View Full Details of Crossley House Care HomeI visited my brother-in-law here for the first time since he was admitted and was so pleased to see him settled and smiling. The staff were very friendly & helpful. His room's were lovely and most of all, he seemed happy. So glad my sister found him this place. Even my little dog enjoyed his visit.
My mum was in Crossley House Care Home for just over a year. From the very first meeting with a staff member and then the home manager and another staff member at my mum's home, we knew she would be in safe hands. As we got to know everyone at Crossley House (staff and residents), we always felt like were going to visit my mum and our extended family. All the staff tried their very best for my mum, from encouraging her to get up and dressed in a morning, to joining in the activities (which was not an easy task!) My mum could be a fiesty character at times, but she did appreciate all the help and assistance of staff too. We were always made to feel very welcome by everyone at the home and they are all a credit to Bupa.
I brought my Gran to visit a friend at Crossley House on Valentines Day. The home was clean, tidy and decorated for the day. Crossley House was full of life, staff were all happy, supportive and approachable providing conversation, entertainment and a high level of support. Staff assisted my Gran's friend to transfer to allow us to go to her room which was clean and tidy, staff brought us an extra chair without being asked as I had said would sit on the floor. Gran had brought a present; a new cardigan and staff offered to take thisand get labelled straight up so didn't get lost. The staff had arranged small Valentine gifts for residents; flower balloons and some sweet treats and people were having their photographs taken with their gifts. When we were leaving staff all said goodbye and came to assist back into a chair. Much to my surprise when we left my Gran even commented that should it be needed she could see herself at Crossley House as looked like was lots going on.
While visiting two friends at Crossley House we always found the staff very caring and helpful the surroundings were always clean and warm and welcoming.
My Sister in Law has been a resident of Crossley House since the end of October, having had respite care prior to this. I cannot believe the change in her since going to Crossley House, due to the care and attention of the staff working there. She is happy, vibrant and really enjoys participating in all the activities they offer. The food provided is excellent with plenty of choice and healthy options. I cannot thank the team enough, they are like a family, for all their support and attentive care given to each of the residents.
This is an amazing care home. The staff are lovely and caring. It is run very well and I know my mum is in safe hands. They have fun events for residents and all the staff work extremely hard and are brilliant. I cannot praise them enough and would give 6 stars if I could. If I ever needed to be in a care home, this would be my choice and hopefully there would be a room spare for me
Crossley House staff really do care about their residents. It was more than a home from home for mum, as she wouldn't have done half of the activities on offer there had she been home with carers. The communication is good with families, and regular meetings allow any ideas and suggestions to be discussed. The Facebook group allowed us to see on a daily basis what was happening - she was photographed doing bingo, quizzes, meeting the alpaca, amongst others. The layout of the building allows residents to be in smaller areas of up to 14 and this includes the dining room, meaning it isn't overwhelming when they first move in, and that group gets to know each other and also often their families too.
I would like to record my thanks to all the staff at Crossley House for the professional, caring and compassionate way they cared for my mother throughout her residence at the home. In particular, I would highlight the way they dealt with my mother's final days and how they supported her and our family throughout this difficult period. First class.
Mum spent just over two years in Crossley House and was very well cared for and looked after. Staff throughout the home were amazing, all very friendly and willing to help, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.
Mum was a resident for 21 months at Crossley House Care Home and was looked after with love and care. She passed away on 25th January 2025 and was cared for to the very end. All the staff are extremely professional and I have nothing but good things to say about the whole experience with Crossley House. Special mentions for 3 members of staff in particular who were with mum when she passed. I will be forever grateful.
I have been here on a two week respite visit to allow my daughter to have a break and my experience of this has been absolutely amazing. From the top of the scale of staff to the lower scale, the dedication, devotion and caring qualities are outstanding. Their presentation and quality of their uniforms and appearances are second to non and their personal contact with residents is very appreciated. I shall be personally recommending this care home to many friends at several establishments.
Very pleased with care by staff at the premises. Father had a recent fall which they discovered and treated him for the injuries sustained, if he had been home this could have been a serious issue. Glad we made the choice for this home. Thank you.
Since my dad has been in Crossley House, he has been well looked after. Loves the food, loves the staff. Has had 2 falls, the aftercare has been brilliant.
Cannot speak highly enough of Crossley House Care Home. I have never had such love shown to me before and the kindness was lovely.
My mum has been residing in Crossley House Care Home since August. I have not seen her this happy in a long time. I feel completely at ease knowing she is content and extremely well cared for.
My wife has done very well since coming into the home and I enjoy visiting as it is a very good atmosphere. There is the occasional shortage of staff but they cope very well. All in all I am very happy with the care she gets.
My wife has been in Maple Wing for over two years, I visit every day and have found all the staff to be caring and courteous. I cannot thank them enough as not only good care but also peace of mind.
Staff are extremely helpful and friendly and always keep family updated. The home is very clean and the food is well prepared and looks nutritious. The home is very clean and tidy and is always kept to a very high standard.
I am delighted by the excellent care my elderly godmother receives. She is warm, comfortable, clean, and well-dressed. She responds to the staff she recognises with a warm smile. She enjoys the meals very much. The house is very clean and smells lovely and fresh. The staff are so very caring. Thanks to everyone so much.
The care and love Mum received at Crossley House was wonderful. Mum lived there for about 9 months the staff were so friendly and caring and did everything they could to make her happy. There's so much going on every day as a lot of effort is put into giving residents purpose and to keep their minds and bodies active. Mum released doves on New Year's Day stroked alpacas in her bedroom and won many prizes on the quizzes and bingo, she really loved the weekly baking too. We were pleasantly surprised at how far away it is from the stereotype of everyone sitting around in a circle with nothing but the TV on (that no one's watching) to keep them company. Her room was lovely and we could personalise it with her own things. Food was lovely all homecooked and lots of it. The staff from the management to the cooks, laundry, carers activity coordinator and receptionists were all stars and we can't thank them enough. We definitely recommend Crossley House.
