View Full Details of Loxley Park - Avery HealthcareFrom the first phone call to enquire about their service of respite care for my mum who was at the point of being discharged from hospital to the time when my mum was ready to return to her home, I can say that the professionalism, advice and friendliness were outstanding. We chose Loxley Park as my mum was not fit to return to her home after being hospital but did she not require specialist nursing care and we were searching for a way to help her recover her fitness and confidence. The manager of Loxley Park visited my mum in hospital initially and then phone calls with another member of staff followed to arrange an apartment initially for 2 weeks which was then extended for a further 3 weeks. All the staff were very helpful. The apartments are fantastic. There was always a good choice of food which she could choose to have delivered to her apartment and she did a mix of eating in the restaurant or in her apartment. If there was an option to write more I would! I 100% recommend Loxley Park.
Having visited a dear friend over the past year, the staff are the best I have met, friendly, helpful, very very caring and it is so refreshing to see the care and attention they give is lovely to see.
The care, understanding and sensitivity to my fathers needs have been exceptional. This has helped dad settle in his own time and build warm and real relationships with his carers and all staff. Every single member of staff is kind, caring and take the time to get to know him, his interests and his needs. I feel safe knowing my dad is in their care.
My nan recently stayed here on respite, and the whole family was blown away by how amazing everything was! She really enjoyed all the activities, especially the crafts and loved the food. When visiting any staff, we came across those who were friendly and chatty. Thank you so much for all the care!
My Grandad recently had a short stay at Loxley Park. I can not praise this place enough. My Grandad has a small appetite but everytime I visited he commented on how nice his meals were. All staff I came into contact with were very pleasant and polite. Overall a great experience with my Grandad already talking about returning.
My mother has become quite frail and lacking in confidence living alone in her apartment, she had become reliant on assistance to carry on her usual routine, so to necessitate a well-earned break/vacation, we decided to look at Loxley Park for respite. We were extremely pleased with every aspect of her care and compared to other places was extremly good value for money. We as a family cannot express how impressed we were with every aspect of her stay there and would recommend to anyone to make use of the establishment.
My parent moved into Loxley Park early 2025. It has mainly been a positive experience. They have had an issue with a bathroom but this has now been resolved. The staff are very caring throughout all grades, food is excellent and kitchen and restaurant staff are very attentive. Management staff are very approachable. A couple of negatives, staff should have an appropriate area to smoke instead the drive as visitors arrive, for the amount of money residents pay this doesn't look good. Staff also shouldn't need jackets in the building it is not professional.
All the staff at Loxley Park have been fantastic since my mum moved in in April. From the first day she arrived, all the staff knew mum's name and went out of their way to help her settle in. My mum has been quite anxious but the kind and caring staff have worked hard to help with this, and have made sure they have kept me informed too. The activities are great, with at least 3 things happening each day and the facilities are stunning and always immaculate. My mum has reported the food is excellent too. Seeing my mum happy and enjoying life again has been wonderful and I can't recommend Loxley Park highly enough.
I came into Loxley Park having recently lost my wife and also recovering from Neurosurgery after a fall I have two sons who both live away from Sheffield and I was looking for more support than staying on my own at home . I was made very welcome by the staff and I have made some very good friends and I regard Loxley Park as my home and feel very happy here both my sons are extremely happy with my move and I hope to stay here as long as possible
Lovely home and lovely staff amazing facilities and very clean and professional nothing to much trouble Manager is very hands on and very caring will attend to anything that's needed will always have time for my aunty
My Mum has lived at Loxley Park for the last 4 years and she is very happy here. All the staff are lovely and the care she receives is very good. The activities team work really hard to entertain the residents on a weekly basis, and the restaurant offers a great menu choice.
What can I say about Loxley Park. The place is truly amazing! My mum has lived there for the past 18 me maths and in that time, the care and attention from all the staff has been absolutely brilliant! I can feel sorry confident that she is well cared for and always safe no matter what! The activities allow her to still enjoy life even with her disabilities! My recommendation is that if I could afford to live there I would!!
I've viewed so many care homes and Loxley is really special with lovely facilities and wonderful activities, but most of all with its great staff who enable older people to be as independent as able. My dad was at Loxley Park from mid-December to the end of January for respite care, they greatly helped my father at such a difficult time (when he was extremely bereft and very frail after being in hospital). The care, compassion and company was wonderful for him. He enjoyed a lot of the events, the mental stimulation was so good for him too. All of the staff are wonderful and really got to know him. They were also so kind and supportive to me too, providing me with updates and helping to ensure I could regularly stay in touch with my dad. Highly recommended.
Thank you for all you have done for us. We love to stay, but home calls us. All the staff have been wonderful. The apartment was warm and comfortable. The visit was brilliant in every way. We hope we can come and stay another day.
I booked a 6-week respite/holiday stay for my mother following a visit to Loxley Park. I have to say my mother was very reluctant to go and took some time to come around to this. However, from the moment we arrived at Loxley Park, everything was just amazing. All the staff are so welcoming that you immediately feel at ease and safe. The activities are wonderful, the food is fabulous, and mum feels like she is on a 5-star holiday - so much so Mum is thinking now of moving in. The care team are also incredibly kind and I am extremely grateful to have had peace of mind whilst I was away.
All care given is excellent - respectful, dignified, genuine. We had a delicious Christmas lunch, high quality, nicely cooked food (well done kitchen staff), served by welcoming and cheerful dining room staff. Well done and thank you. The receptionists are always helpful and courteous. We also went to an activity (word game and quiz) with my mother-in-law on Boxing day. It was excellent and stretched the minds of all abilities - well attended and I also chatted to another resident afterwards who very much appreciated and enjoyed it. (My mother-in-law did not want to miss it for our visit, another indication that it was very good).
My friend stayed at Loxley Park for respite over the Christmas period. The apartment she stayed in was of a very high standard, very spacious and very comfortable. I was able to book a meal in the restaurant and have a 3-course lunch with her, which I was really impressed with. All the staff seemed really friendly and very helpful. On the few occasions that I visited there was always an activity to take part in. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.
I cannot recommend Loxley Park highly enough. My parents have lived here since early 2019. Recently my father died and the staff were fantastic in helping us in his final few weeks. I know they will now continue to care for my mother and help her through the grieving process. I would like specifically to thank the manager and two staff members in particular but really, all the wonderful staff deserve mention - they are truly a fabulous, caring team. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
The staff from all areas are so supportive. The food is extremely good on the whole and very nicely served. I have been treated so kindly since my husband died. They have made an otherwise sad thing, bearable. Staff have definitely put themselves out for me, and I'm very grateful.
Dad has now been in Loxley Park for three years and he has always been very happy there. The staff couldn't be more caring and they have been brilliant for him in good times and when he's not been so well. He has gone on trips, made friends and enjoyed great food on-site. Myself and the family been able to share meals with him in the private dining room when I have visited - definitely much better food than you'd expect from a residential home! Definitely recommended.
