View Full Details of Langtree Care HomeMum came into Langtree initially for 9 days respite care whilst I went on a much needed holiday. Upon my return and during my first visit to mum at Langtree she was quite adamant that she would like to stay longer as she was really enjoying her stay. She had nothing but positive things to say about the staff who were very friendly and caring, the excellent food, her lovely comfortable room and the amount of engagement activity, both planned and adhoc. She had her 91st birthday whilst in Langtree and they made such a fuss of her which she absolutely loved. Mum ended up staying for 4 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed her stay. I have no hesitation in recommending Langtree.
Langtree is a lovely care home. My Mum is on respite there and is being extremely well cared for, after several difficult weeks in hospital. All of her needs are taken care of, with minimal fuss and Mum has made amazing progress. One of the best features is the staff that work there, nothing is too much trouble for them and they make a lot of effort to build a meaningful relationship with each individual resident, from day one. It's lovely to see Mum's face light up when she sees a member of staff. When I have questions or concerns there's always a member of the caring team or a manager willing to discuss things, which is very reassuring. As well as trips out, there is an incredible variety of well run in-house activities for residents. These make a massive difference and create a positive and fun atmosphere in the home, which all contributes to making it a special place to live. I'm pleased I chose Langtree to care for my Mum.
My mum has only been a resident at Langtree for a matter of weeks, but after ten months of being in hospital, I am seeing an improvement in her. A care home isn't just about the care, but for me it's the whole package, the environment, activities, the staff, the way visitors are treated, the list is endless , and for me Langtree ticks the boxes. Only this week my mum and other residents were taken to a local garden centre. That was the first time in ten months that my mum left a care/ hospital setting, and as an avid gardener, she loved it. Thankyou
Both parents have been at Langtree for a month now and it is the best decision we could have made. The home itself feels more like a hotel than a care home - no beige rooms filled with people asleep in recliners. Their individual bedrooms are spacious and well decorated. The food is plentiful and healthy, all made on site by a great chef. But what really makes it is the staff. They are incredibly hardworking, caring and bright. We've had a couple of teething problems, which is natural since the home opened very recently, but they have been sorted out and I can sleep easy knowing my parents are cared for so well.
