View Full Details of Woolton Acre Retirement LivingMy Dad has been a resident of Woolton Acre since January this year until 25 October when he sadly passed away. During the whole of this period since Dad arrived he my Husband and I have been treated with the utmost care and consideration and have been welcomed into the Woolton Acre Family. Nothing has ever been too much trouble and all the Staff and Management have gone the extra mile in dealing with Dads needs. Although Dads conditions meant that he had to spend a lot of time in his room he was always included in the homes activities and never overlooked and all the staff have always excelled in caring for him. I cannot recommend this home highly enough as they have also looked after myself and my Husband since the day we all arrived. There is no doubt that this home is 5 5-star and gold standard and I would be more than happy to recommend Woolton Acre to any family member who is looking for care for their loved one. We will always feel part of the Woolton Acre Family.
My husband had two weeks respite care in Woolton Acre while I had major surgery. He is virtually blind and profoundly deaf but the staff all went out of their way to care for him in a professional dignified and caring way. All staff were excellent and very friendly considering themselves a family fostered a wonderful caring situation and atmosphere. I would have not hesitation in using Woolton Acre again. My husband was happy and content there.
The staff at Woolton Acre made my cousin feel very much at home and went that extra mile in her care. She had a lovely comfortable en-suite bedroom with a bay window that looked out on trees and wildlife. The decoration of the home was excellent, having just been refurbished. The very comfortable lounges and dining rooms were lovely. My cousin enjoyed the final few months of her life with staff who really cared about her and who made her final Christmas special. As a visitor I was also made to feel very welcome. My grateful thanks to the management team and all the staff for everything they did in looking after my cousin.
I was really worried about my mum going into care, I need not have as Woolton Acre is a wonderful care home. The management and staff are all very professional. My mum has settled so well and gets treated with such respect and care. Since going in from hospital she has been so much happier. She is in constant pain which can't be cured but the difference in her is fabulous and I can't thank everyone enough.
My relative came to Woolton Acre for 2 weeks respite and chose to stay. It had just been renovated and refurbished to an excellent standard. The staff are compassionate and caring with my relative and the wider family. My relative requires full assistance with showering and dressing and was thrilled to have staff who will have a laugh with them whilst maintaining their dignity. The laundry is well maintained and the home is immaculately clean and fresh. The chef has made my relative's favourite meal on several occasions. The staff have worked hard to make the home feel festive. The Manager and Deputy are very approachable and friendly and it is evident that they want the best for the residents. Being a Registered Nurse myself, the standards of care, communication, compassion, competence and commitment of staff, is outstanding. My relative moving out of their own home to Woolton Acre has been a positive move and has given the family peace of mind in seeing them settled and happy.
My family member is a resident here. You couldn't ask for a nicer well-equipped home. The staff from the manager down are really lovely and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble for them. Heard that it had some bad reviews over 20 years ago when it closed... It has now reopened with new owners and staff and fully refurbished to an excellent standard. My family member's health and well-being has improved immensely since moving here. Highly recommend.
