View Full Details of The GroveThe staff at The Grove not only looked after my mother-in-law, they also looked after our family. Being kind and caring and showing nothing but love for my mother-in-law.
My mother arrived at The Grove in January 2023. After spending 17 years in a home which closed down. We never thought my mother would settle in. However she did not just settle in she thrived. This was due to the kind, caring staff who treated her like a queen. My mother absolutely loved her time at The Grove. My mother knew everyone, she knew about their families and every one had time for my mother, and this from the manager at the top to the washer lady! The grove staff not only showed kindness to my mother but also to all our family members and I will be forever grateful.
Well what can I say as they have look after my gran for about 3 years after moving from her old nursing home after it closed and the help her settle in and she made some good friends on the way staff and residents. She knew the staff by name as they help her come out of her shell. The care was really good even more when it came to the end of life the staff all help her to the best that they could.
My Grandma was cared for like she was a member of The Groves own family. Caring and compassionate but with genuine love and laughter. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Meal selection was excellent and catered for individual need, my Grandma asked for 'Eggs Benedict' during the last days of her life, and this is exactly what she got. All of the staff are beyond excellent, staff delivering direct care, cleaners, cooks, entertainment and management. You'll never understand the impact you can make. My Grandma was genuinely loved by all of the staff and she whole heartedly loved you back. If I could recommend you a million times over, I would. Thank you will never be enough.
My family are so grateful to every member of staff who works at the Grove. My grandma loved it at the Grove. She was loved and very well cared for in her 2 years in the home. As a family we can not thank you all enough!
People tell you that you will know the right nursing home when you visit, they are right. We were looking for palliative care, the staff showed care, compassion and respect from the moment we visited, and during the time my mother in law stayed. The room was a good size, super bed, we could bring her possessions in to give that home feel. We felt comfortable leaving knowing that, checks were being done, and we would be contacted if needed. The whole building was clean, lovely and homely, the food looked amazing. The grounds are just right, enough quiet areas.. All the staff were fabulous, friendly and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I can't praise them enough! Thank you for making a tough time easier.
I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff on duty this afternoon. The care, compassion and respect they showed my mum enabled her to have a very dignified death. They were all very supportive to myself and my daughter at a very distressing time, making the situation more bearable. It is times like this where we realise how fortunate we are to have people who care for and about others. As a colleague of the care sector I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I knew I had chosen the right place for Mum and that you all made her final two weeks as comfortable as possible.
The staff are very friendly and extremely efficient and I would recommend this home to anyone with elderly, frail relatives.
My brother initially inspected "The Grove" for our Mum and was so impressed he asked the manager immediately if he could reserve a place for her, what an excellent choice he made. It's convenient, and comfortable, the staff/management are approachable and appear happy in their work which must be demanding. The facilities as is the choice of menus excellent, the accommodation is adequate, clean and serviceable. The downtime areas, inside and outside, are attractive and well cared for. The care our mum receives is first class as she can be quite stubborn at times (but can't we all), the activities are varied and constant. On the whole we can't find any negatives. Mum is settled, well-fed, warm and well-looked after. Thanks a lot.
From my first visit to look around The Grove I was impressed by the way the manager spoke to me - with genuine compassion and care and everything I saw and heard gave me confidence that my husband would receive a good level of care. It soon became apparent that everything at The Grove was excellent. The genuine and sincere care and compassion from the staff and the general 'family feel' every time I went in to visit. My husband received the best care. The staff treated him with sensitivity and dignity and also cared for us as a family too - thank you!
The care at The Grove Care Home is the best I have seen. I have visited many care homes in my job. This was the best. The staff and team have created a family like no other.
The place is modern with 1 level living. The food is of a high standard with a variation of foods on the menu. The staff are very helpful and friendly they give support to the residents The management gave information on the processes of my mother's care, there are daily activities, the rooms are quite comfortable adequate and clean and it gives I think value for money. Overall it is a nice comfortable place for my mother.
The Grove is an exceptional home, I can't recommend more highly for your loved one. The manager is approachable, caring and knowledgeable. The home is very well run ensuring the safety of residents. The staff are truly special. There is a real team/family environment. They have one vision in mind and that is to provide excellent care and support to the residents who live there. Together, they create a real welcoming, friendly and caring 'home' environment. The staff know residents well and are compassionate and sensitive to individual needs. They treat people with dignity and respect and go the extra mile for people. The home is beautifully clean, well maintained and there are always lovely displays of what is going on or activities residents have been doing. Bedrooms are personalised and always clean. There are a wide range of activities for residents creating memories and fun. Communication between the home and family is very good with regular newsletters and posts on social media
The staff at The Grove have been truly amazing from the first moment my mum arrived. They are so professional and the care they give is outstanding. Mum has settled quickly and we are safe in the knowledge she is in an excellent care facility. Nothing is too much for the nurses, HCAs and all support staff.
Cannot praise The Grove enough. They have given my dad exactly what he needed, plenty of interaction and care. This is from all staff. I am totally happy with the care he receives, he loves it there.
We took time to review a number of nursing homes before moving my mum to The Grove in August 2022 after mixed experiences at her previous nursing home. The Grove had excellent reviews and our experience of meeting the manager and staff gave us confidence that Mum would be in good hands in a safe, clean and friendly environment. That initial feeling has proven to be right. All the staff are caring, professional and cheerful. Although bed-bound 24 hours a day, Mum has built up a good rapport with all the carers and nurses and trusts them all. Most importantly, she is happy with the care she receives. Also, when we go away on holiday, I have confidence that Mum is having the best possible care and they help with remote communication where necessary. I'd recommend this homely nursing home which treats residents and family with care and respect.
The staff are wonderful, caring for my mum, who has lost all mobility and has advanced dementia. She is looked after with kindness, dignity, skill and respect. The home itself is very clean and well maintained, regular activities are organised, and menus are planned to suit the profile of residents. There is regular communication with me if Mum's condition changes or if she has any concerns. I recommend the Grove unconditionally. The care and professionalism are apparent from the moment you go through the doors.
The staff were excellent in the care they provided my father who had lost all mobility and also suffered from dementia. He was completely at their mercy but at all times they treated him with dignity and respect. I cannot praise them enough. There will always be issues but as soon as we had any concerns, we as a family were listened to and any concerns of ours were quickly dealt with.
The caring, professional feeling of warmth and love from all the staff was second to none. Not only the resident but the whole family were treated with love and affection. I cannot recommend this home too highly.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all the care staff and nurses at the Grove care home, you have been truly amazing. Myself and the family cannot thank you enough for the care and love you have shown to my mum. Sadly, she passed away yesterday and my heart is truly broken but I know she is now at peace and my, what a fighter she was. Also, a huge thank you to the carers who respected my wishes and dressed Mum, before her departure. Thank you so much.
