View Full Details of Park House Nursing HomeI am very pleased with the care given to my partner. You are doing a wonderful job of giving her care and compassion with her illness. She could not wish for better carer long may it continue.Thank you once again for all your help to make er comfortable.
Park House, a family run home was the final home for five family members over the last 40 yrs, the last one died recently. Living 170 miles away, trust and truthful communication was essential. I am pleased to say that the new owner fully intends to maintain and build upon this standard of individual care and homely atmosphere and has been meticulous in communication where necessary. Medical care was exemplary, personal contact with the doctor straightforward, relations were looked after kindly at all times. Inevitably problems arose and were dealt with the owner himself, immediately, fairly and thoroughly and the outcome fully communicated directly. The rather grand Victorian House in its peaceful setting offers ample parking. The new owner is steadily upgrading the home where needed and I wish them well in future.
My Aunty had a medical incident & was hospitalised for over 6 weeks. Suddenly I was in a position, as her only family member in the UK, of having find a nursing home with the guidance of social services. She needs 24 nursing & Park House were keen to take her on as a resident & in touch from the outset of my journey. I visited one weekend & was welcomed by the staff nurse, & the care assistant who showed me around both single & shared rooms (& by shared that is only 2 people, not like a hospital ward). Due to her fast track funding, for end of life care, I chose shared so funding would last longer rather than topping up for a single room. However since going in she is up & dressed every day, eating well & generally thriving (& even with dementia having very vocal opinions) I cannot explain how amazing the home manager has been & indeed all the staff who are friendly, welcoming & professional & helpful when things are overwhelming! It's an amazing place
My brother was a resident at Park House Nursing Home, Queensbury, Bradford until his death at the end of November 2024. He had been cared for at this home for about 10 years, having suffered a catastrophic stroke and various other conditions, which rendered him immobile and difficult to speak with. I was a regular visitor and had many opportunities to evaluate the staff looking after him. In particular I paid specific attention to the quality of care afforded him following the change in ownership. Many staff members left and were replaced by younger carers, which caused me concern. However, I needn't have worried, the new team showed great compassion and professionalism towards him, at all times. I am forever grateful to them for completing their duties to a very high standard.
My mum entered into the Park House nursing home for end of life care in September 2024. From the beginning the process was faultless, her room was allocated and prepared for her arrival, upon arrival she was made comfortable. The home is in a great location, very quiet and good surroundings Due to mums condition she was bed bound, and did not use any of the facilities. All her medical needs were catered for and she was checked upon through out the day and assisted with food and drink. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and updated us on mums condition and how she was doing, and if she was unwell they would contact me to advise. Overhaul i couldn't have wished for a better place for mum to come to her end of life, the staff were very caring and attentive. I would highly recommend the park house for care. Thank you to all staff.
My husband is well cared for and always seems content when I visit. As well as other activities there is a chair based keep fit class on a Thursday and along with other residents he enjoys this. The staff at the home are brilliant and always friendly to residents and visitors. The laundry staff do an amazing job and non of his clothes have gone missing. Applause to the cooks as well the food is freshly prepared and looks very appetising. All in all I would highly recommend the home is always clean thank you cleaners and the gardens are lovely especially in the summer.
Mum moved into Park House at the end of October 2024. Initially we were concerned how she would adapt to life in a Nursing home but staff were so friendly and welcoming that Mum soon settled in. She is well looked after and her individual medical needs are being catered for. When visiting Mum staff are always friendly and welcoming and usually give us an update on how she is doing. Park House is a safe and secure environment in a peaceful location.
Set in lovely woodland grounds with safe secure environment. A good range of services and facilities. The staff are very approachable, respectful and have great empathy with those in their care. The communication between the home and ourselves is very good and keeps us informed.
My husband lived at Park House Nursing Home for 10 years following a massive stroke. He was well looked after for this whole time getting all the care and attention he needed. He was for most of this time totally reliant on the staff for all his needs, which were all met perfectly. I visited twice a day until the Covid pandemic and knew he was getting well looked after during my absence. The whole team cared about him and the rest of the residents so much. I was always made welcome by everyone especially in the latter years, I class most of the staff as friends and keep in constant touch with some of them. I would recommend Park House to anyone wanting a homely, caring environment for their loved ones.
