Blythe Rose Care Home is a friendly welcoming place. Entry is secure but visitors can visit at any time of day and feel valued and part of the caring process. Visiting can be in the entrance hall or guest rooms or the resident's own room which are spacious and attractive.
Management are visible and
they and staff greet anyone they meet, visitors or residents, often by name. Any issues are quickly dealt with. A thorough assessment is made of residents before accepting them and every effort is made to satisfy those needs. If you need to use a home for a relative then I would recommend Blythe Rose.

A very nice and homely care facility. The facilities are lovely and the manager called on the day that my mother was received. The staff team are very nice and the rooms are pleasant. There have been a few issues and concerns:
The room has crash mats everywhere for safety yet I find myself wiping
these down regularly due to food/blood/even faeces on them.
The blinds/curtains had been pulled down by my mother and the plaster from the walls is till on the floor weeks later & no replacements arranged.

Blythe Rose Care home has given my Mom & Dad the love, empathy, security and care they both need and made there christmas very special. The staff are very good at all they do for each and every patient but are also very supportive for family members too. I feel so glad we have found a care home as
good as Blythe Rose to care for my parents now I am unable to. Thankyou to you all.x

My husband has been living here nearly 2 years now. I am confident he is well looked after and all his needs are met. He seems very happy and relaxed in his home. The staff are very good and friendly and the management are always open to suggestions on how to improve things. The food is very good
and my husband eats very well. His challenging behaviour is well under control with various strategies in place. Thank you.

My father has been at Blythe since Sept 2025, after having been in a previous care setting. He was not settled for the few months prior to the move, however staff and management at Blythe from day 1 took the time to ensure the transition went well.
It seems at Blythe that my father's health and
happiness in his final stage of life has been top priority. Due to his Alzheimer's, my father can be difficult and lacks awareness, often very resistant to help with personal care needs, however with patience and understanding the staff have got to know him and secured strategies that work best to manage his condition.
Staff at Blythe are always welcoming to family, and seem to fully understand the stress and worry family feel when placing their loved ones in care. The home is clean and tidy and the resident's dignity is maintained in bedrooms and around the home in public areas.
Food is of a good standard and staff will always seek to find a meal my father will enjoy. Highly recommended.

We came across BR Care Home by chance as my father, suffering from Alzheimers and Vascular Dementia had been asked to leave his previous home. Filled with nervousness, we moved Dad to BR. We need not have worried at all, in fact for the entire time that Dad has lived in and been cared for here
(Now nearly 2 years) he has received excellent care and we could not be happier. I do not live nearby and therefore, my need to trust that all is well with Dad is extremly important and to this end, my dad's carers keep me up to date with any developments with my Dad's behaviour, moods and his general day to day well being and I am so grateful for this added care that is given to me and the family.
Whilst my Dad's behaviour can be challenging a fair amount of the time, on visiting him, I am welcomed warmly and get to enjoy meals with Dad, in a quiet room to one side of the other residents if needed and am greeted with staff members across the board whose professionalism is excellent.

My wife has been a resident for 8 weeks and from the very first day has received exceptional care.
The level of professional expertise in relation to her particular needs has been at a very high level.
Visiting with NO restrictions has been of great value associated with a warm and friendly
greeting from all staff.
Most of all, the kindness and friendliness of all the staff which makes Blythe Rose Home a place of welcome which must be the secret of their success !

On the whole, the experience when visiting was an expected. My mother-in-law has dementia which affects her memory (mostly short term) mood and behavior which is why she is housed in the section for people with challenging behavior. To that end it did not surprise me that other residents were of a
similar disposition. The carers appeared to be alert and engaged. Although I felt in some instances a little stand offish when situations escalated which could be why on occassion minor scrapes and injuries are sustained by residents. Feeding and type of food gave me most cause for concern. Despite most of the residents being elderly, the food offered was not what they would've been used to and consequently there was significant waste.
11 November 2025
My biggest issue is with the food as I don't believe what is served is appropriate for the residents as my mom for instance only likes British traditional food such as sausage & mash, roast dinners, cottage pie etc. I believe also that not enough activities are done outside as my mom loves to walk
outside but is very rarely taken out.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care that my mother received during her stay at Blythe Rose. The dedication, professionalism & genuine compassion of all staff made a significant difference in her quality of life.
From the moment she arrived it was evident that
the team were committed to understanding her unique needs and ensuring her comfort. They treated her with dignity and respect, established meaningful connection that fostered a sense of belonging. The individualised approach to her care, combined with warm and nurturing environment allowed her to feel safe and valued.
Even during the most challenging moments, the staff maintained unwavering commitment to excellence, providing not just physical care but emotional support too. It was truly comforting to know she was in safe hands. Though we faced the heartbreaking loss of her passing, our family are grateful for the love and support she received. I highly commend this care home to anyone seeking professional dementia care for a loved one. Thank you for everything you did for Mum and our family.

Mum spent 8 months at Blythe' Rose and we were extremely happy with the care that she received. The staff clearly knew how to handle her challenging form of dementia and we could sleep easy at night knowing that she was properly cared for when we could no longer manage her at home. The facilities
are state-of-the-art with a high staff-to-resident ratio, so much so that we always referred to it as the Rolls Royce of dementia care. Once again, a heartfelt thanks to all at Blythe.

Reception is very welcoming + loved the new dog station which my dog used. My dad has now been moved to the 1st floor from 2nd which is much better as more space. Dad was comfortable + his main carer was welcoming and chatted to us to give us an update on how he had been. Dad was facing the window
which he enjoys + his new chair is better as more support. Floor was wet on arrival by Dad but he had thrown his drink but it was been cleaned up. Very warm, would be good to have some windows open as it was a warm day outside

Care home under staffed. Lot of agency staff who don't seem overly caring. Full time staff overworked but are brilliant with the residents. Activities for residents are not tailored to individual as 'sold' on enquiring about the home, which is disappointing. However, the home is a lovely
environment, food is plentiful and seems good quality. Reception, admin and home manager friendly and pleased to help/
