We came in for respite care so our experience was one of relief to be looked after. Everyone was helpful and warm. It has been a learning curve for both husband and me and a lifestyle we could adapt to. If we moved in there would be some issues to sort out. Rashwood is a very attractive home with a
beautiful garden and could easily be our future home.

I came from a week in hospital, the difference was noticeable. I have given Good all round - some were very good. I as helped through my recovery by caring staff. Food was generally excellent - a few times less so!

My mom was moved for her end of life care at Rashwood straight from hospital approximately two weeks ago.
I have been so impressed with everything thus far, the building is stunning and the grounds beautiful even in winter. The food is excellent and always well presented, relatives are able to
pay a nominal fee for a lovely three course meal and and join loved ones which is fabulous.
What makes Rashwood so special though is the staff team, domestic, carers, admin, ancillary staff and management have all gone out of their way to welcome my mom, showing such kindness to both her and to us as family members.
I worked in senior social care and health roles all of my life , and to date, Rashwood has exceeded all expectations; Thankyou for the smiles, chats, kindness and care .

I was put in a very difficult position as my mom was in a community hospital, after several admissions to the acute hospital, but was deteriorating and nearing end of life. I was asked to find a nursing home that would suit her needs. I looked at 2 nursing homes but, felt instantly, when walking
in to one of the rooms at Rashwood Care Home, that this was the place for my mom. She moved in the next day.
I have not been disappointed. The nurses and care team are fantastic. Although mom doesn't each too much, they will provide anything that she wants at any time. My mom has settled so well, that although she is very poorly, she is most certainly stable. The staff are all approachable, and I have every confidence that they know my mom well. I feel I can express my concerns at any time and action taken where appropriate. Thank you for being such a wonderful team. You have all made the situation better for me and the rest of the family.

Rashwood has a very warm and friendly environment from the moment you step through the door. Staff are genuinely caring and build good relationships with the residents. They are always available to listen and will accommodate most things at a moment's notice. Food is varied menu wise and a good
selection on offer.
My only criticism would be around some of the planned activities as our mum only has use of one hand so cannot do majority of things on offer. Also there could be more thought put into the activities themselves as can come across as a bit childlike. Most people are intelligent & may find some activities a little patronising? Just my opinion of course!

My mother first checked into Rashwood for a week or twos respite. She was slightly reluctant to go at first but after a very impressive tour of the facilities and the wonderful grounds , she decided to give it a go. Within a day or two she felt relaxed and happy. She realised she was in a much more
suitable and safer environment than what she was used to at home and she is now a long term resident. The carers are so friendly, fun and attentive; nothing is too much trouble. The fact that many of them have worked there for decades speaks volumes about the friendly atmosphere. We can visit her anytime and whenever we do all the staff are welcoming and professional : it gives us a lot of comfort to know that mum is in such safe hands. The facilities and food are excellent ; the gorgeous gardens are a real bonus and allow mum to spend time outdoors relaxing or exploring the paths on her mobility scooter. Thank you all for looking after her so well.

The staff at Rashwood are always on hand for a chat and to make sure the residents are comfortable.
Today I joined my aunt for lunch which was 3 delicious courses. My aunt was offered a choice of activities for the afternoon-watching a film, to play a game with a staff member or a walk round the
beautiful gardens.
Rashwood is always clean and well maintained. And the gardens are beautiful at all times of the year.
My aunt has settled into her new home and I'm confident we have made the right choice for her.

My father was admitted to Rashwood in April 2025.
The care he received was first class. All the staff were friendly and professional.
The overall opinion is that the whole place is very accessible, clean, tidy. The grounds are well kept and very picturesque with a variety of wildlife.
The care
team were brilliant, very friendly and chatty, but also respectful. They nursed my dad until his passing in May 2025.
I cannot rate this place, and the staff, high enough. They were very supportive through out the entire time of dads residence.
I am sorry it took so long to put this review in, but it has been hard to adequately send our thanks.

I arrived at Rashwood directly from hospital where I had a complete hip replacement. |I was very pleased to be shown to a ground floor room very well appointed and with a view of magnificent gardens. From this moment I was treated with kindness best of care and good humour whatever was the
designated job of the person concerned nothing was too much trouble and all its care and comfort helped me to heal and return home on 14/6/25.

Very pleased with weeks stay you respite. Staff all round excellent. Food generally very good. Well presented. Would have liked evening meal with residents but understand they are ready to settle for evening. Would be happy to visit again.

My Mother moved in at the end of February 2025 and our family is very pleased with the care she has received. All of the Staff that I have met so far are not only professional and attentive but genuinely kind, friendly and compassionate.
Rashwood has beautiful gardens which are maintained to a
high standard and my mother has lovely views from her room.
Her room is spacious and comfortable. The food is to her liking and they cater for her particular needs and wants. I enjoy visiting due to the lovely surroundings. I am looking forward to being able to walk around the gardens and sit in the garden with my mother as soon as the weather improves.
I would highly recommend Rashwood Care Home.

I could not fault Rashwood Care Home. My uncle's room was in the old part of the building it had character, fabulous view and was very comfortable. The staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. They did an excellent job restoring his strength and well being. Fabulous care home!

Rashwood Care Home is a very friendly and high quality home. From our first contact with the home until the day my mother returned to her own home we were always made very welcome by all the staff, in whatever capacity they were working. Nothing is too much trouble whether you are a resident or a
visitor. The standard of care is high including the nursing care an the friendliness is genuine. Thank you to all the staff who made my mother's stay so enjoyable, I'm sorry that I can't remember all of your names.

My mother was discharged from hospital to Rashwood for end-of-life care back in March 2024. She was very poorly when she was admitted. Due to the love and care that Mom has received at Rashwood she has clearly thrived and is very happy where she is. Rashwood offers many activities to residents which
is fantastic for interaction with others. The gardens are beautiful so during decent weather it's lovely to walk around the grounds and appreciate how well they are kept. All of the staff are very caring and there is nothing that is ever too much trouble to ask for. I would highly recommend Rashwood to anyone looking for a nursing/care home for their loved one.

My mom and dad are residents at Rashwood. There is a lovely friendly atmosphere at all times. They both receive excellent care. The entertainment team does an excellent job of arranging activities and they both enjoy their meals. I would highly recommend Rashwood Care Home.
