and thoughtful and knew Dad so well. He always said how good it was in Beech House and we know he felt safe, secure and content there. He really enjoyed the activities and exercises. A huge thankyou to all the staff.
My mother-in-law was initially a resident of Beech House Care Home from May 2023 and then her husband from the October. The care, support and understanding were exceptional. Staff always available for communication and advise with sometimes very difficult circumstances. The care of the residents is always paramount.
Mum has been a resident in Beech House Care Home since March 2024. Since living there, her health has improved dramatically due to the care and attention she receives. The management and staff are excellent, nothing is too much trouble, they treat Mum with respect and kindness and are patient with all residents. The activities are fantastic and Mum enjoys a great social life and interactions with others. Thank you Beech House for everything you do for my mum. The food is excellent!
My aunt went to Beech House Care Home in October 2023. She spent over a year being brilliantly cared for by the patient, friendly and very caring staff up until her passing at the end of November. She loved the companionship of the staff and residents and thoroughly enjoyed not only the food but the many activities the home provided. We, as a family, cannot speak highly enough of the care she received.
The home is always kept clean and tidy. The staff are helpful, welcoming and friendly. Mum enjoys the quality and variety of meals and snacks provided. There is a wide range of activities offered in the home and interesting day trips. Mum settled in quickly and is made to feel a part of Beech House Care Home. The home is tastefully decorated and well-maintained, the gardens are beautifully kept and a lovely place to be on a dry day.
My stepmother transferred into Beech House after becoming frail from serious ongoing health issues, which when living in a local retirement village had proved too challenging to be adequately managed under her very expensive domiciliary care package. She is a lovely, but sometimes stubborn, person who could be difficult to please, particularly when she was in pain. However, with the help of the local Beech House Care Home GP, she has settled very quickly into her new home and is very happy there. She is now largely pain-free and in an environment where the staff all treat her with care and respect. She's rediscovered her love of food (especially the daily treats!) and is now joining in some of the activities. Her whole life has been transformed from her former lonely existence in a small flat with carers dashing in and out without any time to spare, to a place where there is caring support with staff who always find time for a chat and a laugh with her. Well done Beech House. 10/10 for everything!
My experience of Beech House Care Home and all associated with it, in whatever capacity, has been excellent and I can not thank them enough for the care and attention they have provided for my terminally ill and frightened elderly mother. Thank you.
My wife has been at Beech House Care Home for almost 5 months and has received good care and treatment and there is no reason for me (or her) to complain. It is a cheerful and well-run home with considerate staff. As a happy visitor, I am given certain latitude (coffee/biscuits, watching TV). As for 'value for money' I hope prices do not increase this year.
I have recently returned to Beech House to visit my neighbour who is now a resident. My parents were residents from 2014 until Dad passed away in 2021. I am delighted to report that Beech House remains an excellent care home in all respects - the staff never failing to be helpful and friendly and the home is immaculately clean and cosy. A recent change in management has restored the warm family atmosphere that my parents enjoyed. I would not hesitate in recommending Beech House. Very well done to all.
I cannot write highly enough about the compassionate care that our mother received at Beech House Care Home. All staff, without exception and whatever their role, were thoughtful and compassionate, professional and warm, nothing was too much trouble, and they all went above and beyond to meet the needs of our mother. We are so grateful that she was able to spend her last months there, knowing that she was safe and comfortable and maintaining her dignity right until the end. The kindness shown by everyone was really quite overwhelming. Thank you just isn’t enough.
My mother moved into Beech House in January 2024. She had been in and out of hospital prior to moving to Beech and we could not have chosen a better home for her. It is in a great location, with a beautiful garden. Every single member of staff was attentive, kind and caring throughout her stay. We were able to take in any personal possessions for her room to make it feel like home, including mirrors and pictures which were all rearranged as she wished. There were stimulating activities every day. My mother looked forward to the meals and said they were delicious - and she had very high standards! As relatives, we could come and go as we pleased with no restrictions. The communication between staff and family was fantastic - they took on board any concerns, were quick to respond and kept us updated on a regular basis. The transition to Beech House for both my mother and us as her family was smooth and seamless. The staff took away all of our anxieties. Thank you all!
My wife has been resident at Beech House for 4 months. She has adapted to this quite well. This is largely due to the care and attention provided by the care staff who treat her well. Beech House provides a comfortable safe environment which I could not provide at home. The environment in Beech House is homely and relaxing. I am happy to know she is safe.
Visiting my husband very frequently since 2/3/23, we have found Beech House giving good care (see list of options). They have been supportive if you have any worries or concerns. On 2nd November 2023 we celebrated our diamond wedding anniversary, which was an exceptionally nice afternoon party enjoyed by all. With only a few relatives to come, we both agreed it was the best party we have ever had! As much better with all at the home too. Our thanks to the staff chefs and everyone who helped us organise the party. Long may the good care continue.
My mother has been in Beech House Care Home for a number of years. It was a really happy home in the beginning but unfortunately, under a couple of new managers, the atmosphere began to change as did the staff. Now, I'm very pleased to say the hone is a really happy place once again. My mum has always had excellent nursing care throughout all the changes so I never had any thoughts to move her. The new manager is lovely and knows the home well.
My father has been a resident in Beech House for over a year and the care has been exemplary. The nursing staff are wonderful and the carers are absolutely super. Dad is full of praise for all his meals, a good variety and beautifully presented. The receptionist greets everyone with a smile and everyone loves her. My father was very ill when he arrived, but he didn't want to go into a home. Now he loves it and I'm going to put my name down early!