The staff and quality of care provided to my elderly aunt with dementia is excellent. I would recommend the home without hesitation. She is treated with care and compassion. Communication is good, I am kept fully informed at all times.
My dad was struggling at home due to dementia and declining health. I was recommended Park House by a friend who worked in health and heard it had good reviews. After a visit dad was transferred and after a rocky start settled in. The staff are very caring and supportive of my dad's needs as he has fluctuating intellectual ability and is often confused. He receives personal centred care, meals are nutritious with a choice to eat in the dining room or his own room. He always looks cared for and clean and enjoys the entertainment provided in the conservatory. I feel reassured my dad is in Park House as I know he is fed, cared for and safe.
Park House is a fabulous care home. They provide an excellent care service and have great communications with relatives, providing regular updates on status and wellness of residents. The home itself is clean, comfortable and welcoming. The staff at Park House are a vey dedicated team and provide great round the clock care for their residents. Unable to provide feedback on food as dad is on a PEG feed.
Really nice, friendly care home, all the staff are lovely. I would highly recommend to anyone.
Mum has lived at Park House Nursing Home for three years since her health deteriorated. She is happy and settled there and is well looked after and loved. She needs a higher level of nursing care and her personal needs are met with dignity, care and sensitivity. Mum has vascular dementia and is unable to get out of bed. The staff tend to all of her needs, including feeding her and assisting her to drink, all the time maintaining her dignity and chatting to her about things from her past to engage her where possible. Mum has favourite staff members who can raise a smile and the occasional word which means so much. The GP practice who look after the residents is really responsive to Mum's needs.
Very helpful with my mum's care! Mum liked it there. The staff were very friendly with my mum and great with my dad who went to see her every day. The food was very good and they were more than willing to give her anything she wanted.
Following a week's respite Mum didn't want to leave and was happy to stay a bit longer which became permanent! The staff were very accommodating making her feel welcome and comfortable. The language barrier wasn't an issue as we feared, her English improved as she grew confident. The premises were clean and never had an odour as you experience elsewhere. The premises itself is an old building but generally well maintained, the old lift had started to play up lately but the staff ensured the residents were well cared for and very regularly checked upon. It was pleasing to see Mum taking part in the activities arranged by the care team. Flexibility for the family to visit anytime was never a problem and also to take mum out for the day. From the laundry service to the catering, all was good. Access to medical support and nurses was super. The grounds & gardens are all well-maintained and very pleasant. Great place for Mum to spend her last days in total happiness. Will always be thankful
My experience of Park House was faultless, all staff were amazing. They were very welcoming when my family visited. The home was very clean and always very fresh smelling. They were very caring, informative, and compassionate, and reacted very quickly to any changes in my dad. Care staff were second to none, and do at times have difficult jobs to do but do it professionally. The food was very good and always a selection. Thank you very much for all you did, I would highly recommend Park House. Thanks again.
We selected Park House for Mum, on the recommendation of a friend whose father had been a recent resident. We very quickly realised what a good decision that had been. Mum received the very best care from all at the home, the staff treated her with love, respect and compassion and she thrived in the homely environment, particularly in the conservatory lounge area. The nursing care was exemplary and the personal support she received in her room, was carried out in an efficient and professional manner, with the utmost care and consideration. The home-cooked food was top quality and nutritious and the meals adapted to Mum's changing requirements. We have only good memories of Mum's time at Park House, something for which the family will be forever grateful. Thank you again.
Resident always appears well-dressed, clean and tidy. Due to the patient's dementia, it is difficult to know when she is talking or tied or living in the past or is just confused. I have always found the staff polite and helpful.
I knew that Park House were fabulous as my friend's father-in-law had received palliative care there. However, the staff far exceeded my expectations. It was lovely to be able to prepare the room in advance of my friend's arrival (including a 6ft Christmas tree) so that he had familiar things around him. It was also fabulous to be able to visit whenever I wanted. As a result I popped in twice a day on the way home from work. My friend spent his last days feeling loved and cared for and was allowed to die on his own terms and with dignity. For that I will be forever grateful.
