View Full Details of AshcroftI have found this care home to be excellent in caring for my mother with dementia. She has been at Ashcroft for over 2 years now, and has been treated with the utmost respect, kindness and compassion. Carers know my mum, understand her needs and respond accordingly. Staff see residents as a family and genuinely care. I can approach with any concerns and I am always listened to and responded to. I cant recommend this facility highly enough.
5 stars is not enough! Ashcroft is our lifesaver for both my mother in law and the family. We could not be happier with the service and it is obvious my mother in law is very happy there. All staff are friendly, welcoming and competent and nothing is too much trouble. I observe all clients being treated with dignity and respect! I would not hesitate to recommend Ashcroft to anybody wanting a safe, happy and respectful environment for their loved one!
My wife being well cared for during an assessment on behalf of social services. On assessment conclusion if it is to stay longer at Ashcroft this will be very acceptable.
Mum has lived in Ashcroft for over 2 years, it is essential that as a family member you have complete trust in those who care for your loved ones. Every single team member at Ashcroft give's everything to make sure their residents are cared for, and treat with kindness, dignity and respect. I feel happy and content knowing that Mum is truly in the best place for her surrounded by compassionate professionals.
Excellent friendly staff, always keep me fully informed of any developments in care and welfare of my mother, I am fully supportive of any decision they make and they always without fail contact myself or my brother , the home is first class in cleanliness and ambience, no hesitation in recommending it to any other person
From the first enquiry we made with the care home all the staff have been and continue to be great. My family and I are very happy with the home and the care my mother is receiving. I would recommend this home.
I can't fault Ashcroft. From initial enquiry and my visit to view the home when my mum was in hospital, I was impressed by the standard of the home, the friendliness and can do attitude of the staff. The staff are brilliant with my mum and are easy to communicate with. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum is settled and happy - and I know she is in great hands!
My mum went into Ashcroft for respite care, initially for 4 weeks but was extended twice due to deteriorating health. It was a stressful/emotional time as a family but the support received, care & love from all the staff - deputy manager, team leaders, carers, housekeeping and chefs was fantastic. This shone through when we wanted mum to come home for her last days, her wish. The compassion & determination shown in a difficult situation will never be forgotten, especially towards my Dad/wider family.
Mum was a resident at Ashcroft care home from November 2023 until her death in July 2025. I am very happy with the way the staff treated her and myself whenever I visited. I was always informed of any incidents and every time things were dealt with professionally. Overall I would be happy to recommend Ashcroft care home.
I'm very impressed with Ashcroft Care Home. My Dad has been a resident there for two and half years and is extremely well looked after and cared for. All the staff and management are incredible. They all love my Dad and treat him with respect and dignity. He has formed very positive friendships with several of the care team as well as some of the residents. He has a lovely, bright room and has his personal things that matter to him around him. The main thing for me is that my Dad is safe, secure and looked after.
I couldn't fault my dad's care. The staff at Ashcroft were wonderful. His care was exemplary and the staff were caring, patient and fun too. The whole building has such a pleasant atmosphere and it was a lovely place for my dad to spend his final days. Thank you all at Ashcroft
One of the hardest choices is putting a loved parent in residential care. Luckily we chose the best home for my mother in law and she settled in from day one. As she had vascular dementia, her behaviour could be challenging at times but all the wonderful staff treated her with infinite patience, love, care and humour. Nothing was ever too much trouble. She was always encouraged to join in with all the activities and to 'help' other staff with duties, such as the tea trolley. Staff were always vigilant regarding any health issues and responsive to concerns (of which there were very few). Ashcroft has a low turnover of staff, which speaks for itself and great effort is put into the home looking clean, tidy and smelling nice. When my mum in law reached end of life, after 2.5 years there, the staff looked after her with the same absolute love, care and devotion and also provided us with the same care, love and support. We cannot thank them enough and we highly recommend.
From the moment I entered Ashcroft to visit my sister the centre and ALL staff exuded a very warm welcome. It's very clear my sister absolutely loves it in Ashcroft and has settled in there very quickly indeed. The care, concern and friendliness of all the staff I came across was of the highest level. Thank you very much indeed to the Ashcroft team!
5 Stars - A Truly Special Celebration at Ashcroft! We recently celebrated my mum's 70th birthday at Ashcroft, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. The staff went above and beyond to make everything feel personal, thoughtful, and full of love. From the decorations to the food, to the gentle caring way they look after my mum, it was all handled with such warmth and kindness. My mum was absolutely beaming - she felt so special and truly celebrated. It meant the world to us to see her surrounded by people who clearly care so much for her. Although my mum has been a resident for a relatively short period of time, Ashcroft has always been a wonderful place, but this party really showed how deeply they value the people in their care. Thank you for making Mum's 70th so memorable, we'll treasure it always! x
The care and love shown to mum was lovely and reassuring that she was being well looked after. All the staff worked together as a team, always having a ready smile. Mum was only there for a few weeks because her health was in decline. The staff were brilliant ensuring she had everything she needed to keep her comfortable, clean, nicely fed and lots of company and chats. We visited often, as her health deteriorated and were always welcome. Observing staff interactions with other residents was reassuring too. Everyone was treated as a valued individual.
Not been here for about 4 years but it looks amazing. It's changed so much. The rooms are beautiful and the staff couldn't have been anymore helpful. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
I am really pleased with the staff, they have made my husband settle in and he has settled in faster than we expected. The home is very clean and smells nice. We are pleased with his bedroom especially the garden view. I stay for my lunch three times a week and the food is excellent.
My mum was a resident in Ashcroft for 3 years. She had several medical conditions including vascular dementia and at times could be difficult. During her stay at Ashcroft, the staff from carers to domestics were amazing, treating Mum with respect at all times. She was given encouragement to join in activities giving her some purpose. When Mum passed away in Ashcroft the love and support shown to us as a family was outstanding. I can't thank the team enough. They became like a family to us. I would highly recommend Ashcroft to anyone looking for a care facility for a loved one.
Mum has been there for 4 weeks now and every time we visit staff are friendly and helpful. Always ready to answer questions if we have any or point us to the right person who can help. All interaction has been kind and respectful whilst maintaining a good sense of humour, they have found the right level of interaction with mum and have good 'banter'.
This home is very nice, the staff always introduce themselves when entering a person's room. They are happy to help when asked for something, they are very kind and courteous. It's clean, very caring understanding. I would definitely recommend this home to other people.
