My wife has been a resident @ Argyle Park for 18 months. The care she receives is excellent. All the staff and management do an amazing job, carried out with genuine care and affection. Family and friends of residents are made very welcome - always a cuppa served with cake and biscuits. Entertained with signing, dancing, karaoke and bingo several days a week is always something to look forward to. Sincere thanks to the manager and all the staff.
Argyle Park have really looked after my grandma and helped her to settle in. As a family, we feel reassured she is in the best care and getting well looked after. Staff are caring and on the ball with all the residents.
Mum has been at Argyle Park for just over a week, during this time she has settled so well. She is dressed lovely. The place is kept spotless. The staff are very attentive, caring and knowledgeable. The place smells amazing.
I attended Argyle Park's Summer Fair and was 'blown away' by how much time and effort was put into it. It was very well attended and everyone (resident and visitor) had a very good time. A buffet was laid on and I must say it's one of the best I have had. The quality was excellent and the home should be complemented on it. Both my wife (whose mum is the resident we were visiting) and I could not be happy with the service and care she is receiving.
After several falls and a diagnosis of mixed dementia it was sadly time for Mum to be placed in a care home. We viewed several, large and small and felt that Argyle Park was perfect. The staff are amazing, they work so hard to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, there are always smiles when we arrive and you can tell from the way the residents interact with the staff that they feel safe and comfortable with them. The house manager is brilliant, Mum had a difficult time settling at first and care and advice was available whenever we needed it. Mum's mobility was very poor at times and they now have her up and about with her walking frame. The home is kept spotless, fresh smelling, there are tons of activities, quizzes, crafts, singing, and social occasions with friends and family welcome, and even miniature ponies come now and then. They have visits from an optician, podiatrist, district nurse, GP and also a hairdresser. We're so grateful Mum is happy in her new home.
It is not one experience as such but of many. The staff are so very caring and have a fantastic relationship with the residents. Individually and as a group the residents are like family to the staff. I cannot fault their attitude, care and respect they all show at all times. Thank you to all of you
Mum had been in Argyle Park for the past 4 years, and the first day she arrived from hospital the staff member I spoke to 2 hours after she arrived, said she was "settled" and she remained settled and very well cared for every day of her stay. The facilities are so suitable for the residents, and the staff are excellent, with a real and genuine care for each resident individually including a good understanding of their needs, their life story which brought them to Argyle Park, and their family dynamic. The lounge and garden are the centre of Argyle Park and the residents and staff work together to build a real community environment. As a visitor it's a genuine pleasure to sit and watch things happening. The time has now come for mum to move onto a different nursing home, but this was planned, led by the staff and the care home manager, with ourselves, as we knew that the condition was getting worse, and that a move was needed, thankfully to another home in the same group.
My husband has been in Argyle Park for almost 6 months now, and as his wife who visits every day, we cannot speak highly enough of the staff here. I have seen staff do menial and unpleasant tasks, but still with a smile! Some patients can be difficult with staff, but they do not respond except by kindness. They show patience, tolerance, long suffering but also joy in their work. They spread happiness and joy! The manager is truly an example of the above, too, and so gives a good lead which they all follow.
My Mum moved into the Argyle Park early in 2023. It was a really difficult and confusing time for her. She's now happy at the Argyle Park and this is entirely down to the excellent management and care staff at the home. It's difficult for me as I live some distance away but it's so reassuring to know that she is being well looked after. When I do get to see her she is always very smart and looking well. Communication with the Argyle Park is very good and I'm always kept up to date.
I feel my mother-in-law is well looked after by staff who genuinely care about her. The home is clean and tidy and I feel has improved over the last few years and I have no worries about the safety and well-being of my mother-in-law. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
My mum has been a resident in Argyle Park for two and a half years now, I have no regrets about putting my mum into the home. My mum is well looked after and safe, the staff are kind, caring and understand what mum needs. Mum is always kept clean. The home is welcoming and clean and smells fresh. There have been quite a few good changes in the home since Mum went in. They have good activities and also a great singer every week which the residents really enjoy, Mum joins in with the singing, it's lovely to see her singing with a smile on her face. The manager and the care staff are wonderful. I don't know what I would do without them. Thank you all.
