View Full Details of Aden MountI would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone at Aden Mount Care Home for the exceptional care and compassion they provided to my father during the ten months he was with them before he passed away. From the moment he arrived, the staff welcomed him and I with warmth and understanding. They treated my father with dignity, kindness, and genuine affection, ensuring he was not only comfortable but truly happy. It was clear that the team at Aden Mount cared deeply about his wellbeing, both physically and emotionally. What stood out most was the sense of community and family that the home fostered. We were always made to feel included and supported, and that made such a difference during what could have been an incredibly difficult time. The staff's dedication, patience, and empathy brought comfort and reassurance to us. We will always be thankful to Aden Mount Care Home for the love and respect they showed my father, and for the heartfelt care that surround him until the end.
I never imagined I would need to consider a care home for my loved one. Like many families, we always hoped we could manage at home, and the thought of handing over such an important responsibility was overwhelming. From the very first visit, this home changed my perception. The staff were warm, approachable, and genuinely caring. The atmosphere was homely and welcoming, not clinical or impersonal as I had feared. They took the time to get to know dad as a person, not just a resident, and included us every step of the way. The level of care has been exceptional. Whether it's medical support, day-to-day attention, or simply offering a kind word, every member of the team shows patience and compassion. I've seen such a positive difference in dad's comfort and happiness since coming here. This home has given us peace of mind and allowed me to be a daughter again, not just a carer. I am truly grateful.
Excellent care by chaps trained team. All the staff are helpful and caring. In the nine months my wife has been here there seems to have been very little staff turnover which is to the home's credit. At times staffing levels can seem a little low, but considering the shortage of funding I'm not surprised. Many thanks everyone.
Our mother has been in Aden Mount for 2 years. In this time she has been admitted to hospital twice and on her release back to Aden Mount she has had bed sores and been very weak, we thought we were going to lose her. Each time Aden Mount has nursed her back to health, got rid of her bed sores and made her strong again. March this year our mothers catheter came out she had, had this for a year, the district nurse decided she no longer needed it. My mother is 93 and the effect of this impacted her quality of life so much she couldn't leave the commode. She was uncomfortable, unhappy and depressed. The senior carers listened to our mother and they took on the professionals they made phone calls, submitted forms, chased them up and then started again when nothing happened. They made them understand why it needed to be replaced for our mother. After many, many phone calls and conversations they won the battle for her. She is happy, comfortable and has quality of life again thanks to all their hard work. The staff & manager show great commitment, empathy & professionalism. Thank you for caring Aden Mount.
I can't thank the staff at Aden Mount enough for the kindness & compassion they showed my Dad during what turned out to be the last 5 weeks of his life. It was a great comfort to his family to know that he was being well looked after & cared for with warmth & dignity . He was so settled which was lovely to see. They made the last weeks of his life so much more happy & comfortable & were so kind & supportive after he sadly passed away. They are truly special people & I can't praise them enough.
We can never thank enough every one of the staff for their warmth, care and compassion shown to our wonderful mum during the time she was in their care. They are angels and set the standard all nursing homes should strive for.
I cannot recommend Aden Mount highly enough. The staff were without exception kind, loving and compassionate. My mum adored them. They were so professional yet warm and funny and they could not do enough for us as a family, day or night. The home was warm clean and bright and so cheerfully decorated for Halloween and then Christmas. It really was a lovely home from home for my mum with plenty of room for her own personal possessions and decorations. The staff here are angels and laughed and cried with us. My mum spent her final months having nursing care here and we have nothing but praise and immense gratitude to everyone at Aden Mount Nursing Home.
Aden Mount was recommended to me by a friend and I know why now. The staff go above and beyond and nothing is too much for them. My aunty didn't want to go into a home but she told me on numerous occasions she liked being in the home because all the staff were once and kind towards her. Even though they are all really busy they always have a smile on their face. They were also very good to me when I visited my aunt. I would recommend 100%.
Excellent care - which led to a speedy recovery in my case. Good 24-hour care monitoring and food very tasty. No complaints. They always seemed to go above what was necessary in order to make you feel at home and food and drink are available throughout the day at any part of the premises at no extra charge.
We have recently had to look for a care home for my Aunt. We visited 8 homes in the area. This was traumatic, to say the least. Some of which were so dismal it was heart-breaking. Aden Mount was the only one who asked about my Aunt with a genuine interest in the person & not just a number. We were taken into the office and offered a drink. We were asked all about my Aunts, and likes/dislikes. The Deputy manager showed true professionalism. She did not rush us, we were shown around & met some of the other residents, & staff. All the staff we met were friendly & all seemed happy in the work. The communal areas were bright & clean. We got a good vibe about Aden Mount and it was a happy place. The rooms are spacious & well-equipped. But overall it was the team of staff who made the decision easier for us as a family. All of the team deserve to know that you are doing an amazing job & it is very much appreciated.
