View Full Details of Cuttlebrook HallI cannot find fault with Cuttlebrook Hall Care Home which is new, modern, purpose built and has ever amenity available to make it a comfortable and relaxing place for residents. The staff are most caring, considerate and helpful which included the restaurants where home cooked food is served, tasting good and looking very tempting to the taste buds. Activities are plentiful to keep residents active.
I found Cuttlebrook Hall great for support after a serious operation. Food and drink was a great help. Staff so helpful and a big support. I wish I could stay longer.
Reception is very busy and welcoming to friends and family. Cafe is in great use by residents and visitors. Medication is given as and when necessary. I don't have to remember to take it! Room is very pleasant and comfortable. I chose to have one chair from my home. Food is excellent - as is the service. Entertainment is good - take part or not as I wish.
Coming here after surgery has been the best decision I could have made. Staff are so helpful + kind, nothing is too much bother. The food is good with a varied menu. My room is excellent, so well laid out and all amenities to hand. Staff arrive when asked for with nothing being too much bother again. I highly recommend Cuttlebrook Hall. If it were necessary I would come here to stay again.
My mother has Alzheimer's and had been widowed for a year before moving Cuttlebrook Hall. It took some time for her to settle but with frequent visits from myself and my husband and great care and understanding from the staff she is now quite settled. She particularly enjoys all the lively music and party events and has some happy days when she is more down the staff treat her with compassion.
Lovely care home, well run by management team. Carers are very kind and supportive, lifestyle team support residents to engage in a variety of activities should they wish to do so, and housekeeping team keep rooms and shared spaces immaculate. Every member of staff from reception onwards work hard to care for residents, many of whom told us how much they enjoy living there. Would recommend to anyone needing respite or residential care.
Following visits over the years to relatives in care, dad was not keen to go into respite but he clearly couldn't stay at home due to the risk of falling. During our tour at Cuttlebrook, where everything is new and spotlessly clean, we were greeted with smiling faces, happy residents and to dad's surprise - the on-site cinema and pub! He thoroughly enjoyed his time in respite, made friends with the staff and residents, loved the food and joined in the activities. We are considering the options for more permanent residency.
Aged 94 and living alone with family many miles away I had a bad fall (fractured pelvis) needing emergency hospital treatment to be followed by a period of recuperation. I was lucky to find Cuttlebrook Hall who provided me with a very high standard of general care and support with also medical support. This was provided with a most friendly and personal staff. I am very happy to recommend their services.
My mum took unwell following a fall but the staff were kind and attentive over the following days, seeking further professional help as appropriate and keeping me fully informed. I live in Scotland, so the regular updates by one particular member of staff was greatly appreciated and reassuring.
Dad stayed at Cuttlebrook Hall for six weeks convalescence following a hospital stay. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. They went to a lot of effort to encourage dad to socialise. Dad had some ongoing medical issues and the staff were very good at ensuring that dad had the right medical support and regular visits from the GP. We live quite some distance away and it was very reassuring to know that dad was in such good hands. We particularly valued being able to speak to the senior staff whenever we wanted to.
My dad has been at Cuttlebrook Hall for four weeks and the staff have been amazing. Very welcoming and caring. They encourage my dad to socialise and he is settled now. The food is amazing and it is great that he is eating again and building his strength. Thank you to all.
I have just come home after a fortnight's convalescence at Cuttlebrook Hall following a period in hospital. My time at Cuttlebrook was just the transition between hospital and home that I needed. I was very well looked after. My room was excellent. The caring staff were top notch, professional and friendly. There was a very good atmosphere among staff and between staff and residents. The team leaders and senior staff were very good and everyone went out of their way to be helpful. Food was excellent and tasty.
The only criticism I have is with laundry - taken for washing, never to be seen again! Most male residents wear trousers not jeans but come back from laundry with no crease down centre of legs, but like jeans. This is not rocket science and is important to the elderly to look presentable. My husband has 8 pairs of underpants missing and pyjamas, shirts, pullovers - what happens to them?
My mother moved into Cuttlebrook Hall at the beginning of December 2024. She settled into her lovely room with en-suite bathroom and patio very quickly and the staff have been amazing in helping her smoothly navigate what is a huge transition. The staff have also been really supportive to our family during this change. My mother enjoys the variety of home cooked food provided, and various members of the family have enjoyed being able to have lunch with her, as well as popping in for a coffee or hot chocolate and a wonderful offering of cakes and biscuits. She particularly loves being visited by our golden retriever, who is always welcome too. Mum is really enjoying having company and a wide range of activities available. I was dreading the stage when my mother would need to move into a care home but she is happier than I have seen her for quite a while and I can relax in the knowledge that she is safe and happy with a wide range of stimulating activities to engage with.
The respite care the whole team at Cuttlebrook Hall have to my mother in law was excellent, friendly, inclusive and very caring. I would high recommend Cuttlebrook Hall for a home from home feel and care.
Accompanied family member before her 2-week stay for respite. Could not believe the quality of the surroundings and facilities. On collecting my mother in law, I was touched by the genuine bond that had been forged with the staff in such a short space of time.
Mum was very reluctant to go into a care home, but once we arrived with her for a 2 week respite, she was very happy with her surroundings. The staff were wonderful and caring which made her stay very happy for her.
As soon as you walk through the door at Cuttlebrook Hall, you can feel the warmth and care immediately. My father had a short illness recently and we decided he needed some respite care. From the moment he arrived, he was well taken care of with all his needs met, from medication to dietary needs. Once he was feeling better, we decided he couldn't live on his own anymore and he became a permanent resident at the home. He is thriving there and enjoys his days going to the cafe which offers a good selection of drinks and cakes which are made fresh at the home. Dad has always been social and he does like chatting to the residents in the cafe or when having his lunch/dinner in the dining rooms. The home also has a fantastic cinema room and Dad will often go and watch a film that is on offer. They also have a minibus to take residents out on trips, Dad particularly likes going to the market. All the staff are welcoming and warm and nothing is too much trouble.
So grateful to Cuttlebrook for bringing the best out of my grandad and caring for him. The whole family has felt happier knowing he is cared for and all his needs are met and more. He loves the home, more than he thought he would!
A great experience from start to finish. Respite care was received for two weeks. The onboarding process was thorough. The building and facilities are first-class. The staff are attentive and caring and all contributed towards, making it an enjoyable stay. I would not hesitate to use this home for long-term care in the future if required. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. Thanks to all staff involved, the carers, cooks cleaners, and management you did a good job.