When it became clear that my mum needed full-time care due to advancing dementia, I was filled with dread (and guilt), especially after my previous experience of trying to find good dementia care for my dad. However thanks to the manager and the team, this experience has been very different. Understandably Mum took a little while to settle but was supported in her transition with kindness, respect, patience and empathy from the staff team. As a regular visitor, it's very apparent that these attributes underpin the excellent care provided by the staff at Argyle Park. There's no doubt that this is one of the hardest decisions you'll ever have to make but living here has undoubtedly improved the quality of my mum's life and we now have peace of mind that she is well cared for, safe and engaging in activities she enjoys. With a responsive Manager heading an excellent staff team, I would definitely recommend Argyle Park.
Our mum has been a resident at Argyle Park for 2 years now and our family are so grateful to the manager & her team for the excellent care & attention they pay to all the residents. Each dementia journey is different and the staff adapt their skills to meet individual needs. We recommend Argyle Park at any opportunity. Thank you.
Mum moved into Argyle Park two years ago. Although placing a loved one into care is the hardest decision I’ve ever made, I have no regrets about placing her there. The manager and all the team genuinely care about the needs of all of the residents, Mum is extremely well looked after and her days are filled with activities and enrichment. Prior to Mum moving in, I was trying to care for her while working full time and our interactions were mainly transactional. Now that her needs are so well met, I can actually spend time with Mum again properly and be her daughter again.
Would just like to add my thanks for the great love and care that has been given to my wife over the last 12 months at Argyle Park Care Home that my wife, who I must add is the love of my life suffers from Alzheimer’s and when it came to the point of having to find somewhere to give her the best care available as we are both in our 80s I could not have found a more ideal place for her to reside as I found 12 months down the line. The staff and carers are so wonderful with her which I must add makes life for me a little easier, God bless you all at Argyle Park.
My father has been a resident at Argyle Park for almost two years. From the first time I visited Argyle Park to find out more about the suitability of the home, I have been consistently satisfied with the care and attention my father receives. The care home is always clean, bright and cheerful. The staff always make a special effort to decorate the care home during holidays and special occasions. It is always a welcoming place. I have got to know the staff during my regular visits - they are always friendly, kind and attentive and I feel happy knowing my father is in safe hands there, with a team that always tries to do their best. The food is home-cooked and of excellent quality. When my father is distressed or anxious the team go out of their way to comfort him and senior managers always do their very best to find a solution to calm him down. From day one the senior managers have been absolutely excellent. The management is exemplary. Can highly recommend Argyle Park.
Having made the hard decision that we were no longer able to care for Mum at home, we began our search for a care home. As a worker in the healthcare profession, Argyle Park had come up in a positive way during several conversations, so it was where my search began. The manager met with me and gave me invaluable advice. She didn’t push her care home particularly, she seemed more concerned with us knowing what to look for in a good care home. Finding the best for Mum. It wasn't ideal for the home, but they juggled everything and Mum moved in the next day. Emotions were high, tears were flowing. It’s never going to be easy, but the support we received from the manager and her team will always be remembered. They embraced Mum and helped her settle. They sent us countless photos and videos to ease our minds. They answered every stupid question we fired at them. Even when the going got tough, they were honest, open and all ttogether caring and helpful. Thank you.
Our Mum, who suffered from dementia, passed away in July. I know she always had excellent care in Argyle Park. Everyone of the staff was caring and skilled at meeting the resident's needs. The manager and staff have also always been available to support us, this support has continued after Mum died. When I visited Mum there were often games and quizzes taking place, she and everyone else thoroughly enjoyed the parties and celebrations. Mum liked seeing the hairdresser and having her hair done. Mum spent a very unsettling week in hospital in June. At the last minute, the hospital planned to discharge Mum to a different home. The manager rang the hospital several times to discuss this, and extra support for Mum was put in place at Argyle Park. Without this intervention Mum would have passed away in a home she did not know with carers she had never seen before. Thankfully, Mum returned home to Argyle Park. We are so grateful for this. We wish the Manager and staff all the very best.
My mother-in-law has been a resident for twelve months now and has settled really well, I visit my mother-in-law regularly and always see staff around the residents either supporting them to eat and drink or just spending a few minutes chatting. Everyone is calm and very professional.
Argyle Park provides great care for my mum she is well cared for. Recently a new manager has taken over the running of the home and has done a great job by introducing more activities to engage the residents. She has introduced a staff member who does the activities with the residents like singing, parties, dancing and painting. Also asking the residents what they would like to do.
