My husband came direct from hospital after a knee replacement. I am a Blue Badge holder so we needed extra care before going home. The Beaumont gave us a warm welcome, 2 convenient rooms & helped my husband with nursing care & medication. The care team were kind and helpful & we had a happy,
relaxing 3 weeks recovery, enjoying the lovely garden, homely feel of the place. A very good experience

I was strongly advised to stay in a care home for 4 days following hip replacement surgery, and was pleased that Edgbaston Beaumont could collect me from the nearby hospital, look after me for 4 days and then deliver me home.
The small room was fine for my short stay. The nursing care was
excellent and so was the catering. I had to practice short walks with my fisher crutches and the well tended gardens with safe paths were ideal for this, especially in the spring weather. The days were relaxing as I sat in a comfortable chair by my window overlooking the garden and reading a good book.
Surprisingly I also made a couple of friends as I chatted with the other residents. One shared an interest in aeroplanes. The other struck up a conversation as I walked round the garden.
However I regret that I may have got a bit carried away in my chatting, as most residents were 20 or more years older and quite frail.

I was at the Care Home for a week following a hip operation. The overall experience was excellent. I was treated with dignity and kindness, by staff and management. The receptionist was only part time. I took part in one activity which I enjoyed. The food was generally good as was the
cleanliness of the room. I found the laundry service excellent. The room was perfectly adequate for my stay, but it was rather small if used for a long term resident. Also I was next to an access to a staircase and the door was sometimes left to slam shut, especially at night. The spaces open to all residents were excellent. I often used the 'café. The house was in lovely grounds and I could appreciate the sound of the birds and see the beautiful mature trees from my room which all helped my recovery as did the warmth and friendliness of the carers.

I am a friend of a resident who recently moved into the home. I have been very impressed with every aspect of my friend's care. Staff are professional and extremely caring & they treat residents with courtesy and dignity.
The only 'downside' is the size of the room and in my view the rather utility
type furniture, e.g wardrobe, chest of drawers. However the communal rooms are excellent.

Staff always seem caring and helpful and see to know my sister's needs.
It would be useful to be updated with any change in her care to stop us panicking ie. using a syringe to adminster fluid as she is asleep such a lot.

I had one week respite/ recovery in the Beaumont Care Home in Edgbaston. The staff (especially daytime - same night staff were less helpful and understanding) were friendly and competent. I was disappointed to discover on my last day that there was a programme of activities that might have been at
interest but I was not told about them. The food was excellent. Cleaning and condition of the room was only just adequate given the cost of a weeks stay. Overall it was the attitude of staff and the food that made my stay a pleasure.

Disgraceful - appalling - never again. Do not use this organisation if you care for your loved one. You do have some good staff, but unfortunately, the bad cancel them out.

My stay, although short, was very welcoming, was made to feel comforted, I was looked after very well. I enjoyed my stay. It was a good all round experience.

It is always a pleasure to visit Barchester Edgbaston - I live 150+ miles away but look forward each time and try to make it as frequently as I can - to visit my very elderly uncle. The standard of care and warmth, thoughtful compassion and patience to all residents is outstanding. I have got to say
that in such beautiful surrounding gardens and wonderful modern decor of this lovely old building tranquillity birdsong and gardens. I can see this is where I would want to be at some point in my last years!! Clean, fresh, beautiful. I love the whole staff, such lovely people. Wonderfully calmly managed with professional detail but care and compassion of the very best of humanity.

I have been very impressed at the way in which all staff regardless of their roles carry out their duties in a calm and respectful way making for a good atmosphere. I came here for two weeks to recover from a hip replacement operation, have been very happy and benefitted from excellent care. In
addition to the personal care there have been social activities of a high standard which have added a cultural dimension to my experience.

My Mother went to live at this wonderful care home having just left hospital extremely frail.
Since arriving there, she has gone from strength to strength, not only gaining weight, but also making new friends, and generally increasing in confidence, knowing she is so well provided for and
protected. I can honestly say that nothing is ever too much trouble from any of the extremely kind staff there.
Thank you not only from my self, but the rest of my family too.

My mother moved into Beaumont Care Home 2 and a half 5 years ago when she started to struggle with independent living (she is now 97).
She has always been very independent and I had reservations as to whether she would adapt to a care home environment. Well she has, and it has given her a new lease
of life!
Staff are excellent and there is a very low staff turnover (a big positive); caring, attentive and 'switched on' to individual residents needs and personalities. This has removed a huge burden of worry as we know she is safe and being well cared for.
The activities program has provided mental, social and physical stimulation - and she has joined in things that we never thought she would!
Food is very good. Rooms are comfortable. Visiting is anytime. Overall - cannot fault it!

Very pleased to have had care here for just over a fortnight after a procedure on my leg necessitating complete rest for a few days with my leg elevated and as I live alone this would have been impossible if I had stayed at home. I have been very happy here, being looked after by excellent staff and
management, and would not hesitate to return should this be necessary in the future.

Since our mother's move to the Barchester Edgbaston Beaumont Care Home from her bungalow, the staff have been extremely kind and made every effort to settle her into the home. The management has been very helpful, reactive and efficient to ensure a smooth transition, together with making
considerable efforts with the weekly activities.

Generally, very pleased.

My husband came to you at his agreement as I needed some time to myself - a great success as he loved everything. Especially the food - the care was excellent and he would definitely come back again. His one complaint was no shower in his room, but this was a very small thing.

I could not have come to a better place to recuperate after a hip operation. It has been like two weeks of holiday. All the staff, everyone of them have been helpful, friendly, polite and caring. I could not fault anything.

There is an adequate number of staff to cover all needs of residents including medical. Residents are regularly in contact with staff so any problems can be dealt with swiftly and efficiently.
