Before my sister moved into Mayfield West my niece and I looked at several homes. We both felt this was the home we felt best about. The residents are very well cared for, food is excellent and staff always friendly and smiling. My sister is very happy there and has no complaints.

I really could not be happier with the care my relatives receive at Maryfield West. They are cared for, respected, involved and are safe. The staff are all lovely, helpful and engaging. The facilities are great, the rooms are very lovely and they are all clean and well looked after. There is a great range of activities for residents, and opportunities for friends/relatives to be involved also, which is fabulous. The care home is also well managed and relatives are kept well informed. Overall I am very happy with my and my relative's experience with Maryfield West.

We came to visit our dear friend who had moved into Maryfield West a week ago. She was in very good spirits, and although she can no longer live alone, she seemed very settled. The staff were attentive, finding a quiet place for us to chat and providing hot drinks. We spoke with the activities coordinator, who told us our friend had immediately taken part in a keep fit session as if she had been there for weeks. We spoke with her for quite a long time as she was keen to find out more about our friend and her interests.

I am happy with the way the care home is run. My partner is in good hands and being well looked after. Just could you tell the nurses that wash and dress that they use too much shower, at home the big bottle would have lasted at least 2 months, here it only lasted 3 weeks. Also I had to replace a new hairbrush and sometimes he is a bit smelly from the bottom. But these are only minor things so don't worry about it.

I am grateful for the care that this home provided for my mother in her last days. She was treated with respect and close attention. The staf were patient and kind and very solicitous of my motber's needs. They were supportive of my and my my neice's needs as her only family visitors in a trying time. We did visit a number of other homes, and this was the facility that impressed us with their facilities and levelmof care. Mum settled in well and was kept comfotable and supported in her final hours.

The team at Maryfield were very professional and friendly they made us feel very welcome. They were very helpful and no problem was too big for them. They felt like an extension of the family and advised us on all aspects of living there.

The staff are very patient and kind to my mother and are always very friendly and supportive.My mum has settled in well and participates in the many activities that are on offer after viewing a number of other care homes we felt that Maryfield West was the perfect home from home for my mother

Mum was at Maryfield West from November 2023 until she passed away very recently. The care that Mum received during the 13 months she was living there was absolutely fantastic. The entire team at Maryfield have been like an extended family to Mum and she was very happy and settled right from the start. Mum loved joining in with the range of activities on offer and it has always been so impressive to see the effort made to include everyone. It has been so lovely getting to know all the team members each time we have visited from afar and we couldn't have wished for a better home for Mum to be cared in, especially when she needed it most. My heartfelt thanks go to each and every member of the wonderful team at Maryfield for the care that Mum received.

Review is limited as only commenced at the beginning of January 2025 in respite care awaiting an available permanent room. I have been extremely impressed with all aspects of care and attention given to both residents and visitors by very helpful staff.

All staff at Maryfield West Care Home have been excellent and extremely friendly and helpful since our Dad became a resident just two weeks ago. All his needs are attended to and everything has been well explained to our family. Our dad has also got his appetite back and is eating well again at the Care Home.

My mum was very well looked after for the 3 weeks she was in for respite. From the beginning, the communication was amazing e.g asking all about my mum's likes/dislikes and routine etc. The staff were very friendly and really seemed to care. My mum seemed very happy and I would not hesitate to put her back in.

I am very impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of every member of staff. The menu choices are good and look appetising. The activities look fun and most residents join in with a smile on their face and again appropriate for all. Staff seem to be aware of the resident's needs and always seem happy to help. I am delighted with this Care Home.

In the 5 months my dad has been at Maryfield, the care and compassion shown towards him has been excellent and family members have also been made to feel very welcome. Any medical problems are dealt with immediately. All staff members are so friendly and it's apparent they all get on very well working together. When we leave after a visit, it's a great comfort to know that Dad is safe and being well looked after. Would highly recommend this care home.

From the first time I visited, I was very impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. The facilities and the food all seem very good and my mother is very happy with her care here.

I need you to find somewhere for my friend relocating from England. The manager in particular was helpful in making it all work. Staff in the home are friendly and caring and cope well with my friend who can be stubborn and challenging. The atmosphere in the home is lovely.

We arranged for a short-term respite stay for our mother, which was her first time in a nursing home and we were very pleased with the service provided by the staff at Maryfield. Our mother was made extremely welcome by all the staff and was treated in a professional manner. She enjoyed all the meals provided and the variety of choices offered for each meal. The room provided whilst small, was comfortable and clean throughout her stay. The staff were always attentive and helpful and made our mother feel at home during her stay. We would have no hesitation in recommending Maryfield and returning in the future.

Very happy with the care my grandparents have received and how they are settling in. The nurses and staff are very supportive and patient making sure their needs are met. There are plenty of activities on offer including days out which look really good.

A good team of staff, managed by a professional and approachable manager. Good communication is very apparent amongst every shift on my mother's state of health, hygiene and medical needs. The team all display genuine care for the residents, including the receptionist and the maintenance technician too.

Maryfield West is a very well organised care home. The staff are incredibly friendly and approachable. My aunt has settled well here, and I know she's being well looked after. There's regular activities and outings for the residents to take part in. The rooms are of a good standard. The outdoor space is lovely and well-maintained. The meals and snacks offer good variety. The thing I like most about Maryfield is the happiness of the staff, it creates a very pleasant environment for the residents.

Delighted with how my mum has settled into this home. A huge change for her after being in her own home for 60 plus years and in a different city, but the management and staff have really helped her settle in. I feel they are confident and compassionate in their work and take time to chat to the residents and get to know them. The activities are varied and interesting and the visits from local schools are really enjoyed by all. The home is very clean and well-maintained and care is put into how the residents are dressed each day.
