View Full Details of Barchester Stoneham Grove Care HomeAfter a fall which resulted in broken bones in both legs, my mother was not able to return home. The staff at Stoneham Grove went to great lengths to expedite her assessment and arrival at the home. All the staff were excellent and really cared for mum and ensured that her every need was met. My brother and I regularly commented that we might move in. Mum has now returned home and if she needs more care in the future, for either recovery or more permanent care, this home will be at the top of our list.
Mum is very happy and settled in Stoneham Grove, due in no small part to the kind, caring, friendly and efficient staff. It was a difficult decision for her to become a permanent resident but one she hasn't regretted. Her room is comfortable with a seating area outside looking out to Sulham Woods. Mum enjoys the food and many of the activities on offer. I very much enjoy the delicious cake which is always available! The Manager is very approachable and helpful - I would recommend Stoneham Grove.
Very pleased with room, facilities and particularly the staff who were all very pleasant and helpful. We will certainly use again when the circumstances arrive. Every effort is made to include residents in activities at which ever level they wish.
It was a difficult family decision for my Gran to move into a care facility. Stoneham Grove is local to me and fabulous. My Gran is stimulated, well fed and above all, well looked after. The staff all know their residents and have all put my mind at ease. The activities timetable is fantastic. Day trips are regular and well enjoyed. The grounds are beautiful, as is the 'cafe' in the orangery where you can help yourself to tea, coffee, squash and cake. I really appreciate how present and contactable the management team are. I would (and do!) recommend Stoneham Grove to anyone who is looking for a care home for themselves or a relative.
My father is now a permanent resident at Stoneham Grove after an initial two week respite stay.we were so impressed with every aspect of this care home. Being such a difficult and emotional decision to make, it was important that dad has the best care we could find for him, and Stoneham Grove ticked all of the boxes for us. Although a fairly new resident, dad has settled in so well and already feels at home. Every member of staff I have dealt with has been friendly and approachable, kind, compassionate and helpful . Although dad is in a care home, it feels like I'm leaving him in a five star hotel which offers peace of mind to the family. It is a very pleasant place for the visitors as well as dad. Also I have been kept well informed of all of the activities, trips and facilities on offer. I am honestly sleeping better , knowing my dad's welfare is a priority. So glad that we found this care home!
Stoneham Grove is simply the best. The care every resident gets is second to none. All the staff know every resident and engages them in all activities. Nothing is ever too much trouble. There is something to do for everyone. Our friend really enjoyed her respite care and said quite rightly - it is like a 5 star hotel. She has already booked her next respite with a view to stay permanently.
My mum has just had a respite care break at Stoneham Grove and this was her first time stay in a care home setting. The experience has been excellent from start to finish and mum was put at ease straight away. In mum's words, she said "although Stoneham Grove is a beautiful new home, it's not that that makes it, it's the wonderful people that work there". She had a great time and will definitely be back. It also gave us peace of mind to know that she was well cared for.
Stoneham Grove is a beautiful home in a stunning woodland setting but what is most beautiful about it are the staff. The care shown to Mum has been second to none. Each member of staff greets her with a smile or little joke building a rapport which has enormously helped her settle in beyond my expectations. Mum loves to chill in the lounge, the social hub of the home, to have a cuppa & cake watching the world go by or to chat to her friends. There are many fun inclusive activities & in one week she enjoyed: Pet therapy where she bottle-fed a lamb & cuddled rabbits, chicks & a piglet: Interacting with local pre-school children decorating biscuits: An exercise class/balloon games followed by supper & cocktails in the garden with her friends: Gardening club. Needless to say her room has everything she needs but she doesn't spend much time in it! Management respond well to any issues & ideas meaning I still feel part of Mum''s care-team. Heartfelt thanks to everyone at Stoneham Grove.
Our close friend has just spent three weeks having some respite care at Stoneham Grove Care Home and she was really happy there. All of the staff were kind, friendly and caring. The home is beautiful and the food is excellent. We would be very happy to go back or recommend this home to anyone looking for a top-quality home in an attractive location with excellent care and support.
My mum, who has dementia, moved in last week and as a family, we have been very impressed with the level of care and attention she has been receiving. We feel all the staff are very caring and friendly. We would definitely recommend Barchester Stoneham Grove Care Home for anyone who is looking for quality care.
My Grandmother moved in a few weeks ago and we have already seen a vast improvement in her. She is encouraged and very happy to partake in activities and events at the home. The home is more like a 5* hotel rather than a care home, which is also reflected in the food, nail bar and spa! Staff have been very, very accommodating from reception, housekeeping, hostess, carers, maintenance and management, nothing seems too much trouble for anyone. A big thank you to all who are taking care of my Grandmother in her later years.
