View Full Details of Glastonbury Care HomeI stayed for 10 days after a new hip operation. The staff were professional in their expertise and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. They gave me my injections and changed my wound when needed. It was like being in a posh hotel. Everyone obviously enjoyed working there as I was always greeted with a smile. They gave me what was best for me, not easiest for them. I would highly recommend it to my friends and family. My recovery has been excellent because of the good start I had. The activities were encouraged and all joined in, not just watching.
Glastonbury Care Home Staff cannot do more for my Grandmother. They are extremely compassionate, supportive and understanding. I know she can be hard work, dementia is such a horrible condition and as a family we know this is not her. Special praise for the lady who has been looking after Granny and is always so amazing with passing on information, just really carers for the residence there, which you can see. I saw her yesterday and I honestly just think she is incredible and we love her banter, especially with Granny. I think it is easy to always see the negatives in everything but really feel the care has been first class, thank you from the bottom of my heart (and can also probably speak for my whole family).
Dad went in for respite, while we worked out his best options. We were very impressed and booked him in to be a resident. Sadly he passed away after a sudden decline, but the care of the staff was awesome.
My dear mum was only on respite but ended up a resident mum was well cared for the staff are brilliant mum called the staff he girls when mum needed more care the staff were there for mum the staff at times were very busy but still had the time The food brilliant thank you all at Burnell care
My mum was taken from hospital to Glastonbury Care Home for rehabilitation. I am so pleased that she was sent here. All the staff from managers to the cleaners were absolutely amazing. Showing my mum, respect, dignity, care and most of all a smile and encouragement. Nothing was too much trouble, although everyone was so busy. The daily activities were a joy to attend and the staff ensured that everyone enjoyed themselves, whilst being looked after in every way. Thank you to all the staff, I am very grateful.
My husband is cared for by kind, compassionate and highly competent staff. Nothing seems too much trouble. It is sad that he can't return home but fortunate to be in the Glastonbury Care Home.
It was extremely stressful when I discovered that I had to move my husband from a care home close to where I live. The positivity and welcome at GCH was incredible, from the initial admission procedure I began to feel a confidence that I had found the right place for us. There were some painful and tearful moments in coping with change, but with professional kindness, comfort and understanding we quickly began to feel at home. The atmosphere within GCH of feeling part of a family with fun and friendship thrown in, I find too difficult to describe, but it's there and very precious. Thank you on behalf of us both, it's well worth the drive across the levels to find my husband cared for by a class team!
I'm thrilled to share a review of Glastonbury Care Home where my best friend stayed. The care home was absolutely fantastic. The staff there provided exceptional care and support making sure my best friend felt comfortable every step of the way. The facilities were well equipped and accessible allowing residents to move around easily. The activities offered were very engaging and inclusive, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The meals were not only delicious but also catered to various dietary needs showing a genuine dedication to the well-being of each resident. Overall the care home was wonderful.
The care and welfare of my father was exemplary. The nursing care was excellent and Dad loved them all, obviously couldn't recall names but called everyone Love/Sweetheart or Son. The treatment that was given gave me confidence and peace of mind for his safety. Communication was faultless. Nurses notified me of any issues and health concerns they had also asking for permission of certain issues. Admin staff at the home itself were friendly and very very helpful if I had any queries. Everyone old, and new, members of staff were always smiling and welcoming. One big happy family who was very welcoming and warm. Therefore I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all and making my 94-year-old Dad happy in his later years before his death.
The care my husband received was excellent.
My Mother was at Glastonbury for about 6 years before her recent death. I found the home very caring and helpful throughout my mum's life there and I feel that we couldn't have found a better place for her. I wish all the staff well and thank them from the bottom of my heart for looking after her.
Mum has lived at the home for over 4 years. Her needs have changed considerably and she now needs nursing care. The staff are amazing and the care and compassion both to mum and myself have made a such a difference to our lives. We were lucky to find you. Thank you so much.
My husband had wonderful care in Westhay from admission to death. All the staff were amazing and so kind. Nothing was ever too much trouble and also dealt with him with a smile and a cheerful manner. I would highly recommend Glastonbury Care Home to anyone.
My elderly father has recently, spent a 2 week respite stay in the home. Right from my initial contact, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate his needs. He thoroughly enjoyed his stay and was extremely well cared for. Communication was excellent, and the staff worked together as a very resourceful, happy team. They are so friendly and supportive and yet thoroughly professional and responsive. Senior management is very strong and leads their very capable, energetic staff. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home. We feel very grateful and very lucky to have such an amazing resource in our local community.
Outstanding care of my step mum, the staff are so friendly. The smiles on their faces, you can see and feel they love their jobs. You can feel the warmth, it's like a home from home, a warm inviting place. Impeccable service, above and beyond.
Hello Glastonbury Care Home, Just a few lines to congratulate you all, but especially the staff that were on duty on Wednesday 3 July, whilst myself and another friend were visiting a resident. The welcome, efficiency and overall professionalism was evident from the staff in every context. My initial telephone calls, to arrange this visit, were dealt with in a manner that gave assurance. Thank you to - front of house so to speak - doing a great job! Our time spent with our friend was a joy but was enhanced by having a lovely setting and a delightful lunch to share together. Her team leader and his team were delightful. Well done to you all - it's not easy to keep up this high standard. - but please do! A welcomed breath of fresh air. I hope that this message will be shared - from the manager to the respectful cleaner - you all have a vital role to play to make Glastonbury Care Home a home! Great.
I am very pleased that my mother-in-law is at Glastonbury Care Home, she is always very happy there. She loves the staff, the manager is always very good to help with anything you come to ask, he is a very kind person, at all times, also another member of staff in particular is very very good as well, I really can't say any more. I don't think I need to.
My mother was a resident at Glastonbury Care Home (Brunelcare), first for respite care then permanently. The home provided her with excellent care throughout. The staff were always very attentive and kind. The administration was very good. My mother had hoped to stay in her own home but, once that proved impossible, she was very happy indeed at Glastonbury. I have no hesitation in recommending this home.
My father has been at Glastonbury Care Home for over a year with dementia. The home has provided a safe and very caring space for him. All of the staff are cheerful and provide wonderful care and are always happy to discuss any of our worries or fears. Our whole family is very happy with the professionalism that the home provides. We are so glad we were able to get our father in the home.
The care home may not be the most modern or beautifully furnished, but the care the staff give is of the best quality. I can’t stress enough how wonderful all the carers and support staff were during my dad’s stay. They were caring towards my father when he was feeling vulnerable and lonely and they were reassuring to us, his family. Everyone from reception to cleaning, office staff as well as the staff on Dad’s wing, were friendly and helpful and always smiled and greeted you. Dad enjoyed the food and although he wasn’t keen to join in there did seem to be plenty of activities going on. When my dad passed away they were all so kind and I got lots of hugs, for which I was very grateful.