Mum arrived at Aden Mount for end-of-life care, unable to eat or drink, therefore needed to be comfy, warm, cared for and pain-free. Mum arrived Friday evening distressed from the journey. Staff on duty were very concerned for Mum, her distress and comfort. Included me in every step until they thought her OK to move to her room. The sister on duty until 7 pm Saturday and Sunday on the nursing floor was wonderful, caring and looked after Mum. Mum passed on the Sunday evening, us with her. Staff couldn't have done more for her, they were lovely. The atmosphere in the home, warm, friendly, asking if we needed help. Room lovely and airy. Privacy and care for Mum until the end. Thank you.
Staff don’t know how to take care of patients. My grandad has been treated disgustingly. They have been told multiple times he can’t feed himself. He is at end of life and has dementia. He’s left with porridge all down him for hours on end. This has been going on for months! Disrespecting family wishes. It’s disgusting, sort your staff out and do your jobs! Family trust you with their family members so we don’t have to worry, yet we can’t even trust the so-called workers you have. Disgusting!
The care my mum has received has been outstanding in difficult circumstances.
Mum seems to be looked after and quite content. All members of staff who I have had dealings with are very friendly and warm. Any queries I have are always answered very quickly. No complaints at all. Keep up the good work.
My mother has been a resident for many years. The staff have been great throughout this period. The home has always been kept clean and tidy and one member of staff has always been helpful and will do anything for you. Good management and home.
My mother moved into Aden Mount Care Home straight from hospital for palliative care and spent too short a time in their care. I was very nervous about my mum going into a nursing home but the staff couldn't have been more thoughtful or caring. They took such good care of my mum and me and my family. I can't thank them enough for making the last week of her life as manageable as it could be for us, as a family. I have nothing but high praise for all of the carers, the administrative staff and the nurses.
Both Mum and Dad had used this care home for extended periods until they passed away in their nineties. During their time at Aden Mount, they received the best possible level of care imaginable, with the staff being extremely friendly, caring and attentive to their every need. During our regular visits, the staff were always friendly and attentive to our needs and communicated with us in the event that specific health matters required discussion. The care home is well maintained and the outside areas are colourful and bright and surrounded by well-kept gardens. This was a very safe and secure place for both Mum and Dad to spend their last years and were always treated with respect and dignity. Our family wishes to extend our utmost thanks to the wonderful management and staff at Aden Mount.
My dad was admitted to Aden Mount care home. I and my family couldn't have gotten through everything without the support from the staff - kind and thoughtful people. They not only took care of my dad, but they also took care of me and my family.
My friend has been in the home for over 5 years. Whilst he feels safe in the home the standard of care is very variable. The room is often untidy and not cleaned properly. Items like electric toothbrush, shavers, etc are not cleaned and I have to take care of them on each visit. The room has become tired with the curtains hanging off the poles. Not until recently, with the appointment of the new Deputy Manager has any attention been paid to correcting this and decorate the room. My friend always took great pride in his appearance and whilst accepting that he is now permanently in a wheelchair, he looks untidy and dishevelled. Showering is not undertaken on a regular basis, requiring prompting for it to be done. Multiple requests have been made for water to be provided on the table at mealtimes. For short intervals, this is adhered to and then forgotten. He has to wait long periods to be attended to which causes him great frustration and anxiety. Initially, the home arranged trips out to supermarkets etc.
Dad was admitted on 11/11/22 suffering from terminal cancer and unable to do much anymore for himself. The lack of care he received while in Aden Mount was very distressing so much so we made the decision a couple of days later to bring him home. He would go hours at a time without being checked on, on one occasion we arrived at 11 am in the morning to find he hadn't even had a drink, and a couple of occasions we had to chase his breakfast down as he still hadn't received it going on to 10 am. He wasn't moved regularly to ease pressure sores and a full wash was a treat, 2 days he went without any wash. When we mentioned to the nurse that nobody was checking on him we were told he was looking frail so they didn't want to disturb him. When he rang the bell so he could have help getting to the toilet it would be a 15 - 20 minute wait, in fact, it was so bad that my mum took over taking him to the toilet and even staying overnight to make sure his needs were met. Staff was lovely just not enough of them.
